Floodborn for me. The Cinderella card is super sought after and you have a chance at a sad beast which is around $55-$60 (double the price of its foil)

IRDragonBorne

newbie question. don't kill me. Packs are better than starter decks? I'm trying to learn, info is mixed

GengarGangX13

I haven't bought the decks, but if it's like Pokemon and other TCGs, those decks are pre-set with specific cards.

PrincessDinah

The deck itself is a a set of specific cards, it come with a basic play mat, some lore counter and damage counter things, a rule book and 1 booster pack. The starter deck is decent for learning the play in my opinion but boosters are your only chance of getting more rare cards, enchanted cards, other foil cards. For me the starter deck was a great place to enter the game, I’m still playing my starters with my husband and my brother, and just now starting to build my first deck. The starter decks are not perfect, you tend to run out of cards in hand pretty quickly for example but they are a relatively cheap way to get a full deck plus some other items and a booster pack to learn the game

I'm sure other players with more experience will chime in, but I would think Floodborn because those are the older cards and there is plenty of stock of Inklands right now. It feels like they ramped up production with each set so that now there is plenty of Inklands product available (at least in my area). I will buy a few Floodborn packs if I see them in Target/Best Buy

dmillibeats

Floodborn , i personally don’t like anything in ink land

GustavoFring07061

I’m gonna go against the grain here and say Inklands. I love the set, and it has some of the best artwork to date

trunkz623

Floodborn. No contest imo.

Kwasington

It seems like the enchanted pull rates for floodborn have been insanely better for me. Probably just happenstance, but still enough to sway me

Signiference

Same for me. 200+ packs of TFC, 0 enchanted. ~60 packs of floodborn 5 enchanted, ~100 packs of Inklands 2 enchanted.

tygerdralion

Not a guy, but both have great pull opportunities. I'm still hoping for an enchanted location card, so I veer towards Inklands if prices are same.

swizzle213

What are you looking to pull/what is your goal? If you’re going for straight value then Floodborn because of the enchanted Cinderella and some other enchanteds that are going up in value. It also has the potential to have the sad Beast which is around a $60 card If you want more meta relevant cards to use in decks or play with then Id say Inklands. There are a lot more usable/popular cards in Inklands
