Jtown is absolutely higher middle class and some parts are upper class (with the exception of some rough apartments). "Working class" is a weird term. Doctors work more than the average 9-5. Yet they live in some of the most expensive areas.
There are different parts of Jtown. I’m in the smaller houses older part of town. Not the new McMansion part of town. Tons of work vans, etc. I lived in an apartment in St. Matthews & the Jtown vibe is completely different vibe, at least in the part of town I live in.
The term itself is weird, sure. The English language is full of such oddities. Take for example your own use of "doctors" and how that translates to wealth. I know what you meant just as well as you know what is meant by "working class". But if we want to be pedantic then there are plenty of doctors who easily make less than those in blue collar professions. Sure they may not be medical doctors, but they're still doctors. Hell, even some particular MD concentrations don't pay all that great. Jtown is by no means a poor neighborhood but I genuinely believe no one with familiarity of the city would consider it an affluent neighborhood either.
Because the r/Louisville subreddit is primarily made up of hipsters living in heavily gentrified neighborhoods with their noses turned high at the other neighborhoods in the county/city.
I grew up in Shively and Okolona, and for some reason everyone in the western and southern parts of the city think that anything east of 65 is the rich side of town. People are stupid.
I don’t know if it is, but I just assumed everyone is seeing the same one around town. My dad saw it at dollar tree on Westport road. It has Florida plates.
Im not the person you asked but I don’t like him because he tried to manipulate teslas stock price with tweets. He espouses right wine and white nationalist views. He takes credit for the intellectual achievements of the engineers he executed a hostile takeover on. He acts like a man child. He’s arrogant. He pretends to be self made when his father was a profiteer off of apartheid. I could probably keep going but that’s the gist of it.
The more stereotypical neighborhood would be Nulu or butchertown, that's where they tried to attract all the tech bros. Jtown is more like big American suburban truck territory.
Stay clear of it on the road, they are highly likely to break down. Also because it doesn't have crumple zones, if it crashes into you expect to get fucking chopped in half. Stupidest vehicle ever created
I saw it a couple of days ago, immediately texted my friends group. It looks like a 7 yr old built a future car out of cardboard and then covered everything in silver spray paint. Shitty.
Except I'm not poor. Lol. I just don't blow money on cars because they depreciate in value very fast. Not a good investment 😊
Edit: Saw your deleted comment, I drive a 2016 Nissan Sentra, and it's fully paid off. 100K miles, 85K of which is while I've owned it. It runs nice, and is once again, paid off, paid off cars are a sign of someone financially in a good spot. ;)
I saw one on I64 a few weeks ago. It was very hideous. I pointed and laughed. Don't think they saw me though, but glad I might get another chance soon.
*Saw one at Freys Hill*
*And Westport yesterday. Looked*
*Ugly as all getout!*

I saw one in Prospect the other day, maybe 10 days ago. I couldn't believe I actually saw one in the wild. I doordash 40-50 hours a week and I see something interesting every day. I need to get a dashcam.
JTown has lots of problems but it isn't electric cars. You got to single someone out and potentially ruin their day, so congrats, I guess. JTown needs sidewalks and more lanes on main roads, bus routes that go farther, more businesses...
Electric cars are awesome. Cyber trucks are … decidedly not.
People aren’t shitting on CTs because they’re electric cars, they’re shitting on them because they’re hot garbage and ugly to boot.
I've seen a few. One was two tone at the bashford manor Lowes about a month ago. Theres one near the Gardiner lane post office for sale and I've passed one on the Watterson recently. They gain a lot of attention that's for sure, but spotting a new Nissan Z or some other rare mid 80s-late 90s car will have my full interest.
I saw one over off of Gardiner Lane the other day parked by Cross Jeeps. It was near the little dirt course they let people test drive Jeeps on. Based on everything I’ve seen and heard about the cyber truck, it was amusing to think of one of those being driven even on that simple dirt test area.
I saw it in Middletown last week. Spotted my first one on the road while outside Chicago for work the week before. I could get behind the look if it was refined from concept, didn't have awful build quality, and wasn't the product of a total moron's vanity project.
saw one for sale on FB marketplace yesterday. Only had 500 miles on it for $140k. I'm not sure what they retail for, so either they hated it and are trying to unload it or bought it to make a buck.
i saw one last week at the stop light on nelson miller parkway waiting to turn left onto old henry.
it looks closer to that geoff hybrid truck top gear uk built than it does to a normal vehicle.
Where did the cyber truck touch you? No seriously, why do you care? People have been driving ugly, expensive, pompous cars for decades. They have that right.
# "of course it’s in Jtown" Why?
Right I live out here so I don't get it
Jtown is pretty working class. Figured it would be deeper in rich people land.
Kinda the south end of the east end. Which tracks
Jtown is absolutely higher middle class and some parts are upper class (with the exception of some rough apartments). "Working class" is a weird term. Doctors work more than the average 9-5. Yet they live in some of the most expensive areas.

I’d have expected Norton Commons. It’s the first place I saw a Rivian.
I actually saw one coming from Norton commons a couple weeks ago. First time seeing one in real life.
Because the r/Louisville subreddit is primarily made up of hipsters living in heavily gentrified neighborhoods with their noses turned high at the other neighborhoods in the county/city.
the same people on psych meds begging for Adderall availability.
Yeah, seems more more likely east of 265
Didn’t realize Jtown was so prestigious lol
Right lmao, I grew up broke in Jtown. Not like it’s Eastwood or some shit
I grew up in Shively and Okolona, and for some reason everyone in the western and southern parts of the city think that anything east of 65 is the rich side of town. People are stupid.
It’s not 30th street… that’s for sure..
Brave to roll into a town with this many car washes. They may accidentally stumble into one.
Haha
It's probably the one owned by Cross Jeep. I've seen it a couple times on the east end. It's so hideous and impractical.
Saw it in their lot this morning when I passed on Watterson. They’ve got it listed as used for $140k with 255 miles.
[удалено]
It's a car dealership. They have sales agreements with the manufacturer. That only applies for private sales.
I've also seen this one around. Definitely even uglier in person than in the pictures.
I would have expected to see it over on 22 by Costco first.
I saw it there a month ago. So you’re not far off.
Um... there was one literally right behind me yesterday in that area lmao it was my first one. The headlights looked like a glare from the sun
I hope you enjoyed the car I drew in 3rd grade.
Not that I get around all of the metro area but that is where I always see the highest concentration of EVs, especially Tesla and Rivian.
Strange, you see this prinarily where your are, and not where you aren't.
That's where I saw my first. It was glorious
Cool story.
I don’t know if it is, but I just assumed everyone is seeing the same one around town. My dad saw it at dollar tree on Westport road. It has Florida plates.
Same I also saw it on Westport
Yeah I saw one with Florida plates a month or two ago. It was in Middletown.
Yeah, I saw it a few weeks ago on Eastern Parkway. I just remember thinking that I couldn’t believe it looked even worse in real life lol
I saw it yesterday on Hurstborne and it looked like a Pontiac Aztek that hadn't fully rendered in real life. Could not take my eyes off of it.
That is the best description I have heard yet. 😆. I saw one in Shepherdsville about a week ago, I couldn't tell if it had Florida plates.
It makes the Pontiac Aztek look attractive and even that was ugly.
😂
I have been trying to think of the name of the aztek because that’s what it reminds me of.
I saw one on 264. I was one of those “such a shame Musk is such a dickwad, that truck was cool.” Then I saw one… broken down dump truck is right.
Why do you think musk is a "dickwad" ?
Lol for real?
No one ever answers because they don't even know. Just sheep following the herd.

I saw one downtown last week. Looked goofy.
I saw one in New Albany a couple of weeks ago. Why anyone would want a car shaped like Porygon is a mystery.
I mean... Porygon is one of the coolest from gen 1
You’ve got me there!
I saw one in New Albany a couple of months ago.
Not only is it hideous but the build quality is beyond laughable. I’ve been enjoying laughing at these clown cars.
The more stereotypical neighborhood would be Nulu or butchertown, that's where they tried to attract all the tech bros. Jtown is more like big American suburban truck territory.
Probably more lifted Wranglers in JTown than the rest of the city combined.
SO MANY WRANGLERS! And every time I see one I think "Oh my God, you look like the 4th of July. Makes me want a hotdog real bad."
Honestly tho it oddly fit in with all the dodge rams
Lmao ppl cant like things now? "Im such a hater I saw a random persons vehicle & had to make a hate-post on reddit about it"
"& Of course, its in Jtown"
People can’t *dislike* things now?
Lol @ OP
Saw it parked at Tesla earlier this week and just assumed it had already broken down.
“Just like your mother, Trebek!”
Literally looks like a brand new dumpster on wheels
Elon did what no one thought was possible: created a vehicle uglier than the Pontiac Aztec.
Original
Not even close to as ugly as the Aztec.
i would have expected norton commons, theres a bunch of cybercucks in that community already
Why does this thread have over 80 comments??
They done saw a car!
Sorry, seent
This is false. I saw one by Westport Rd a month ago. So…
Did you report it here? Otherwise it didn't happen.
Good point 🤔
I saw it a few weeks back. Posted here and was promptly downvoted for saying how stupid it looks.
I know the feeling 😅
I've seen one in Prospect.
lol i saw one in crestwood going over the train tracks in front of circle k. it was weird seeing one in real life
Stay clear of it on the road, they are highly likely to break down. Also because it doesn't have crumple zones, if it crashes into you expect to get fucking chopped in half. Stupidest vehicle ever created
Is that what I've seen driving around? I thought I was just seeing a lot of lost refrigerators that had fallen off of trailers.
I saw my first one last week, in front of Churchill Downs. Driver was trying to make a U-turn and failing.
Shit, we've already got two of those stupid fuckin dumpsters here in Chattanooga.
What color? I saw a copperish one in Middletown a couple times in the last few months.
Prison gray
I saw it a couple of days ago, immediately texted my friends group. It looks like a 7 yr old built a future car out of cardboard and then covered everything in silver spray paint. Shitty.
I live in Jtown and it better not fucking breakdown in front of my house.
That will never happen, although your shitbox has probably sitting out front with flat tires for years.
If I drive past them I'll be sure to make eye contact and laugh.
Point and laugh.
They will be laughing right back at your poor ass. 😂😂
Except I'm not poor. Lol. I just don't blow money on cars because they depreciate in value very fast. Good for you. No one gives a fuck about your opinion on cars. You probably drive a shitbox that's barely road worthy.
I've seen one in E-town and heard one's been spotted in Leitchfield lol
Trash, trash, trash
I saw one on I64 a few weeks ago. It was very hideous. I pointed and laughed. Don't think they saw me though, but glad I might get another chance soon.

Saw it near 60 and Hourstbourn going to Westport road
I saw it yesterday when I was waiting to get onto 64 from Blankenbaker, I couldn't believe how it looked in person.. in a negative way.
Was it 2 tone? If so I saw it also today. I am not a fan.
Saw it a few weeks ago. I also saw a Ferrari in St.Mathwes yesterday, but that's not abnormal.
The first since the first on Dundee last month?
I saw one in Prospect the other day, maybe 10 days ago. I couldn't believe I actually saw one in the wild. I doordash 40-50 hours a week and I see something interesting every day. I need to get a dashcam.
I saw one parked on Cherokee last week. Doesn’t make it any less ugly or dumb
Saw that one too a couple weeks ago
My sister and her husband just moved into a very nice subdivision in Jtown. Very pretty area, good stores.
It's so uglyyyyyy.
I seen one on derby riding down by 26th & Broadway.
Would've figured the Highlands or Crescent Hill
Nah, libs quickly sniff out someone’s true character.
JTown has lots of problems but it isn't electric cars. You got to single someone out and potentially ruin their day, so congrats, I guess. JTown needs sidewalks and more lanes on main roads, bus routes that go farther, more businesses...

I hope you have a good rest of your day and find some sunshine today
One broke down at chic filet in east end last week
I'm not gonna trust anyone that just said "chic filet"
Get bent, helmet.
They’re trying to sell it on marketplace for $140k smdh
I saw one in Clarksville the day before the recall. There’s also one on Facebook marketplace
Saw one in Norton Commons like 2 months ago
Is Jtown the new Malibu or something? lol
Wouldn't see that in Prospect. People own Porches up here.
I saw that monstrosity at Mango's today. I'd never seen one in person. Absolutely hideous.
priming the target ready for the cyber attack!!
Saw one in New Albany a few weeks ago.
My girlfriend saw it in Douglas’s hills and we’d not heard of them. She described it like it came out of a cartoon, a weird trapezoid. Lol
I would have guessed Prospect or the Goose Creek area.
I saw one of them at the Costco, off of Brownsboro Road.
first i saw was at cross jeep off bishops lane
Saw one in Scott County today and pointed and laughed once we made eye contact.

I seen one charging at the Meijers off Westport a few weeks ago. I took a quick photo because that was the first one I had seen in person.
I saw one on Brownsboro not too long ago. Looks like something off a PS1 game.
I bet their ego is oozing out their ears, no cap
Bestie saw one on the Sherman Minton a couple weeks ago lol
I saw it in Middletown last week. Spotted my first one on the road while outside Chicago for work the week before. I could get behind the look if it was refined from concept, didn't have awful build quality, and wasn't the product of a total moron's vanity project.
You sound like a jealous loser. Get over it.
saw one for sale on FB marketplace yesterday. Only had 500 miles on it for $140k. I'm not sure what they retail for, so either they hated it and are trying to unload it or bought it to make a buck.
I seen one on the 65 with Cali plates
i saw one last week at the stop light on nelson miller parkway waiting to turn left onto old henry. it looks closer to that geoff hybrid truck top gear uk built than it does to a normal vehicle.
i saw one near cardinal stadium a couple weeks ago
you pathetic people have to politicize a truck lmao
I saw one on Hurstbourne near Taylorsville road this week. Terribly ugly.
Apparently they are selling it...appeared on Facebook marketplace for 140k lol
There’s some sort of Tesla service center over by my work in New Albany. I see them all the time.
I saw it driving down my street earlier as well
Where did the cyber truck touch you? No seriously, why do you care? People have been driving ugly, expensive, pompous cars for decades. They have that right.
My brother has one. Pretty cool actually
Does he like it? It’s definitely a conversation starter.
Yeah he loves it. He lives out of state and I went to see him last month and he let me drive it. It’s super cool
I seen one a few years ago.
They only started producing them this year.
There were some prototypes on the road starting several years ago.
