OK so I just watched S5 finally. OMG S5 is the WORST season so far...I know I'm a little behind, I'll be watching S6 soon, but wow, S5 is beyond awful.
I couldn't stand Stacy, she absolutely was the mean girl, but pretended to be nice. But Stacy and Izzy weren't a good match at all. She was too much of a spoiled princess and it was clear she wanted someone who could spoil her, period. Izzy seemed like he was a good guy at first, but after rewatching some parts and watching the reunion episode, yeah it's pretty clear I should have paid closer attention to certain things...that was my mistake and probably why fast forwarding so much wasn't helpful.
After the reunion episode, yikes. Watching the play backs of certain moments, plus watching Izzy still not have any self awareness was cringe AF. I think the show played it so we'd feel bad for Izzy...I see now how the show tried to manipulate his behavior to make you think he was being treated badly, but it's obvious he was an ass really fron the beginning. I personally think he was looking for a woman who could take care of him, & it's really clear he learned absolutely nothing from doing the show. But yes, Stacy was awful. I cringed every time I watched her scenes too.
As for Johnie & Chris....I didn't actually think Johnie was as problematic as Stacy painted her. Stacy was just jealous. Like, in the pods you date multiple people and it's not hard to imagine telling multiple people that they are falling in love with each other because it's such an intense heightened experience. They need to date with so much more intensity than out in the real world bec. they only get a few short weeks, so yeah, emotions will happen for more than one person sometimes. I think that ultimately Johnie realized she messed up and tried with Chris again....I actually don't think she saw him as "second best"...she got worried that playing it safe wasn't the right choice initially, and decided to play into old habits with Izzy. So, yeah, she made a mistake, and even though it didn't work out in the end, at least she tried. But yeah, I think Johnie was fine, I mean, we didn't see enough of her to really get a full picture of her and Chris, but like she could have reamed into Stacy and Izzy and gotten all crazy, but she kept her cool way more than Stacy and Izzy did. So, yeah, I thought Johnie was fine.
That whole Uche thing and Milton and Lydia, I honestly thought Uche was a douche. Period. I'm happy that Aaliyah dumped his ass...I'd heard they did try to date post-show, but yeah, he was a douche. But that brings me to Milton and Lydia. Personally, I felt he was too young for her and I think that he wasn't sensitive enough for her. I think she is all heart and she is judged for her passionate emotions. I think they cared for each other, but yeah, I didn't like them together at all in the end. I'm shocked they got married and are still together.
And honestly, JP and Taylor....oh boy, JP was a douche too, and even worse in the reunion episode. I actually think Taylor is the only participant on S5 I loved. She was so real and sweet and she got screwed over. I felt like what JP did to her was awful and I'm glad she ended it when she did. She deserved so much better.
Overall, I just think that the S5 couples were boring, ZERO chemistry, and putting two people on who'd dated before was absolutely idiotic. I get they were trying to do the "tension" thing, but it backfired & Aaliyah got the crap end of that stick because she never got an organic chance to find love. I actually liked her too, so her and Taylor were great. Ugghh, I just can't with S5, it's just so bad. Hoping S6 is better.
I just finished binge watching (and fast forwarding/watching on 2x the normal speed lol) S5 too, and I completely agree with everything you said — except for the parts about Izzy. Out of all the male contestants from all the previous seasons, Izzy was *thee most dramatic and immature*, period. He had his head so far up his own a** and I think if he were a woman, people would be talking way more crap about him. I haven’t read the rest of these threads but just going off of your top comment, I feel that you are giving Izzy a huge and unfair pass on his douchey behavior. I don’t think I’ve ever hated a contestant more. In fact, the only contestants I may have hated more than him is probably just Stacy and Amber. And don’t try to blame his crappy behavior on the alcohol either - he knew exactly what he was doing and saying to Johnie. More often than not, people like to blame the alcohol for their bad behavior, when really they’re just shitty people even without the alcohol.
So, I should have paid closer attention to certain things, I was really just so irritated by the season I wrote my comment before fully seeing everything. That was my mistake and probably why fast forwarding so much wasn't helpful.

I watched everything except for the last few episodes (I’m guilty of fast forwarding from there because of the lack of and boring couples, so I missed a bunch of the last few details concerning Stacy’s antics)
Taylor was the sweetest one from S5. I loved how she handled herself in every situation. She was unproblematic (I hate that very “basic” word, but for lack of a better term) and even when she would be frustrated with JP, I really loved how she would still come back after stepping away for a bit and try to talk things through with JP. Because she’s a pretty girl (similar to Micah being the pretty girl of S4 - though I’d say Taylor is more attractive and ofc way more mentally mature than Micah) I thought maybe she would be a mean girl too, but I was pleasantly surprised at how kind and mature she was. Goodness I hated JP, Izzy and Stacy so much. They are the worst types of people. To be fair to JP though, he does seem to hold a lot of trauma from his upbringing, so I hope he can get therapy for his own sake and for his future relationships.
I’m sorry to hear S6 isn’t going all that great either lol. I’m about to binge watch it too. May the best individuals/couples win, whatever winning means for them.
Just finished season 5 after watching most of season 6. What a hot mess!! I couldn’t stand Stacy.. she was a mean girl, materialistic, nitpicky and just an all around unkind human.
I dont get how out of probably 1000s+ of applicants, Lydia managed to get herself cast after she found out uche was casted?- unless the producers KNEW they dated, thats too much of a coincidence. And if they knew, she probably told them, and surely they would have said something and confirmed this?
I just finished bingeing this season and my oh my do I feel like they dragged this shit out too much cos no one seemed like they were getting married!! HAHAHA. The producers and the writers were prolly melting having only 3 engaged couples with 1 couple not even making it out of the "dream vacation" alive. there was so much unnecessary drama lmaoooooooo. that bbq was a shit show and a poor excuse for an episode.
ps- I believe they put Uche there to be the new Bartise? and is it just me but Stacy is so Chelsea coded?! They could be twins for crying out loud.

I hated everyone except for Milton and Taylor. But I especially hated Stacy and JP.
Stacy is just a cruel person mean girls kinda vibe and I hate that shit. And I still can't get over JP trash talking Taylor's appearance when he looks like a knee compared to her and his whole wardrobe is 'murica. The nerve. Every man had the emotional intelligence of a paper napkin and talked over women except for Milton.
but Taylors literally first words after she saw him were: "he has a tooth gap"! She didnt like his appearance either. And she kept dragging him on why hes so awkward... annoying. just make him comfortable, hes obviously shy
I don’t think he is shy. I think he didn’t exactly love what he saw when she walked out and that made him reserved. Maybe shock? maybe realizing he was engaged to someone he wasn’t attracted to (kind of defeats the whole purpose of the show). They also cut in parts of him getting along amazingly with the guys in the pods, and with the other couples on the beach. I think Taylor definitely tried her best to get him to open up. Continuously starting conversation just to receive a 1 or 2 word reply back. I can imagine that was exhausting and probably gut wrenching because she knew what it stemmed from, and that hurts. She continuously begged him to try and go back to how they were in the pods, and i think he couldn’t look past her appearance unfortunately. I was really rooting for them in the pods and thought they made a cute couple but here we are.
I’m on EP 5, my thoughts so far…
Utche he seems like a narcissist because he’s manipulative and is judgmental of Aaliyah but then drops a bomb on her and is upset with her reaction. I also think she was super in the right to feel the way she did because she built a friendship with Lydia but Lydia was manipulative from day one when she didn’t tell her about her past and pretended to be a friend to her just to get in her head. Aaliyah felt betrayed by Uche for judging her for her past that he said was recent despite being 2 years ago but then he had hooked up with Lydia only 3 months prior and didn’t disclose that. And he was not understanding at all about how she was processing it even though she had high stakes since she was in love with him and then thought she had a friend in Lydia. Aaliyah deserves way better.
This season is terrible, I know I’m a little late but just now binging it and holy shit this is bad. I’ll be shocked if anyone even makes it to the wedding.
I watched this season with my wife (well, we just stopped after the BBQ, not over yet), but I think it's terrible. I actually quite enjoyed season 4, but people here are just mean.
Lydia to me is a huge manipulative stalker, one of the worst person in this season. If you watch the introduction with Uche, she's not surprised, and she almost instantly asks if it's fate and they should get back together. Then she keeps talkin about Uche to Aalliah, about how well she knows him, she bought gifts for his dogs, she knows her friends, his favorite color, the car he drives... Then at the BBQ, we see she is a stalker, multiple people asking who is the person who keeps watching their stories, yet she tells everyone Uche complains because apparently she watched his stories, but that's not what he said, so she is a liar as well (and she clearly understood what Uche said, because she talked about how she watched these people's stories because of Instagram's algorithm).
As soon as I saw the episode when they met in the pod I told my wife she's manipulative, and it proved me right.
Uche might be pretentious and full of himself, but I don't really get the hate. Yes he called Aaliah, but it's understandable, he was going to propose, then she left, clearly something is wrong and he has no idea what happened, anyone would be like him in that situation \^\^
(he was out of the line at the BBQ though when talking to other girls)
And Stacy is a horrible person, materialistic, manipulative, spoiled. She was so mean to Izzy. Who by the way was so rude to Johnie it was so uncomfortable to watch, it was uncalled for.
Anyway, I'll see how it goes, but it's been quite disappointing compared to last season (I haven't watched any before).
Uche takes a level up in horrible later in the season. The first couple of episodes you think he's being a bit of a dick but maybe he's not getting the benefit of the doubt that he should, but later on he's absolutely a horrible terrible disgusting dude to a lot of different people.
Why is Stacy so obsessed with Johnny LOL like anything she says is about her and then she tries to act like she doesnt want anything to do with her ....... classic fan behavior

It just made me laugh out loud at his commenting on Taylor's make-up. He dresses like a walking American flag most of the time and he thinks she looks superficial because she wore make-up once?
Johnie's interview on the Out of the Pods' podcast is really interesting. (I've liked Johnie from the beginning so nothing really shocked me, but it's still very interesting, especially about the Izzy-Stacy story)
Okay, to sum it up:
1) The producers basically apparentyl "choose" a "perfect match" for you, and Johnie thought it was Izzy and then realized it was Chris, hence the backpedalling.
2) She recognizes what another YouTuber has said (I think it's Indie Nile ?), that what most people take as infatuation is actually most likely anxiety, like goosebumps or "butterflies" in your stomach, those are mostly your nervous system acting out, recognizing something familiar and not good, but a) movies and tv shows show it as love so we're used to think it's love, and Izzy said "all the right things" so she was convinced he was the right one, and Natalie and Deepti said that it is what's frustrating about the pods, people can talk and talk and pretend to be anyone.
3) Izzy fished for infos, and dumped her as soon as he realized she wasn't blonde, because he likes blondes, which he apparently said to Carter. That's why she said "Izzy dumped me for superficial reasons", and also that's why she said "He's not gonna be happy with Stacy", because he probs liked that she was blonde, but maybe didn't connect with her on an emotional level like they did.

4) She says Stacy used infos she said about Izzy to get him, and when Johnnie commented on it, Stacy confronted her and the show just edited it to make her say "you're shady" (or something like that) when she was actually owning up to what happened.
5) She was very affected by the way they approached her at the barbecue, she felt like it was way to harsh, and expected Stacy to do a fake apology in the reunion.
(Thinking back on it made her cry in the podcast)
6) When they were at the barbecue she was in a good place with Chris, she knew the producers were going to make them talk with Izzy and Stacy, she wanted to be cordial - and then Stacy and Izzy insulted her. Both Deepti and Natalie were confused and called Izzy a red flag, because he accused her of having multiple number ones, and seemed to not be over not being the only one she was into and was turned on by Stacy's rant. Then someone pointed out Stacy and him were talking to Chris, so after a tumultuous start she was worried and came over there.
7) She thinks Izzy went so hard on her because he wasn't over everything but also to make Stacy comfortable. She thought they werent doing well if they needed to do that and indeed that same night S. and I. fought.
8) Natalie and Deepti are confused as why Izzy would kiss at a bar someone he said was sketchy and he hated. J. said she was going out with another contestant and found out the male cast was having a party, so she tried to avoid him, he asked to talk with her. They cleared some stuff up (again, Izzy was asking if she had multiple number ones or was it just him). The conversation went well, but she said she didn't trust him right now and didn't want to sleep with him. Then they decided to hang out for a while. She said her self estime was very low after Chris ghosted and cheated on her. Then Izzy another night asked to drive her home, and after that they got into a huge fight where he - again - called her a piece of shit - she needed time since he was recently engaged to Stacy while he wanted to forget about everything and start over.
9) Apparently Izzy had another girl at the bachelor party (which they didn't air because they had to cut out couples), Milton said to her Izzy wasn't good so she went to Izzy and said "I've heard you're not trustworthy so I need time", Milton got mad at her for talking about something he felt was confidential.
10) Deepti and Natalie say Izzy seems to act from a place of hurt, even though it's not okay. Johnnie agrees and commands him for at least apologizing.
11) They kept in contact and he went to her for advice, but at some point she withdrew a bit since she started going out with her current boyfriend, just out of respect, but they were cordial. So it came as a bit of a shock that he still said she was sketchy at the reunion.
12) Stacy didn't talk to Izzy for a year and started to get close again when the show was about to air.
13) Johnnie explains a bit more the Chris thing, he said he was very stressed about the show coming out and losing weight, Johnnie still felt bad she put him "second", and then someone helped her figure out he was cheating (her neighbor, who saw Chris on Insta and recognized him at the pool with another girl - which is very funny cause what were the odds?) So she confronted Chris via text, he said to her she was amazing and he still saw a future with her but he was lost because of the anxiety of the show so she ended it. (Deepti and Natalie were NOT fans of his 😂)
Johnnie said the other reason she didn't choose Chris was because she felt he wasn't all in, and apparently the edit didn't show it but he said "I love you" to another girl in the pods.
14) She forgave him because she's now in a good relationship and also she was very nervous about the reunion because of Stacy and Izzy, and Chris said he got her and she wasn't alone. That's what the whispering was about cause she felt guilty about outting Chris as a cheater and he asked her if she was okay, and also she understood quickly that Stacy wasn't gonna apologize so she tuned out because she was over it and didn't need to hear again why Stacy thought she was a bad person. She admitted it was a bit petty but she knew what Stacy was gonna say and was tired of that whole thing.
Also if you turn the subtitles off, you can apparently see the conversation btw Chris and Johnnie.
15) Apparently Izzy is gonna be on Perfect March season 2, that's maybe why they tried to rehabilitate his image, and cut a lot of things.
16) Johnnie seems to be very happy with her current boyfriend, Alex who she now lives with. They met on a dating app, and apparently he was also almost cast for LIB, and works at NASA. She said their relation is very healthy and that the show didn't change his opinion of her, they're very secure and she was thinking of him the entire reunion to remain calm. She adds that she's an introvert and he doesn't drain her social battery which is good.
17) Jonnie said she wouldnt do a reality show anymore, she's happy in her life and she just hopes the show gets her a plateform to talk about dating people with addiction and stop the stigma around it so people wouldnt feel alone.
Wanted to add, I have no idea what Stacey is talking about when she tried on the first wedding gown. “Boring”??? And then when she’s getting her hair done for the wedding she’s like “I want my hair simple because my dress is not.” And we’ve already seen that the dress is fairly simple.. I’m just not following her logic lol

Anyone on here know why Chris cheated on Johnie?
Also, what kind of lawyer is Johnie? I would not want her to represent me if she can be so swayed by peoples eloquent, convincing words vs factual evidence.
Not all lawyers are litigators arguing in court. You have contract lawyers, real estate lawyers, intellectual property lawyers, wills & estates lawyers etc.

I was disappointed in the last episode tho, felt like they didn't do a thorough research and were biased because they had like half the infos.
But it's still a great podcast to listen to/watch, still recommend it!
I hated this season so much I had to fast forward a few episodes. I even passed to check how many damn episodes the were because this was brutal. I disliked nearly everyone who made a connection. Not sure if it's the editing, but the lack of self awareness and pettiness was exhausting to watch.
I'm all for fun entertainment, but this season makes me really reconsider watching the next. Whomever in charge of casting needs to really get their shit together. And ffs the makeup. For the love of all that is holy.
It feels like so many connections were forced. Maybe there weren’t real life connections and the producers were just backstage trying to influence ppl to sell their souls for the sake of the show.
Like a real life version of UnReal. I truly believe that’s exactly how reality shows are produced.
Edit to add: I just seen a preview for the rest of the season at the end of episode 4. Clearly nobody has real feelings for the people they ended up engaged to. Looks like a lot of drama is ready to unfold and it’s stupid how people seem to be choosing to marry their *second choice* for the sake of… finding true love orrrr staying on the show in hopes they’ll be able to make a real connection with their first choice out in the real world 🤔
I always think it's crazy when they try to switch gears to their 2nd choice 😂. It's super awkward to watch.
Everyone just wants airtime and exposure. People think they can brand themselves but half the time they ain't worth shit.
I’d love for them to have makeup artists do their makeup vs the ladies do it themselves but also feel like maybe that might diminish an aspect of the show.
What I don’t understand is how you know so much about money and have money yet do your makeup that poorly? (I’m not a makeup artist nor not that talented at doing my own makeup. I’m just a person with an opinion.)
I agree that the level of makeup is sort of indicative of their personality. For example, Stacy's sisters looked beautiful imho vs her having the craziest foundation/bronzer combo. But even when she was getting wedding makeup done I thought it was heavy handed. The eyeshadow was unattractive and I thought the lip colour clashed.
But maybe that's what she wanted and if I were the MUA sometimes you just give into a clients demand.
I kept wondering if her sisters tried to tell her about her brows or if they just don’t say anything. Stacy’s are so blocky and dark and her sisters’ looked much more harmonious.
The worst season. Drama is great, but for this show to work we also need at least a few relatable genuine people to root for, the heart!
Like to go from watching the finale of last season twice because the weddings of Brett/Tiff and Zach/Bliss were so beautiful, to fast forwarding the last few episodes of this season — disappointing!
I had no idea why people were hating on JP at first. He seemed so sweet. Then he was reeeaalllyy quiet. Then the first thing he actually talks about is Taylor wearing makeup and how he prefers her without makeup, says it’s not a bad thing and essentially makes it his hill to die on. Suddenly it all made sense.
Dude was just straight up weird. I don't care if you're super patriotic, but anytime your entire wardrobe is red white and blue, or that of your favorite NFL, NBA team... you've got some serious issues.
I though she did a pretty good job navigating this curve ball of a person... hey I'm personable in the pods ... guess what I don't talk at all in person...
Lydia and Milton were given a sweetheart edit and *still* came off terrible. One of the girls in the pods is friends with Miltons girlfriend who he strung along while he disappeared to do the show is talking. The pod girl is Myra and she got to the day before the proposals but was completely deleted off the show. She says the show has been aggressively sending her Cease and Desists just for putting out a TikTok saying she's friends with Miltons jilted ex. The show is working over time to protect Lydia and Milton because they're horrible people. Mayra just gave an interview to RealTEA Check Podcast talking about God, her experience and abit on how production is trying to shut her up. The show hosts also said they've heard something similar from other cast specifically about how your two faves are being protected by production. They desperately need them to be likeable but they're not.
Why aren't we hearing this from the jilted ex? Are we sure this isn't just someone who wasn't in the show trying to get some media buzz? I didn't actually like Lydia and Milton and didn't even realize they were getting the "good" edit because Lydia seemed like 55% insane and Milton seemed crazy immature. But sometime the podcast and the alleged tea are so tenuously justified.
If I were Johnie I’d be swinging on these two bully drama starters, Stacy and Izzy the minute they opened their mouth to me🤣. I just finished episode 7 and 8 and I’m riled up I wanna fight these two my self for Johnie! 😂😂😂
They seriously both rounded on her like two bull dogs. It was disgusting to watch. They both aren’t secure enough in their relationship to just let her be.
I think she is a typical person with aspirations of high wealth and the lifestyle that comes with it. But I would seek out a man with more wealth since it clearly matters to her. This is a very common thing in relationships. Women often want the man to earn more.
I don’t get it. She was barely in the season. Johnie and Chris were so rude talking while Stacy was talking. Also, he was apologizing after he ghosted her. The whole thing was just immature.
I agree with you completely but it wasn’t the wealth aspect. Stacy was basically abusive to Izzy at every turn. She talked down to him and degraded him so many times. If a guy behaved the way she did to a woman we would have had a fit!
Um, Izzy and Stacy are gross and immature. He wouldn’t even let Johnie get a word in and he clearly went into the conversation trying to vilify her.
Johnie is a catch and I’m so glad she ended up with someone as sweet as Chris.

Yes 100% got that vibe about him. I don’t even get what his appeal was in the pods. He also has a lot of unhealed trauma from his childhood that he needs therapy for. If someone asks about your childhood and you just immediately start crying there’s a lot going on there
Seriously. But I thought his attitude might’ve been from being on camera. I wouldn’t be comfortable either, but I also wouldn’t go on the show. He shouldn’t have gone on the show. Not a good look at all.
I agree, I love Taylor. She exudes class and is genuine, smart, funny and beautiful. I can see how she’d be judged by her appearance (I also don’t love the overdone look most women on this show seem to default to but I firmly believe that we should wear whatever amount of makeup we feel like, whenever we feel like it), but that doesn’t mean she deserves to be. She is a mega catch and will find someone great.
I think all the women on season 5 are whacked. Taylor constantly staring at him… she was making it awkward. Illyana or whatever was red flags all the way. Who gives a shit what he did 3 months ago, none of her business. And Lydia remember in the pod with Izzy she said “how will you feel seeing me get engaged…” her desperation was repulsive. Jonnie…scary. Stacy? So off the wall, little she says makes sense. Just because you fake laugh after every thing you say does not make you funny. This show makes me feel I have it all together!
If anyone is curious about Renee and her story on things and why she was cut from filming, Natalie and Deepti released a podcast very recently on Out of the Pods where Renee tells her story and YALL this is CRAZYYYYY. I can’t support this show anymore after this season :(
Basically her and Carter went through the whole process made it to the Altar and everything but because of his threats and a lot of stuff happening on camera they called her in June a couple months before the show was aired and told her they were not gonna be shown because of it and didn’t want her to have to relive some of the scenes she went through but it sounds like they were covering their butts.
Carter was aggressive with production over wanting a water bottle for dipping and got violent when someone from production wouldn’t give up her water bottle, when they got to Mexico and got their phones back, his wasn’t working cause the phone bill hadn’t been paid and he asked Milton to pay his phone bill for him. He got mad at someone in the airport and started yelling and stuff cause they asked him to wear a mask and he refused completely. He didn’t even have a job at all when casted and Renee still chose to try things with him cause he promised to look for a job when they got back from Mexico but when they got back from Mexico she started to learn the truth, he had -$500 in his bank account and absolutely no money, when they moved into the apartment together she felt unsafe and asked several times to back out and production kept urging her to give him a chance and she would leave for work and come home to him wasted at the apartment and food and trash everywhere and he was sleeping all hours of the day and going out at nights to party. She talked with him about it and he got one job interview but nothing ever came from it and then one night he went out and met a girl somewhere and brought her back to their apartment like it was HIS apartment and was showing her around the pool area but didn’t know Stacey and Izzy were up there filming a scene and so they were asking him who that was and then I think production told him the girl had to go and then Renee had a conversation with him about it and let him know she knew to which he then called her some really messed up names and called her a THOT and basically was saying how she thought she was all of that cause of her body and was degrading her completely and said he was a man with needs and she wasn’t meeting those needs and apparently they went to dinner one time together on the show outside of the production dinners they had to shoot and he dined and dashed and told her he paid but didn’t pay for their dinner…also they said if their story wasn’t shown they would still get married off camera and take a trip somewhere but Renee didn’t understand where all of that was coming from when she learned he had literally no money whatsoever and then he proceeded to tell her “well the show is gonna pay us money so I’ll have money” and then last but not least that I can remember from everything I heard, they got to the altar she said no and walked away before she could even hear what he was going to say so she doesn’t know what his answer would have been but she knew after all of that she wasn’t gonna marry him. Oh and she had a weapon in her car before the show and during for her safety since she was a female living alone prior and they told her that they didn’t want it near him cause they were worried what he would do and so she had to get rid of it and basically her safety imo atp. She felt pushed to continue when she was really uncomfortable
She is married now to someone not part of the show and it was someone she went on a couple dates with prior to the show but it wasn’t going anywhere and so they stopped talking completely but they reconnected after the show cause he kept reaching out to her and so they tried again and I guess it just worked that time around and they got married.
That’s the jist but I’m sure I’m forgetting little things she said about their relationship in and out of the pods and she’s apparently in the background of some scenes in Mexico on tv if you look hard enough so I plan to go back and rewatch to find that

Yes! The girl who filed the lawsuit was completely removed from the show even the pod scenes. Renee was shown in the pods just not her whole story, even though she did make it to the altar!
just on the reunion episode at the start. i just knew stacy/izzy wouldn't go on. he was gutted and he sounds disappointed. i bet it's cause stacy couldn't get over money thing

I think Stacy was pulling off sort of a "cool girl" act and Izzy was totally eating it up. But at the end of the day I don't think she wanted to get married. I don't really think she could expect to get a husband who's both unreasonable rich by birth like her, and is also waiting for her at home every night to rub her feet and run her a bubble bath. I think she fit herself into this perfect girl role hoping that she'd get some perfect guy back, but that's just not how it works. So she was resentful for all the work she put in and Izzy's baseline mediocrity-- not that handsome, not that considerate, not that smart, not that nice. And you can see exactly how shocked Izzy is when Stacy goes from the tolerant cool girl who doesn't make demands, always supports and praises him, caters to his needs and ego, to an annoyed exhausted woman venting her frustration.
I actually watched the first episode and it's a bunch of entitled people who go all Lord of the Flies when they have to sleep outside. It's both aggravating and hilarious but that might be just me since I'm a man of the woods.
lol yeah they were a bitttt dramatic in the first episode when I watched 😭😂 I think it’s Taylor? who drives me nuts with her anger/whining cause she thought she “had this in the bag” lol which usually means you don’t in those situations 😅 but I feel like it has the possibility to get better as the episodes go on! Edited to reflect observations I missed before writing my initial post: OK so I just watched S5 finally. OMG S5 is the WORST season so far...I know I'm a little behind, I'll be watching S6 soon, but wow, S5 is beyond awful. I couldn't stand Stacy, she absolutely was the mean girl, but pretended to be nice. But Stacy and Izzy weren't a good match at all. She was too much of a spoiled princess and it was clear she wanted someone who could spoil her, period. Izzy seemed like he was a good guy at first, but after rewatching some parts and watching the reunion episode, yeah it's pretty clear I should have paid closer attention to certain things...that was my mistake and probably why fast forwarding so much wasn't helpful. After the reunion episode, yikes. Watching the play backs of certain moments, plus watching Izzy still not have any self awareness was cringe AF. I think the show played it so we'd feel bad for Izzy...I see now how the show tried to manipulate his behavior to make you think he was being treated badly, but it's obvious he was an ass really fron the beginning. I personally think he was looking for a woman who could take care of him, & it's really clear he learned absolutely nothing from doing the show. But yes, Stacy was awful. I cringed every time I watched her scenes too. As for Johnie & Chris....I didn't actually think Johnie was as problematic as Stacy painted her. Stacy was just jealous. Like, in the pods you date multiple people and it's not hard to imagine telling multiple people that they are falling in love with each other because it's such an intense heightened experience. They need to date with so much more intensity than out in the real world bec. they only get a few short weeks, so yeah, emotions will happen for more than one person sometimes. I think that ultimately Johnie realized she messed up and tried with Chris again....I actually don't think she saw him as "second best"...she got worried that playing it safe wasn't the right choice initially, and decided to play into old habits with Izzy. So, yeah, she made a mistake, and even though it didn't work out in the end, at least she tried. But yeah, I think Johnie was fine, I mean, we didn't see enough of her to really get a full picture of her and Chris, but like she could have reamed into Stacy and Izzy and gotten all crazy, but she kept her cool way more than Stacy and Izzy did. So, yeah, I thought Johnie was fine. That whole Uche thing and Milton and Lydia, I honestly thought Uche was a douche. Period. I'm happy that Aaliyah dumped his ass...I'd heard they did try to date post-show, but yeah, he was a douche. But that brings me to Milton and Lydia. Personally, I felt he was too young for her and I think that he wasn't sensitive enough for her. I think she is all heart and she is judged for her passionate emotions. I think they cared for each other, but yeah, I didn't like them together at all in the end. I'm shocked they got married and are still together. And honestly, JP and Taylor....oh boy, JP was a douche too, and even worse in the reunion episode. I actually think Taylor is the only participant on S5 I loved. She was so real and sweet and she got screwed over. I felt like what JP did to her was awful and I'm glad she ended it when she did. She deserved so much better. Overall, I just think that the S5 couples were boring, ZERO chemistry, and putting two people on who'd dated before was absolutely idiotic. I get they were trying to do the "tension" thing, but it backfired & Aaliyah got the crap end of that stick because she never got an organic chance to find love. I actually liked her too, so her and Taylor were great. Ugghh, I just can't with S5, it's just so bad. Hoping S6 is better.
I just finished binge watching (and fast forwarding/watching on 2x the normal speed lol) S5 too, and I completely agree with everything you said — except for the parts about Izzy. Out of all the male contestants from all the previous seasons, Izzy was *thee most dramatic and immature*, period. He had his head so far up his own a** and I think if he were a woman, people would be talking way more crap about him. I haven’t read the rest of these threads but just going off of your top comment, I feel that you are giving Izzy a huge and unfair pass on his douchey behavior. I don’t think I’ve ever hated a contestant more. In fact, the only contestants I may have hated more than him is probably just Stacy and Amber. And don’t try to blame his crappy behavior on the alcohol either - he knew exactly what he was doing and saying to Johnie. More often than not, people like to blame the alcohol for their bad behavior, when really they’re just shitty people even without the alcohol.

I feel like I came in too hot lol, so I appreciate your response. Thanks for being kind and civil, and for editing your post. I watched everything except for the last few episodes (I’m guilty of fast forwarding from there because of the lack of and boring couples, so I missed a bunch of the last few details concerning Stacy’s antics) Taylor was the sweetest one from S5. I loved how she handled herself in every situation. She was unproblematic (I hate that very “basic” word, but for lack of a better term) and even when she would be frustrated with JP, I really loved how she would still come back after stepping away for a bit and try to talk things through with JP. Because she’s a pretty girl (similar to Micah being the pretty girl of S4 - though I’d say Taylor is more attractive and ofc way more mentally mature than Micah) I thought maybe she would be a mean girl too, but I was pleasantly surprised at how kind and mature she was. Goodness I hated JP, Izzy and Stacy so much. They are the worst types of people. To be fair to JP though, he does seem to hold a lot of trauma from his upbringing, so I hope he can get therapy for his own sake and for his future relationships. I’m sorry to hear S6 isn’t going all that great either lol. I’m about to binge watch it too. May the best individuals/couples win, whatever winning means for them.

I hated everyone except for Milton and Taylor. But I especially hated Stacy and JP. Stacy is just a cruel person mean girls kinda vibe and I hate that shit. And I still can't get over JP trash talking Taylor's appearance when he looks like a knee compared to her and his whole wardrobe is 'murica. The nerve. Every man had the emotional intelligence of a paper napkin and talked over women except for Milton.

I don’t think he is shy. I think he didn’t exactly love what he saw when she walked out and that made him reserved. Maybe shock? maybe realizing he was engaged to someone he wasn’t attracted to (kind of defeats the whole purpose of the show). They also cut in parts of him getting along amazingly with the guys in the pods, and with the other couples on the beach. I think Taylor definitely tried her best to get him to open up. Continuously starting conversation just to receive a 1 or 2 word reply back. I can imagine that was exhausting and probably gut wrenching because she knew what it stemmed from, and that hurts. She continuously begged him to try and go back to how they were in the pods, and i think he couldn’t look past her appearance unfortunately. I was really rooting for them in the pods and thought they made a cute couple but here we are.

I’m on EP 5, my thoughts so far… Utche he seems like a narcissist because he’s manipulative and is judgmental of Aaliyah but then drops a bomb on her and is upset with her reaction. I also think she was super in the right to feel the way she did because she built a friendship with Lydia but Lydia was manipulative from day one when she didn’t tell her about her past and pretended to be a friend to her just to get in her head. Aaliyah felt betrayed by Uche for judging her for her past that he said was recent despite being 2 years ago but then he had hooked up with Lydia only 3 months prior and didn’t disclose that. And he was not understanding at all about how she was processing it even though she had high stakes since she was in love with him and then thought she had a friend in Lydia. Aaliyah deserves way better.

I watched this season with my wife (well, we just stopped after the BBQ, not over yet), but I think it's terrible. I actually quite enjoyed season 4, but people here are just mean. Lydia to me is a huge manipulative stalker, one of the worst person in this season. If you watch the introduction with Uche, she's not surprised, and she almost instantly asks if it's fate and they should get back together. Then she keeps talkin about Uche to Aalliah, about how well she knows him, she bought gifts for his dogs, she knows her friends, his favorite color, the car he drives... Then at the BBQ, we see she is a stalker, multiple people asking who is the person who keeps watching their stories, yet she tells everyone Uche complains because apparently she watched his stories, but that's not what he said, so she is a liar as well (and she clearly understood what Uche said, because she talked about how she watched these people's stories because of Instagram's algorithm). As soon as I saw the episode when they met in the pod I told my wife she's manipulative, and it proved me right. Uche might be pretentious and full of himself, but I don't really get the hate. Yes he called Aaliah, but it's understandable, he was going to propose, then she left, clearly something is wrong and he has no idea what happened, anyone would be like him in that situation \^\^ (he was out of the line at the BBQ though when talking to other girls) And Stacy is a horrible person, materialistic, manipulative, spoiled. She was so mean to Izzy. Who by the way was so rude to Johnie it was so uncomfortable to watch, it was uncalled for. Anyway, I'll see how it goes, but it's been quite disappointing compared to last season (I haven't watched any before).
Uche takes a level up in horrible later in the season. The first couple of episodes you think he's being a bit of a dick but maybe he's not getting the benefit of the doubt that he should, but later on he's absolutely a horrible terrible disgusting dude to a lot of different people.
Yeah, he acted like an asshole later on. But still, he was not the worst imo ^^

Johnie's interview on the Out of the Pods' podcast is really interesting. (I've liked Johnie from the beginning so nothing really shocked me, but it's still very interesting, especially about the Izzy-Stacy story)
Can you sum it up? Don’t plan to listen to the podcast but very interested 😅😂
Okay, to sum it up: 1) The producers basically apparentyl "choose" a "perfect match" for you, and Johnie thought it was Izzy and then realized it was Chris, hence the backpedalling. 2) She recognizes what another YouTuber has said (I think it's Indie Nile ?), that what most people take as infatuation is actually most likely anxiety, like goosebumps or "butterflies" in your stomach, those are mostly your nervous system acting out, recognizing something familiar and not good, but a) movies and tv shows show it as love so we're used to think it's love, and Izzy said "all the right things" so she was convinced he was the right one, and Natalie and Deepti said that it is what's frustrating about the pods, people can talk and talk and pretend to be anyone. 3) Izzy fished for infos, and dumped her as soon as he realized she wasn't blonde, because he likes blondes, which he apparently said to Carter. That's why she said "Izzy dumped me for superficial reasons", and also that's why she said "He's not gonna be happy with Stacy", because he probs liked that she was blonde, but maybe didn't connect with her on an emotional level like they did.
Also 4) She says Stacy used infos she said about Izzy to get him, and when Johnnie commented on it, Stacy confronted her and the show just edited it to make her say "you're shady" (or something like that) when she was actually owning up to what happened. 5) She was very affected by the way they approached her at the barbecue, she felt like it was way to harsh, and expected Stacy to do a fake apology in the reunion. (Thinking back on it made her cry in the podcast) 6) When they were at the barbecue she was in a good place with Chris, she knew the producers were going to make them talk with Izzy and Stacy, she wanted to be cordial - and then Stacy and Izzy insulted her. Both Deepti and Natalie were confused and called Izzy a red flag, because he accused her of having multiple number ones, and seemed to not be over not being the only one she was into and was turned on by Stacy's rant. Then someone pointed out Stacy and him were talking to Chris, so after a tumultuous start she was worried and came over there. 7) She thinks Izzy went so hard on her because he wasn't over everything but also to make Stacy comfortable. She thought they werent doing well if they needed to do that and indeed that same night S. and I. fought. 8) Natalie and Deepti are confused as why Izzy would kiss at a bar someone he said was sketchy and he hated. J. said she was going out with another contestant and found out the male cast was having a party, so she tried to avoid him, he asked to talk with her. They cleared some stuff up (again, Izzy was asking if she had multiple number ones or was it just him). The conversation went well, but she said she didn't trust him right now and didn't want to sleep with him. Then they decided to hang out for a while. She said her self estime was very low after Chris ghosted and cheated on her. Then Izzy another night asked to drive her home, and after that they got into a huge fight where he - again - called her a piece of shit - she needed time since he was recently engaged to Stacy while he wanted to forget about everything and start over. 9) Apparently Izzy had another girl at the bachelor party (which they didn't air because they had to cut out couples), Milton said to her Izzy wasn't good so she went to Izzy and said "I've heard you're not trustworthy so I need time", Milton got mad at her for talking about something he felt was confidential. 10) Deepti and Natalie say Izzy seems to act from a place of hurt, even though it's not okay. Johnnie agrees and commands him for at least apologizing. 11) They kept in contact and he went to her for advice, but at some point she withdrew a bit since she started going out with her current boyfriend, just out of respect, but they were cordial. So it came as a bit of a shock that he still said she was sketchy at the reunion. 12) Stacy didn't talk to Izzy for a year and started to get close again when the show was about to air. 13) Johnnie explains a bit more the Chris thing, he said he was very stressed about the show coming out and losing weight, Johnnie still felt bad she put him "second", and then someone helped her figure out he was cheating (her neighbor, who saw Chris on Insta and recognized him at the pool with another girl - which is very funny cause what were the odds?) So she confronted Chris via text, he said to her she was amazing and he still saw a future with her but he was lost because of the anxiety of the show so she ended it. (Deepti and Natalie were NOT fans of his 😂) Johnnie said the other reason she didn't choose Chris was because she felt he wasn't all in, and apparently the edit didn't show it but he said "I love you" to another girl in the pods. 14) She forgave him because she's now in a good relationship and also she was very nervous about the reunion because of Stacy and Izzy, and Chris said he got her and she wasn't alone. That's what the whispering was about cause she felt guilty about outting Chris as a cheater and he asked her if she was okay, and also she understood quickly that Stacy wasn't gonna apologize so she tuned out because she was over it and didn't need to hear again why Stacy thought she was a bad person. She admitted it was a bit petty but she knew what Stacy was gonna say and was tired of that whole thing. Also if you turn the subtitles off, you can apparently see the conversation btw Chris and Johnnie. 15) Apparently Izzy is gonna be on Perfect March season 2, that's maybe why they tried to rehabilitate his image, and cut a lot of things. 16) Johnnie seems to be very happy with her current boyfriend, Alex who she now lives with. They met on a dating app, and apparently he was also almost cast for LIB, and works at NASA. She said their relation is very healthy and that the show didn't change his opinion of her, they're very secure and she was thinking of him the entire reunion to remain calm. She adds that she's an introvert and he doesn't drain her social battery which is good. 17) Jonnie said she wouldnt do a reality show anymore, she's happy in her life and she just hopes the show gets her a plateform to talk about dating people with addiction and stop the stigma around it so people wouldnt feel alone.
Wanted to add, I have no idea what Stacey is talking about when she tried on the first wedding gown. “Boring”??? And then when she’s getting her hair done for the wedding she’s like “I want my hair simple because my dress is not.” And we’ve already seen that the dress is fairly simple.. I’m just not following her logic lol
I just wanted to say… “love has no credit score.” Should be on a t-shirt or hat or something lmaooo

Stacy has really strong mean girl vibes. At the party she called Johnnie a piece of shit to her face at least twice for no apparent reason.
I don’t agree with the “no apparent reason.” Stacey gave the reason: Johnie had talked major smack about Stacey and her engagement to Izzy unprovoked.
Anyone on here know why Chris cheated on Johnie? Also, what kind of lawyer is Johnie? I would not want her to represent me if she can be so swayed by peoples eloquent, convincing words vs factual evidence.

I hated this season so much I had to fast forward a few episodes. I even passed to check how many damn episodes the were because this was brutal. I disliked nearly everyone who made a connection. Not sure if it's the editing, but the lack of self awareness and pettiness was exhausting to watch. I'm all for fun entertainment, but this season makes me really reconsider watching the next. Whomever in charge of casting needs to really get their shit together. And ffs the makeup. For the love of all that is holy.
It feels like so many connections were forced. Maybe there weren’t real life connections and the producers were just backstage trying to influence ppl to sell their souls for the sake of the show. Like a real life version of UnReal. I truly believe that’s exactly how reality shows are produced. Edit to add: I just seen a preview for the rest of the season at the end of episode 4. Clearly nobody has real feelings for the people they ended up engaged to. Looks like a lot of drama is ready to unfold and it’s stupid how people seem to be choosing to marry their *second choice* for the sake of… finding true love orrrr staying on the show in hopes they’ll be able to make a real connection with their first choice out in the real world 🤔
I always think it's crazy when they try to switch gears to their 2nd choice 😂. It's super awkward to watch. Everyone just wants airtime and exposure. People think they can brand themselves but half the time they ain't worth shit.
Ugh. What about the make up from season 3??!! It was so freaking bad. It was sooo caked on...
I think I blocked it out tbh lol. Some of it's pretty painful to watch. I don't understand why no one tells these women how ridiculous they look.
I’d love for them to have makeup artists do their makeup vs the ladies do it themselves but also feel like maybe that might diminish an aspect of the show. What I don’t understand is how you know so much about money and have money yet do your makeup that poorly? (I’m not a makeup artist nor not that talented at doing my own makeup. I’m just a person with an opinion.)

I agree that the level of makeup is sort of indicative of their personality. For example, Stacy's sisters looked beautiful imho vs her having the craziest foundation/bronzer combo. But even when she was getting wedding makeup done I thought it was heavy handed. The eyeshadow was unattractive and I thought the lip colour clashed. But maybe that's what she wanted and if I were the MUA sometimes you just give into a clients demand.
I kept wondering if her sisters tried to tell her about her brows or if they just don’t say anything. Stacy’s are so blocky and dark and her sisters’ looked much more harmonious.
The worst season. Drama is great, but for this show to work we also need at least a few relatable genuine people to root for, the heart! Like to go from watching the finale of last season twice because the weddings of Brett/Tiff and Zach/Bliss were so beautiful, to fast forwarding the last few episodes of this season — disappointing!

I had no idea why people were hating on JP at first. He seemed so sweet. Then he was reeeaalllyy quiet. Then the first thing he actually talks about is Taylor wearing makeup and how he prefers her without makeup, says it’s not a bad thing and essentially makes it his hill to die on. Suddenly it all made sense.
Dude was just straight up weird. I don't care if you're super patriotic, but anytime your entire wardrobe is red white and blue, or that of your favorite NFL, NBA team... you've got some serious issues. I though she did a pretty good job navigating this curve ball of a person... hey I'm personable in the pods ... guess what I don't talk at all in person...

I think Lydia and Milton are the only people on this season that I like at all. Everyone else can kick rocks.
Lydia and Milton were given a sweetheart edit and *still* came off terrible. One of the girls in the pods is friends with Miltons girlfriend who he strung along while he disappeared to do the show is talking. The pod girl is Myra and she got to the day before the proposals but was completely deleted off the show. She says the show has been aggressively sending her Cease and Desists just for putting out a TikTok saying she's friends with Miltons jilted ex. The show is working over time to protect Lydia and Milton because they're horrible people. Mayra just gave an interview to RealTEA Check Podcast talking about God, her experience and abit on how production is trying to shut her up. The show hosts also said they've heard something similar from other cast specifically about how your two faves are being protected by production. They desperately need them to be likeable but they're not.
Why aren't we hearing this from the jilted ex? Are we sure this isn't just someone who wasn't in the show trying to get some media buzz? I didn't actually like Lydia and Milton and didn't even realize they were getting the "good" edit because Lydia seemed like 55% insane and Milton seemed crazy immature. But sometime the podcast and the alleged tea are so tenuously justified.

I think she is a typical person with aspirations of high wealth and the lifestyle that comes with it. But I would seek out a man with more wealth since it clearly matters to her. This is a very common thing in relationships. Women often want the man to earn more.
I don’t get it. She was barely in the season. Johnie and Chris were so rude talking while Stacy was talking. Also, he was apologizing after he ghosted her. The whole thing was just immature.
I agree with you completely but it wasn’t the wealth aspect. Stacy was basically abusive to Izzy at every turn. She talked down to him and degraded him so many times. If a guy behaved the way she did to a woman we would have had a fit!
Um, Izzy and Stacy are gross and immature. He wouldn’t even let Johnie get a word in and he clearly went into the conversation trying to vilify her. Johnie is a catch and I’m so glad she ended up with someone as sweet as Chris.

Yes 100% got that vibe about him. I don’t even get what his appeal was in the pods. He also has a lot of unhealed trauma from his childhood that he needs therapy for. If someone asks about your childhood and you just immediately start crying there’s a lot going on there

I agree, I love Taylor. She exudes class and is genuine, smart, funny and beautiful. I can see how she’d be judged by her appearance (I also don’t love the overdone look most women on this show seem to default to but I firmly believe that we should wear whatever amount of makeup we feel like, whenever we feel like it), but that doesn’t mean she deserves to be. She is a mega catch and will find someone great.

I think all the women on season 5 are whacked. Taylor constantly staring at him… she was making it awkward. Illyana or whatever was red flags all the way. Who gives a shit what he did 3 months ago, none of her business. And Lydia remember in the pod with Izzy she said “how will you feel seeing me get engaged…” her desperation was repulsive. Jonnie…scary. Stacy? So off the wall, little she says makes sense. Just because you fake laugh after every thing you say does not make you funny. This show makes me feel I have it all together!

Basically her and Carter went through the whole process made it to the Altar and everything but because of his threats and a lot of stuff happening on camera they called her in June a couple months before the show was aired and told her they were not gonna be shown because of it and didn’t want her to have to relive some of the scenes she went through but it sounds like they were covering their butts. Carter was aggressive with production over wanting a water bottle for dipping and got violent when someone from production wouldn’t give up her water bottle, when they got to Mexico and got their phones back, his wasn’t working cause the phone bill hadn’t been paid and he asked Milton to pay his phone bill for him. He got mad at someone in the airport and started yelling and stuff cause they asked him to wear a mask and he refused completely. He didn’t even have a job at all when casted and Renee still chose to try things with him cause he promised to look for a job when they got back from Mexico but when they got back from Mexico she started to learn the truth, he had -$500 in his bank account and absolutely no money, when they moved into the apartment together she felt unsafe and asked several times to back out and production kept urging her to give him a chance and she would leave for work and come home to him wasted at the apartment and food and trash everywhere and he was sleeping all hours of the day and going out at nights to party. She talked with him about it and he got one job interview but nothing ever came from it and then one night he went out and met a girl somewhere and brought her back to their apartment like it was HIS apartment and was showing her around the pool area but didn’t know Stacey and Izzy were up there filming a scene and so they were asking him who that was and then I think production told him the girl had to go and then Renee had a conversation with him about it and let him know she knew to which he then called her some really messed up names and called her a THOT and basically was saying how she thought she was all of that cause of her body and was degrading her completely and said he was a man with needs and she wasn’t meeting those needs and apparently they went to dinner one time together on the show outside of the production dinners they had to shoot and he dined and dashed and told her he paid but didn’t pay for their dinner…also they said if their story wasn’t shown they would still get married off camera and take a trip somewhere but Renee didn’t understand where all of that was coming from when she learned he had literally no money whatsoever and then he proceeded to tell her “well the show is gonna pay us money so I’ll have money” and then last but not least that I can remember from everything I heard, they got to the altar she said no and walked away before she could even hear what he was going to say so she doesn’t know what his answer would have been but she knew after all of that she wasn’t gonna marry him. Oh and she had a weapon in her car before the show and during for her safety since she was a female living alone prior and they told her that they didn’t want it near him cause they were worried what he would do and so she had to get rid of it and basically her safety imo atp. She felt pushed to continue when she was really uncomfortable She is married now to someone not part of the show and it was someone she went on a couple dates with prior to the show but it wasn’t going anywhere and so they stopped talking completely but they reconnected after the show cause he kept reaching out to her and so they tried again and I guess it just worked that time around and they got married. That’s the jist but I’m sure I’m forgetting little things she said about their relationship in and out of the pods and she’s apparently in the background of some scenes in Mexico on tv if you look hard enough so I plan to go back and rewatch to find that She also confirmed what the other girl said happened to her was true (the one who is suing Kinetic)
Okay. THAT would be worth watching. Aside from her fear of him, tho-obvi.

Yes! The girl who filed the lawsuit was completely removed from the show even the pod scenes. Renee was shown in the pods just not her whole story, even though she did make it to the altar!

just on the reunion episode at the start. i just knew stacy/izzy wouldn't go on. he was gutted and he sounds disappointed. i bet it's cause stacy couldn't get over money thing OMG LYDIA'S DRESS. i forking love it.
I think Stacy was pulling off sort of a "cool girl" act and Izzy was totally eating it up. But at the end of the day I don't think she wanted to get married. I don't really think she could expect to get a husband who's both unreasonable rich by birth like her, and is also waiting for her at home every night to rub her feet and run her a bubble bath. I think she fit herself into this perfect girl role hoping that she'd get some perfect guy back, but that's just not how it works. So she was resentful for all the work she put in and Izzy's baseline mediocrity-- not that handsome, not that considerate, not that smart, not that nice. And you can see exactly how shocked Izzy is when Stacy goes from the tolerant cool girl who doesn't make demands, always supports and praises him, caters to his needs and ego, to an annoyed exhausted woman venting her frustration.

I actually watched the first episode and it's a bunch of entitled people who go all Lord of the Flies when they have to sleep outside. It's both aggravating and hilarious but that might be just me since I'm a man of the woods.
lol yeah they were a bitttt dramatic in the first episode when I watched 😭😂 I think it’s Taylor? who drives me nuts with her anger/whining cause she thought she “had this in the bag” lol which usually means you don’t in those situations 😅 but I feel like it has the possibility to get better as the episodes go on!
