They 100% know about it and are told to act shocked.

MamaMagic18

Is this an assumption based on the obvious or have you learned about the logistics of it from an islander interview or something? I agree that they must someone know or AT LEAST have more of a feeling than the show presents.

ellie-zia

They know it's coming, they just don't know when exactly. I think the shock has more to do with how it's done rather than it actually being done.

Proud_Fee_1542

I agree, I think the shock is more of a ‘oh shit, we’re actually at Casa’ kind of thing. Similar to how the islanders are all shocked when they arrive on day 1, it’s more the surreal-ness of it!

Flashy_Scene_7157

watch the first s8 casa amor episode, when the girls came down to say goodbye it was obvious the whole villa knew where they were headed.

MamaMagic18

I’ll rewatch!

LemonQueenThree

The Ne-yo one would've taken me tf out to be fair

uhhh1dk

the s10 one when ne-yo took them out was defo a surprise even i didn’t see coming 😭😭 don’t think that casa announcement will ever be topped

StoreWinter4524

S9 Samie said in their season the girls had to run to Casa in the morning in their towels and explained how it was filmed mutiple times for the right shots. The show is heavily scripted in general especially when it comes to reactions to anything they let them do things again if they don't act excited/suprised enough. Islanders always talk about how they speculate when what happens, obviously this is not aired. They obviously aren't dumb and it has been seasons of this show.

MamaMagic18

I forgot about that one. That was actually a believable surprise, along with Ne-yo. What is the documentary everyone talks about that gives the behind the scenes info?

StoreWinter4524

There is no documentary (or atleast i don't know it) it's just interviews from islanders, Podcasts, Q&As they do on their social medias etc. All of them do it every season.

justathrowawaym8y

It's called acting 😂 They know roughly when Casa is, they know it's coming. It's like the fake conversations they have right before getting a text, they're told they will be getting a text and are told to act shocked and caught off guard.

MamaMagic18

See I didn’t know that the pre-text conversations are also fake. I know that so much of it is staged/scripted by producers but have never listened to podcasts or things explaining just how much. Thanks!

hollow_ling12

Honestly I don’t think anything can top “ne-yo stole our girls bro ! !”

robolger

they're not surprised

ThatLeval

It's not always Casa. Sometimes it's just 1 bombshell or just a day out However sometimes they do say "Casa" just before it's announced. So they're aware of the process and can spot the signs
