Someone's not drinking enough water

Environmental_War222

The weird thing is… I only drink water and I’m constantly drinking it.

the-lone-squid

Electrolytes

_thats_what_she_____

it’s what plants crave.

Fancy-Distribution60

Brawndo, the thirst mutilator! It goes on the plants because it’s got electrolytes and shit…

ghost24jm

Add more salt to your diet, helps retain water

WidowMaker42O

I think you are confusing dehydration and heat exhaustion.

ghost24jm

I'm not lol I'm a Marine we do this all the time because we're sweating so much

NoLingonberry1582

Drinking water will not save you from heat exhaustion by itself if the humidity is such that the sweat will not evaporate off your body it's not going to do you any good to drink more water so you can keep on sweating that'll just keep you from getting dehydrated it won't keep you from getting overheated. Physics bitch

TheKingessofSpain

Fr who thinks drinking water alone saves you from heat exhaustion

ghost24jm

Literally everyone in the military and veterans because it's true lol as long as you've eaten, you're hydrated and you have enough salt in your body. You'll be fine. I've spent 3 days trapped inside a AAV when it was about 115 outside and probably 130 or hotter inside with all my gear on (boots, pants, flak, helmet ect) while being cramped in with like 21 other people. If I were to ever suffer from heat exhaustion it would've been then. And I didn't because I was drinking water and eating/ making sure I had enough salt in me

NoLingonberry1582

It's not the heat that kills you is the humidity sweat cools your body via evaporation allowing you to shed excess heat to your environment, if the humidity is above a certain point the sweat will not evaporate and will only make you wet you can still die from overheating if The humidity is high no matter how much water you drink

ugemeistro

As an advice from somebody who works in the lot, try doing 20 minutes on the lot and then 10 minutes in the store drinking some water from a couple of 16 ounce bottles. It also helps make the day go faster in a better chance of keeping cool. Good luck to you

101°F is equivalent to 38°C, which is 311K. --- ^(I'm a bot that converts temperature between two units humans can understand, then convert it to Kelvin for bots and physicists to understand)

I felt like I was freezing like full body shakes after they brought me inside I’m not sure for how long.

Fancy-Distribution60

Last year I was getting hella heat rashes working oslg! It was terrible… so I could only imagine how terrible that must have been! Dude, Lowes ain’t worth that! I know they ain’t paying enough to make that a viable potential side affect of your work. Plus u should listen to that overhead page that plays constantly about taking frequent breaks in the shade! I’m all about that one lately!!!

[deleted]

Pedialyte packets. They sell them in the baby section at any grocery store. Just make sure you’re getting your electrolytes and resting when you feel yourself getting overheated. Heat exhaustion leads to heat stroke which is no fun.

AmbassadorCapable419

Thats not good and should NEVER happen. Shame on Lowes. Even if you drink a lot of water, no one is there to break you if you need a potty break.
