Getting to hug my father again who passed in 2015. Woke up crying.

Solid-Economy861

My sister's friend used lucid dreaming to deal with losing her Father. She could talk with him and such. Truly amazing.

Iantrigue

I’ve met him a few times in dreams since he passed and most were lovely but some felt confusing and angry. When I do lucid dream I can’t really control the actions of others so it can feel frustrating

SlickMitch92

One of my grandma’s past away 10 years ago, and a few years ago I had a dream that she happened to be in. I remember hugging her. I remember the moment very vividly, I was crying in her arms and she asked me what was wrong.. I said “I just miss you so much”. Shortly after I actually woke up completely ugly crying in my bed.

low5bro

Getting to talk to my father who after a long hospital stay was on a ventilator (pre covid). I woke up crying wishing I had spent more time in my dream hearing his voice.

Lionsdontlikeporn

Same for me! Whenever I can I look for my Mum who passed in Jan 2021.

_Naropa_

There have been many beautiful experiences. I’m on a cruise ship with my co-workers. The boat we’re on is sinking. Off in the distance, I see a tornado forming. The sheer size and color of it was incredible! I become lucid (it was this huge pink and grey, powerful tornado that basically shook me into lucidity). Knowing I was lucid dreaming, I flew up and towards the tornado. I entered into it attempting to merge with the tornado itself, but I couldn’t seem to do so. It wasn’t until I found *the center* of the tornado, (that peaceful core of stillness where it wasn’t moving)… that I could merge with it and the tornado vanished.

elizabethtarot

Wow this is so coolll

candidconnector

Your dreamscape sounds a lot like my usual! Very cool.

Lovewolves4ever

Oh god I would panic I hate dream tornadoes XD

DreadMirror

Maybe not the most "beautiful" but the most impactful. It was a lucid dream. I was exploring a weird labirynth with no floor. In one of the rooms I've noticed a crack in the wall and light was coming from the other side. It was big enough for me to squeeze through, so I did. The moment I entered that space, my ability to fly was immediately taken away from me. I dropped down onto my knees. The light was everywhere around me. I didn't see anything else, just light. And then I felt someone's presence. It was neither a man nor woman but I knew it was much bigger than me. Its height was twice as mine. It was slowly walking towards me. And then it crouched and embraced me in a hug. It wouldn't be anything special if not for one thing. That hug... was so unbelievably overwhelming that I immediately gave up on life. I mean that literally. That single hug from that entity was so overpowering that I decided I don't ever want to wake up. I made that decision on the spot. It was the most pure emotion of "belonging" I ever felt in my life. I woke up seconds later. I never had another dream like this. And I'm also not religious.

LadyDreamcatcher

I just responded above, but wow I have to relive here too. That feeling of the hug from the presence, that was overwhelming and overpowering, but in a good way. That’s what I felt too. From the presence of the whatever it was. Not a man, not a woman, but a presence of something so all encompassing. And the sene of belonging, it took away all fear of death. That’s the one who gave me the choice whether to return or stay. Has this imagery returned to you since? Have you thought about it since? I’ve thought about it a lot, but have never felt that same presence since that dream, though I’ve sought it. Sorry if it sounds silly or out there. Like I mentioned before, I hadn’t really entertained the idea of past lives before, but that was a dream that clearly defined things for me. I’d love to hear the thoughts of others.

DreadMirror

Sadly, it was a one time event for me. I never had a similar dream since then and I'm thinking about it on and off for years. One time I was dreaming about being in a state of sleep paralysis and I saw a silhouette of light, standing in the doorway and observing me. It didn't do anything. It just stood there and looked at me. It was somewhat similar to that other dream but not nearly as intense or meaningful. I'm honestly not sure what to think of it. I'm a skeptic by nature so I tend to reject the "supernatural". It was probably just my subconscious doing something bizarre. What I don't understand however is why is this so rare. I'm genuinely craving for more of it, but my mind is not giving it to me. So... idk.

camelry42

Both of these had me in tears from the beauty of them. Please forgive me being vague, these were deeply personal. 1. Meeting my wife, a year before I actually met her. 2. Seeing my beloved (deceased) grandparents reunited, and sweet was their joy.

lamahopper

>Knowing I was lucid dreaming, I flew up and towards the tornado. I entered into it attempting to merge with the tornado itself, but I couldn’t seem to do so. Hold up. You met your wife before you met her? Was it actually her, like the same face or similar? Was meeting her in real life different to the time in the dream?

camelry42

It wasn’t precognitive, if that’s what you’re after. It was a weird “in the clouds” dream, and not a voice but a sense as though there were a voice told me, “this is your wife…” (the rest of the monologue I’ll keep private). And it was her except with dyed reddish brownish hair, which now that I think of it is something she does. And I was filled with remarkable joy! That is, until I woke up shortly afterward and I was alone again. At that time she lived in the US east and I lived in the US desert southwest, maybe I just dreamed of a type that the woman who would become my wife just coincidentally happened to fit.

[deleted]

Wow both dreams awesome but I want to talk about first one. As far as I know, I'm muslim but not that religious, Deja vu is when we are sleeping, our soul come out of our body and goes to see another dimensions, worlds. When we are awake and experience something in real life that happens exactly in our dreams, step by step, and we name it deja vu.

[deleted]

I was just sitting next to my imaginary girlfriend outside talking about our love while watching the city life goes on

[deleted]

Or maybe you had a parallel life (I mean it in present tense) and wasn't imaginery :)

[deleted]

You maybe right. I only see this girlfriend in my dreams not real life. I wish my parallel self married her because I believe she is the one :)

[deleted]

As I noted it is real life too, just not here. We are multidimensional. If you drop the "dream" label. But maybe she is a guide for you. Life will tell if you have more meetings with "her". Unfortunately, we tend to define real when we are at a certain place, like this physical reality. This is why most people can't really get past the "it is just a dream" stage in their thinking but all the useful stuff is out there. The difficulty is to find the right source and test it personally.

Lily_Roza

I was with a small group of people, there were about 5 others. We were all fugitives, from a vicious and unjust regime. The vast majority of people, too, were full of crime and violence and ill-will. We had to keep moving, we could trust no one. We traveled by night, through the forests and wilderness and least traveled roads, hiding and trying to stay away from any people. We were hungry, and terrified. We walked thousands of miles across a continent. We were wretched and suffering. We tried to encourage one another, but, one by one, my companions fell by the wayside, until I was the only one left. I had a destination, I had to be at a designated meeting place on the coast by a certain date and time, where I hoped to be rescued. I barely made it, arriving after midnight, with a few hours to spare. I was waiting for a boat that would arrive at sunrise. I wondered if it would really come. I waited in some trees near a rocky outcropping. Then, as the first rays of morning sun rose over the water on a perfect day, a beautiful clipper ship sailed out of the sun, right towards me. The brilliant white sails were billowing with a gentle breeze, and there were banners and streamers. I was welcomed aboard with great rejoicing as we set sail, and pulled away from the rocks. It was the Ship of Saints, and I was at last safe, and was valued and protected, on this beautiful ship with these beautiful kind people on this beautiful day. I wish i could express the incredible joy as i dropped all my defenses, included in so much love and acceptance. Of all the saints, I was the least, but it mattered not at all. I was so grateful to be there. We were as One as we sailed into the shining sun.

Loopy13

beautiful thats a good metaphor for life

coby----

I had a dream when I was very young that changed me. I saw my own personal Samsara. I saw each version, form or body my soul took on. I saw the past and the future. I saw myself being reincarnated hundreds if not thousands of times. I was on a circuit moving with every other version of me. A voice said to me 'you are one' and I always assumed that was God. My entire body felt tingly like when a limb goes asleep. It was insane. The most beautiful visuals I've ever experienced, truly other-worldly

noteuropeanlol

bro what if that wasn't a dream

Tricklash

What did you see in the future? Now I'm curious.

coby----

Well, I didn't see THE future, I saw MY potential futures. It was just a dream, I don't believe I'm clairvoyant. But I did see myself living until old age. I saw my future children. I've always believed in the myth that you get a dose of dmt when you're born, and when you die. I think my dream was a burst of it explaining my samsara for some reason. Well...... I did ask for it. I kinda like, prayed to God asking them to show me my purpose. So I had a dream that showed me ALL of my purposes I could ever have. Crazy shit 😂

Spirited_Work_4115

Petting and playing with my childhood cat :)

Lovewolves4ever

Oh gosh I do that with my dog who past last year it was amazing she feels so reel and always wags her tail at me it’s always a mixture of happy/sad when I’m lucid.sad cause she’s not really there irl but she’s been there all of my life, but happy because she’s there and I get to she her again.

Junior_Immanuel

It was the first dream i can remember. I was maybe 5/6 years old. I seemed to be sitting in a chair in a very nice house. Behind me was a circular window and outside I saw a yacht waiting on the water. I got the feeling it was mine. I looked in front of me and there stood a beautiful woman. She seemed to have asked me if she could use my yacht. I said “no” and I remember she looked upset. She was so beautiful to me and I knew she was my daughter. I turned around to look out the window and my Yacht was gone. When I looked back, so was she. I knew she took it out anyway. I woke up feeling a purity of love I could have never described at that age. Till this day I can still imagine her. Standing in front of me. Yet as beautiful as she was, I can only see her face in a state of sad disappointment from me telling her “no”. A dream I can never forget.

Well_howdidwegethere

First time I took galantamine I had a dream (not lucid sadly) that my younger brother had become insanely famous for music or something. The dream started when him and I were in the back of a private plane and I was making a joke about him being “Too fancy for us peasants” and seriously, out of god damn nowhere, I had this urge to jump out of the back of the plane. So I open the back of the plane and I’m hesitant at first, we were above Italy and I had no clue why or how to speak Italian and no idea where to go when I landed. I get a burst of courage though and just jump, this is where it gets beautiful I promise. I was soaring over these buildings that were absolutely bathed in sunlight, I didn’t have a parachute nor was I flying, it was like my arms were acting like a pseudo-wing suit, and I just hear Rocket Man all around me (I sleep with a specific playlist to help with lucid dreaming) as I was soaring miles above these rooftops. The best part? I didn’t even have to find my way out because I woke up right before landing.

Shivvykins

I was famous, but I was still me. I was invited to appear on the Muppet Show. As the special guest, I had to play Animal's drum solo in the opening song, and I was BRILLIANT 😁 Then I was interviewed by Kermit and I got so emotional I started crying. I know it doesn't sound poignant, but I usually have nightmares about the world ending, or losing my daughter, so this simple dream about meeting a childhood hero made me so happy. Edit: oh man, I've just read everyone else's and now I feel silly.

AbeVin09

Had a dream a few nights ago where I went into a portal that took me to Ooo (The place from Adventure Time) and I went to Beast Burger (Yes there is one there) and ordered the burger with fries on it. I noticed I forgot money so I went to Finn and Jakes tree house to ask them for money. They gave me $40 in $20 bills and I went back to Beast Burger. It costed $22 and I gave the guy there the money. He was giving me $18 in $1 bills and I was just standing there for a while while he gave me each individual $1 bill. I can’t remember the rest. It was truly beautiful. /j

misterlongschlong

I was one with everything. And I learned that I was one with everything and dead was an illusion. Since then I am not dying of anymore

JohnnyLeven

A lucid dream I had in the past year or so where I drove a motorcycle off a ramp over a cliff into a huge valley. There was a massive 100+ story tree in the middle of the valley with a huge waterfall on the right of the valley with a rainbow that capped it off. The valley was lush with many rivers and trees. I jumped off the bike and flew around toward the tree and woke up.

Squeaky-Fox43

Probably the one where I invented a new season where all the foliage turned random, crazy colors.

Yourfavanarchist

When will the devs release it?

billjames1685

Talked to my grandfather again a week after he died

Significant-Top2807

I was walking at a sidewalk next to a beachside. it was a long, and wide sidewalk so there were a ton of animals. It looked practically like a jungle. There was a large giraffe, an elephant, and monkeys. Shortly after though, a monkey came up to me and started jerking off.

dreamshinobi

The most beautiful dream, i think it was my first dream i ever recorded so i was at an old building and i was with 2 girls i don't know them but they were like manifestation of true friendship we were just exploring around the place and cracking jokes, laughing and enjoying then suddenly we decided to go on a lift and if was an old lift with all the manual technology were used there so we go into the lift and suddenly we were hanging from a mountain and the lift began to move in a Circle and there was that Little gap from where one can easily fall, and we were afraid that will fall and die but then we looked at one another smiled and hold hands and said that we're ready even for death if we all are togather and then we fell and then teleported to a room with people shooting us and saying it's a prank you're going to be on YouTube 😂

Western_Stable_6013

Met my Grandfather who past away when I was 12. Best part of it: he had a long fingernail on his little finger. A detail I had forgotten for a long time.

AlwaysAHighThai

I (36F) dreamt of my ex-husband and our favorite memory together. He was my college sweetheart and we’re divorced. Miss him terribly and this dream helped cope with the loss of a life we didn’t get to have. His parents had a large old house with porch with a swing, we would talk, and laugh for hours sitting out there all through our dating years. In this dream we were catching up like old friends, swinging in the fall time. The air was crisp and you could smell everything wonderful from that time; leaves, apple pie scentsy warmer his mom used, warm rolls out of the oven. All of of the southern memories overload. We were telling each other jokes, laughing so hard like old times, then we were eating Marie Calendar’s Coconut Cream Pie like his Nana would have at Sunday dinners. We ate that whole damn pie together. Then I stop the swing, stand up and turn to him and say well it’s time for me to go. He says yeah I know, I say to him. I miss you so much, but that that it had been a really good day and he agreed. I awoke that morning tears burning my cheeks, and looking for my love. So glad that I can LD to still experience the happiness sometimes.

silly_willy82

Typical flying dream. Flew through the trees, stretched my arms and they were now colorful wings and I was flying over the jungle.

[deleted]

Probably dreaming my father who I never met, died when I was three. I am still trying to figure out how dreams work because I never saw any videos of him, only a few pictures that my mother had. The brain is incredible. I only dreamed of him twice. Well is kinda weird explaining it, one was a lucid dream and the other was a dream but more like a memory of when I was a baby, and dreamed about the house we lived on. I can't believe those memories are still in my brain.

Dentoning

Over 40 years ago, I was diagnosed with cancer and given a 15% chance of living another two years. About 2 weeks after the diagnosis, I was asleep and "woke up" to a knock at the door. There were many people in my house, but they didn't seem to see me as I went to open the door. When I opened the door, my grandfather who had died 5 years before was standing there. I had an immediate sense of calm and love. We didn't speak but just communicated. He wanted me to go with him and I wanted to for a minute or so and then realized that my family would be crushed. I told him that I couldn't, which made him sad, but he seemed to know that it was the right decision. We told each other that we loved each other and he turned and walked away. I woke up the next morning and I remembered everything from the night before in great detail. I could also feel his presence and could even smell him. I didn't want the feeling to go away, but as the days went by, it began to fade. I remember not feeling odd about it. It seemed natural.

TruLyzSighxw

The one I had last night Last night was my first Lucid dream that didnt end in 10 seconds, so I was able to actually look and see everything. It was so beautiful, everything had this light flouresent tint to it, the sun was so bright too, almost like it kinda reflected of the grass and other plants. I opened my first portal too, it was a rick and morty portal lol but when I went theough it I was on this very small rocky island in the middle of the ocean, the sky was a greyish color and the wayer was a deep blue but the sun was peaking through. It was amazing, but I think it was so amazing and beautiful to me because it was my first lucid dream where I could actually take it all in.

Yourfavanarchist

I had this beautiful dream, an endless beautiful galaxy; I wandered it for millennia. There were massive nebulas beyond comprehension, and blackholes that looked like windows to another realm. Massive stars and icy comets. Woke up feeling refreshed, only to realize I was in math class. :/

Chronos2016

LadyDreamcatcher

That I was in a beautiful in-between space, between one life and another. Mind you, I had never seriously thought about reincarnation before. The sky was dark, almost purple, filled with stars that were close up to the bit of land that I was on, a small dimly lit island. A creator asked me if I was ready to come back to the stars, or if I wanted more time (until I’m 46) to pursue my life’s passion of finding the love of my life. I chose to stay and look for him. I got a glimpse of what he looks like, though I didn’t know him then.

sparkling_onion

Many beautiful ones, hard to choose (earth from outer space/ancient civilization port), but most impactful: lucid dreaming meditation in a simple room, eyes closed, feeling how a river was flowing through me.

Ok_Recording1443

I awoke in heaven and I was completely lucid. There were entire cities floating on top of clouds and the sky above us was a mix of beautiful colours. I walked around talking to people and they were all very friendly and wise. The scenery was stunning. The people were gorgeous. Everyone was happy. There was no sickness or poverty. No hate or crime. Just love and wisdom. When I awoke and realized it wasn’t real I almost cried I was so sad.

noteuropeanlol

i know i've had one before, but i forgot it.

Sam6ix0

Had a dream a plane crash landed on top of me and group of other people and I climbed out of the pile only to realize I actually got killed. Then I saw my grandma who recently passed, she asked what I was doing here (in heaven I’m assuming) and I told her that I died She asked for my cousins who she raised along with myself and I told her they were alive still and living She hugged me, grabbed my hand and we just walked away together to what seemed to be the most peaceful moment I’ve ever experienced Then woke up

Lifeabroad86

All of my non lucid dreams I don't feel any sensations, even in my lucid dreams I don't feel anything unless I concentrate on it. There was this woman I was in love with but it never worked out. She was on my mind all the time and I always looked forward to dreaming about her. One day, I decided to move on and told myself to stop dreaming about her. So my last dream about her, she's at the airport with her friends, getting ready for a flight and I'm there to pretty say my final good byes. She gives me a final kiss and I felt the kiss this time. It meant a lot to me because I would consider this a non lucid dream. It blew me away for a few days, and pretty much my last dream about her. I hope she's doing well where ever she is.

Spending time with my pet bird who passed in 2020 and who was my best friend.

kriisso

Me and the guy I liked being close and hugging. I know it’s basic but gosh do I miss it. When we actually hugged it was all I could think of

Thisisnow1984

I had one recently where I was on a tropical island and we were staying in a hotel right on the beach. We were there to see a unique phenomenon called "infinity mirror" where the sun rises and creates this double sunrise effect over the ocean water. We had to wake up at like 5am and walk from our hotel room on the sand over to the beach with all the other guests. It was so warm and it really just felt like I was in some sort of heaven paradise.

hooman_bean920

Skateboarding through a beautiful Scandinavian road. Maybe inspired from "Secret life of Walter mitty". This is now in my bucket list.

Poetry-Designer

I’ve had a few, quite a few indeed

IDespiseTheLetterG

The ones in which my love comes and squeezes me tight. Feel so sad when I wake.

PM_Me_A_High-Five

I had a dream that I was surrounded by a bunch of wild animals that were just kind of hanging out and letting me pet them. Bears, wolves, squirrels, etc. My brother wanted to take a picture of me as beast master or something and it seemed like a cool idea, but I just laid on the ground on my side, relaxing style, with all my new animal friends.

3gnome

Had a dream I was in an attic room of a 3 story house, alone. Walked through a doorway to enter the room with the stairs to go down to the second story and there was a figure dancing slowly by the stairs, not blocking my way. It was completely golden & not man or woman, just gold and slowly dancing or doing t’ai chi. Its figure was in the light and it had a really positive energy. Then I looked behind it in the shadows and saw that it had a much larger body like a giant worm thing. As if the front body was just to relate to me. Very interesting dream.

KokoaKhalessi

I was in a hot air balloon with my ex boyfriend, flying over a lake at night. The background was an open field and city buildings were further back. The balloon caught fire and we jumped down into the water to swim to shore. I dragged him because he can't swim. I could see the reflection of the Balloon in the water. When got back to land I turned and looked up at it falling slowly and burning. Then I heard, "Muffled cries and lullabies. The burning wings of butterflies". It was a very pretty site. Very vivid. Felt like watching a Greek tragedy.

willdagreat1

It's a toss up between the dream that inspired my book, Frankenstein but as a Noir Detective story set in he Prohibition South, or the one where I was a sport sword fighter on a floating Venusian colony.

[deleted]

i have dreamed that i had a gf, we didnt do anything crazy but just spend time together then i was realy sad after waking up.🥲

Henrique1315

i met a figure which was a so much beautiful woman that i dont have words to explain, and i went to her and felt pure love
