I have a 7.5 Jagras Edge and almost hit timer on a 7* Kulu. Am I missing something or some secret to high DPS with it?

Kulu sucks depending on rock uptime. Sns does its best work when you have huge openings to land falling bashes, but Kulu moves around too much. Overall, sns is much weaker than other weapons, but has some really solid match ups. It's also great for breaking parts because of its ability to apply concentrated damage (no wide swings), damage variance (charged leaping slash vs regular combo) and access to two damage types.

Do you hit the head and use the right build in terms of skills

Also using a Jagras Edge at 7.4... It reliably wins 7* Kulu, beats 8* most of the time but can get screwed depending on RNG and special usage. But yeah you should be able to win those since it's a grade higher. I do nothing fancy, but I do have to disable lock-on during the 8 star when he has the rock, that's the only way I am able to beat the 8 star, and build up special gauge. Been stubborn and won't upgrade that weapon until I build a brand new water weapon at this point 😂

I went Jagras until about 8.2 or 8.4, but jyra is just better so with the addition of the monster tracker I stopped Jagras and went jyra. However I still stuck with anja/tobi/legiana SnS.
