You know what I’m actually going to hand this one to my gramps he’s in his late 60s and every day rides about 40ish miles on his road bike. He doesn’t pull punches either he is a very lean good looking old man for his age he’s so fit he enjoys a small bowl of ice cream to this day to make sure he is eating enough calories
Y'all really think that dude is retired? Likely 50-55 year old based on his late 80s early 90s hip hop dancing. I'm mid 40s and used to dance like that in middle school. Could be wrong though
A sizable percentage of the people on Reddit are puppies born in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. 40 seems ancient to them. They don’t realize how fast it’s gonna go.
I recently brought my 77 year old friend to a New Years Eve deadmau5 show at a club and he had the best time dancing his ass off. Stuff like this gives me hope for getting older; Mortality is a bitch but you can always make the most of it and dance :)
One of the things I love about EDM when we watch festivals is the wide range of ages. I'm the same age as you and if I didn't have some physical issues that make being in a crowd a problem I'd be trying to see Carl Cox or Artbat or Indira Paganotto.
Honestly I’m 38 and it’s harder to hit both the concert/festival and the after party in the same night these days. I still do it, but I get tired af towards the morning. So I’ll give you that. Still, I would urge to get back out there just ever so often. Dancing makes us feel so alive.
Just turned 38 and went to am EDM festival on Halloween. Still fun but honestly I thought that even though the DJ's were new they were doing the same shit they were doing a decade ago.
Nothing replaces hearing the bass through 100k watt subwoofers.
That's the crux of the biscuit. I'm early GenX, but grew up in the early punk and hiphop scenes- unlike my dad who had Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, and the Ink Spots. The cultural generation break is most-profound between Boomer & GenX. He was not prepared for Schoolly D, Dayglo Abortions, and Skinny Puppy.
In your head, you're always young, until you ain't.
Man I feel this.
My parents grew up with southern rock and the rolling stones/aerosmith etc etc, for me it was Nine Inch Nails, Metallica, Deftones, Marilyn Manson(not in a long while) and a bunch of other louder stuff. I'm in my mid 40's now and still love all that plus a ton of new stuff, I just have no idea how they were sooo stuck in their lane when so much amazing music came out. I could barely get them into grunge either and everyone loved that shit...
I always say the Boomers never gave GenX the keys to the house or the car and they are still trying to run things with one foot in the grave.
I'd love to know the song that was actually playing during those sick moves. I also like the two girls in the background who notice him at the end. They seem quite impressed, as they should be
What is Love wasn’t a bad choice, but I agree that it doesn’t quite look right and it was probably added to the video over whatever was actually playing.
I started out thinking he could easily be a hard earned late 40s in unflattering lighting.
But judging by the lady he starts the video dancing with, I'm starting to think he's a fortunate 60ish.
I was thinking that too. This is literally just a genXer dancing to music from our generation. I mean he COULD be a grandfather, but I wouldn't consider him elderly. He just allowed his hair to be it's natural color so he looks kind of older.
I often think about people with insane contemporary dance skills when they get older. Like breakdancers are now all in their late 50s, early 60s. Can they still bust a move, like the spin on head thing? I’m 54 and I still try the worm and shit when I’m pissed (for shits and giggs), but I just don’t have the flexibility anymore.
Was a clip of one of the “someplace has talent” of a lady in her 80s if I recall. Her dancing partner was much younger and she was lifted, spun, tossed to the extreme. Can’t find it but I thought they would need an ambulance. She just smiled and was barely breathing hard.
Simon was amazed as were the other judges.
I bet he danced a lot in the disco era growing up. His moves are so natural you can see that his muscles know exactly what to do without much thought. That’s the kinda skill that only comes with hours of practice.
He reminds me of my grandpa, every event that involved dancing he never leaves the dance floor. Me and all the women including his wife and daughters take turns seeing who will eventually wear him out, we always lose. He will dance through 15 songs straight!

Okay I am insanely jealous of his moves. look at how smooth he is!
The dance of a guy that finally got his kids out of the house
I finally got my kids out of the house, but my moves are not as smooth... perhaps a few more years out
[удалено]
I LOVE him.
Very fit for his age
Most fit 60 yo I ever met was an Uber driver who said proudly that he danced just about every night. I had no idea
I'm jealous of his knees
I'm jealous of every joint in his body.
My body is going no no no, my brain is going GO Rock It! Lol
This man has been training for this moment ever since dance dance revolution came out on the Wii.
Still jerking it at that age
Now that he's retired, every day he's shufflin'.
Y'all really think that dude is retired? Likely 50-55 year old based on his late 80s early 90s hip hop dancing. I'm mid 40s and used to dance like that in middle school. Could be wrong though
Anyone that happy is retired
he seems too young for a grampa
Lauren Boebert enters the chat.
Everyone else flees from the chat
Not really

I saw some “New Jack Swing” in those steps, I concur with your time assessment.
Def in his 60’s. Just obviously very active dude has mooooooves!
That's .... hip hop dancing? I'd have expected something electronic
Shufflin shufflin every day I’m shufflin
I recently brought my 77 year old friend to a New Years Eve deadmau5 show at a club and he had the best time dancing his ass off. Stuff like this gives me hope for getting older; Mortality is a bitch but you can always make the most of it and dance :)
That's awesome. I'm only 53 but I very happily attend EDM festivals with my daughters and dance all day. I do get some weird looks but idc.
One of the things I love about EDM when we watch festivals is the wide range of ages. I'm the same age as you and if I didn't have some physical issues that make being in a crowd a problem I'd be trying to see Carl Cox or Artbat or Indira Paganotto.
Omg ID LOVE TO DO THAT
I highly recommend it. Club goers and ravers were getting such a kick out of him and were dancing with him. he made so many people smile.
I was a club gal when I was young in Miami in the late 80s. 😃 57 now
Do you still go out and party?
No not anymore. Way too tired 😂
Honestly I’m 38 and it’s harder to hit both the concert/festival and the after party in the same night these days. I still do it, but I get tired af towards the morning. So I’ll give you that. Still, I would urge to get back out there just ever so often. Dancing makes us feel so alive.
Dancing was super fun I miss it.

Aunt Jan is 83 and on her second relationship with a man she met while out dancing (first one died)
Aunt Jan sounds awesome.
Unless your my grandparents. They think dancing will get you sent to hell.
Would love to die young to avoid shitty life quality at a later age but if 70 looks like that? Fine to live a bit longer then
That's absolutely brilliant for someone his age, he's showing everyone how it should be done. Those moves are amazing.

I thought they did give you the keys to the house...and then said good luck see you later
Meaning the country, political power. Most of the old fucks are snow birds and just air bnb that ish till they pop back in the warmer months...
The song he is dancing to came out in 93, the numbers check out.
He's not pulling out the moves for grandma
*He’s not pulling out of grandma.
She better step it up
From dad to daddy in seconds.
His wife is thinking Here he goes again
His wife loves him deeply. Ymmv.
Yall acting like he’s got one foot in the grave. He’s old but not THAT old.
lotta teens on reddit it seems
I thought the same… I think this means we’re old 👴🏻
I'd love to know the song that was actually playing during those sick moves. I also like the two girls in the background who notice him at the end. They seem quite impressed, as they should be
the one girls got some good hip movement happening.
haddaway..what is love?
I mean, it could be the same as what was put on top of the video, but the video cuts
What is Love wasn’t a bad choice, but I agree that it doesn’t quite look right and it was probably added to the video over whatever was actually playing.
It absolutely was; the quality is too high, and the song is continuous while the video cuts to different angles.
Wow how did I miss the cut?!? 😄
The girls in the background 😂
They were so impressed 😂 dropped their jaw.
I feel like this is just an older looking 46 yr old
Looks early 50’s to me, people here think that is ancient apparently.
Lol this is not grandpa level. This guy is in his 50's.
You can definitely be a Granpa in your 50s lol
That’s exactly what I was going to say! This guy is probably 45.
I started out thinking he could easily be a hard earned late 40s in unflattering lighting. But judging by the lady he starts the video dancing with, I'm starting to think he's a fortunate 60ish.
....That's his mom....
I'm 46. This guy is older than me. Probably not by 14 years.
Eh, looks older than that to me, probably in his 50s, early 60s at most.
I was thinking that too. This is literally just a genXer dancing to music from our generation. I mean he COULD be a grandfather, but I wouldn't consider him elderly. He just allowed his hair to be it's natural color so he looks kind of older.
You're only as old as you feel. This is proof!
I often think about people with insane contemporary dance skills when they get older. Like breakdancers are now all in their late 50s, early 60s. Geriatric rizz
He knows a geriatrick or two 😉
Ayeee 👉😏👉
Goddamn this made me laugh more than it should've.
The woman sees it building up lol. She’s like ok, he’s about to do the thing again, just keep dancing like normal
He reminds me of my grandpa, every event that involved dancing he never leaves the dance floor. Me and all the women including his wife and daughters take turns seeing who will eventually wear him out, we always lose. He will dance through 15 songs straight!
Awesome
Gramps has known some serious podiums in his day.
80s style. Bet he was a break dancer spinning on the floor back in the day
mdma is kickin
One lucky granny!!
He’s got moves
It actually did make me smile
If you want to know the importance of dancing check out the two young girls in the back. I can't dance, btw.
Possibly an old ' Northern Soul ' dancer or '90's Raver ' They we're styling it decades ago.
that’s an athlete
Someone spent the 70s on Wigan Pier. Northern Soul forever.
He is the reason your grandma use walking stick to walk around.
After that, someone is gonna break a hip one way or another.
Old but still lit
Hes being doing this your lifetime pal dont question him
Strong hips, long life!!
You? Me? Me? You?
I took one of my grandsons vitamins, I feel great! Let’s dance! Do you want some water? Let’s trade backrubs!
Gramps ruining it for all the other guys on the dance floor . As soon as I get my hips done I’m copying those moves…
Plenty of Northern Soul discos in his youth by the look of it!
Y'all wish you could shuffle -Gramps
Oh right ! He is shufflin
Dude was definitely hitting up Northern Soul clubs in his younger years.
Studio 54 misses this guy
Northern Soul vibes.
It’s funny because all the seniors nowadays grew up with dance music, and Discos.
This needs to be an add for Viagra.
He provably to 10 pain meds after that
Ledge
If his wife wasn’t there I’m almost certain he would have picked up one those girls.
Omg I love him!!
You know he jackhammers the puzz
Somebody was sore the next morning

Grandpa still in his 20s😉
Reminds me of my moves in 3rd grade…lots of cross jumping
Shout out to r/aves
Slick moves. Easy dance to learn too, if one wanted too. Been around for a long time that shuffle dance.
The Spin.
It’s all fun and games till the pants fall down!
He is good!
I did not expect to open Reddit and see an old man doin a Crip Walker this morning
It ain’t over till it’s over.
I think I saw him dancing on a speaker in about 1983, wearing his capezios.
Girl in the back is just shaking her butt, till her friend. Grabs her and points to the older man dancing. Then try’s to do the same lolz
Well, well look who got a new hip!
The girls near the end lol
Even the band members were like - L👀k this motherfucker
Me at 58 grinning away knowing how come my man is jamming so hard on the dance floor is also the same reason his wife loves him *hard*.
My guy lookin like a bboy out there
Andy Bernard is that you...
He is supper good dancer ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|slightly_smiling)
6 flags guy still has it
He might look like a grandpa, but people with so much drive and energy within them don't really age.
One of these days when I'm his age I'll bust a move in the mean time I'm a big chicken.
GET DOWN YA
Legend
Midwestern mfs when you bring potato salad and coleslaw to the party
I keep replaying.... to watch the brunette in the jeans on the left.
Gramps was a raver back in the 90s
Gramp?? That’s a young whipper-snap
The guy behind him doing the "I never dance" awkward shuffle while old man is soul trainin to the year 3000 🤣
[how it started. ](https://www.reddit.com/r/therewasanattempt/s/OiEG7Dj3li) Gramps showing us how it's going.
Those new metal hips are oiled and loose.
Ah yes, he’s reached the ripe ol age of “no fucks given” slick moves
Hell yeah
Not his first time. He’s awesome!!
Ugh, I am almost as old as 'gramp' now.
Quick get this man in a Cialis commercial.
Dude got moves! Good for him.
Still dancing to the song as he did when it first came out :)
Good luck for your guys cause grandpa comes with his girl,or he’s gonna get your
Wish I can move like that at his age
Probably trying to get some “intercourse” later!
Go gramps !!!!!!
Lol, the two ladies at left finally saw dude dancing.
Definite raver in the 90’s 🕺
he is prematurely gray
Dancing is contagious. I like the two girls on the left . One points out homies mad skills and she totally starts to vibe off them moves.
You see this with older guys in the UK, the ones that were onto Northern Soul back in the day and they can *dance*
Xennial retirement home
He could have 500K followers on TikTok with those shuffle moves.
Those girls on the left checking him out
I will never be that cool
His girl has a nice wiggle going too.
100% how I feel I look dancing after 8-10 beers. Wow, so fkn smooth
Dancing is healing!
Does anyone know the name of his moves?
Pops didnt miss a beat!
I want to be him someday.
I watched 5 times and can keep going for hours.
Hilarious 😍
He has the exact same dance as Tom Hiddleston
Grandpas good, but I can’t stop laughing at the drunk blonde in the back
Yeah...this guy fucks.
I wish I could be this carefree
He's not an ambiturner
Y'all better pray you can still move like that at his age.
I was listening to Mike Jones still trippin while watching this and I gotta say, it synced up well..
