Either that or yell like hurt prey and get immediately treated like hurt prey.
Prey doesn't boop your nose. Friends boop your nose.
(Because their noses are very dense in sensory neurons, so getting booped is a major shock to alarm cubs to the fact that they're getting too aggressive with their kin)
Yelping would only work if you're bigger and stronger than the kitty.
You are not
Yep just like that grizzly bear guy. Treadwell?
He thinks he is "following their rules" and that protects him... but just like every other animal, the lions arent always gonna follow the rules.
I mean even if he really did have a special bond and "got" the rules, I think the real problem is that in human society, you tend to survive screwing up the rules once. When your society is bears and lions, you die on the first misdemeanor.
It also helps actually raising these types of animals. I bet if he goes anywhere else and interacts with a lion the same way he's dead. Trust is key with these lions and anyone new they will be super defensive no matter your body language or if you think you can mimic the sounds they make.
Moral of the story..... Don't try this
He did not breed them as he got a moral compass. All animals in his Hakuna Mipaka are rescued in one way or another. Most of his lions for example are reacues from the trophy hunting industry (people that breed lions for rich people to hunt). He had them since they were little cubs though
Why do i have that feeling that i don't like this guy? Am i jealous because he is living the kids dream? Or is it the fact that with his videos it seems like lions are cute cats? Or maybe i don't like people in general who like it too much to get filmed and seek for attention. I think it's a mix of everything
Without sound, I swear I thought this was an AI video at first-- the camera angles, lighting, and movement of the lions looked a little "off"/artificial.
But nope, this is actually just a dude chilling with lions.

See a man sitting with lions, I immediately glance at what subreddit its from. Gotta be prepared when it comes to lions.
I wouldn’t do that to folks! lol
What other lion subs are you subscribed to? Asking for a friend, that I don't know
r/abruptchaos would have been the "danger" one lol
Nsfl is *THE* mega danger sub
I believe it, but that one ain't in my feed lol
Did he seriously hit a lion in the face toward the end of the video?
Right?! Like step aside Cesar Millan, there's a freaking lion whisperer.

Yes he does that when they play rough with him, he says it makes them respect boundaries.
Bruh, how do I buy puts on this guy?
This is the kind of video that makes people get out of their car in safari parks.
If anything this should tell you not to. Because you don’t know how to communicate with them.
"Now dammit, Sharon, don't give me that shit. I saw a video once of a guy doing it on YouTube. Now hold my beer while I go lick this lion."
Ngl, got me in the first half.🤣
Absolutely incredible
no one talks about the lion holding camera
I have a feeling I know how this man is going to die.
Hyenas. I felt that too.
Would it even matter at that point?
Jajajajaja you got me

I had mad anxiety watching this whole thing

Showed this to my coworker, he immediately said "oh I know him, he bred those lions. Context necessary. *DONT TRY THIS AT (ANYWHERE)*
He did not breed them as he got a moral compass. All animals in his Hakuna Mipaka are rescued in one way or another. Most of his lions for example are reacues from the trophy hunting industry (people that breed lions for rich people to hunt). He had them since they were little cubs though
After reading the title, for a second, I got scared that someone was being sarcastic on natureismetal sub.
"He died doing what he loved."
He is not dead!!!
Yet.

Right? I thought that the whole time. The lions could be all like, "*we know him, but we don't know you.*"
Do you not know by now that the Cameraman is invisible and The cameraman never dies? 🙂
Blair Witch Project?
Ah yes, this scene is from the movie "How to train your lion"
The zebra carcasses didn't really make me smile, even though it's natural

I wonder what it's like to have a small amygdala

Kinda like natural horsemanship.
no one talks about the lion holding camera
this is so interesting
Mind blown.
