You should tell this to Jordan Peele who bought the rights of Monkey Man from Netflix to screen it in theatre just because he believed this film deserves to be experienced that way. Some movies are made for the big screen. That's a fact.
Yeah. I felt it was underwhelming. That film was supposed to be experienced in a theatre as in a roller coaster ride. An immersive watching would've got me hooked to it a lot more than it did while I watched on my phone.

Gess just in your friends circle. Movie didn't do well in theatres. That is why it is available in OTT now. Even Varshangalkku Sesham cannot be called overrated because of the mixed reviews.
If a movie like Aadu/Lucifer is bad you can call it overrated
It was an experiment. Some people liked it..some people didn't. Also for the final time after watching a movie in OTT don't compare it to the experience of people who watched it in the theatre. It's ok if u don't like it, but why on Earth are you trying to impose your opinion on people who spent their time and money to watch it how it's meant to be watched.
Theatril this was good. I enjoyed the first half but felt 2nd half was average.
After ott the movie felt a bit flat. So I think this was a theatre watch.
Yes I have the same question and no I'm not ott guy and I watched it in theaters. People were praising it to the moon. This is a very forgetful movie , watch and forget kind. It had some style and music and that's it. Also a similar thing is happening now with Varshangalku shesham and NP. Insane praise and I feel like an alien when I didn't feel anything watching NP in VS.
Watched it from the theatre after hearing all the praises, except good cinematography and decent performance from chemban nothing else worked for me. The story was all over the place and maybe as set pieces the actions were good but as a whole it didn't keep me engaged.
The movie had good bgm which helped in its theatre experience but other than that the movie is a mess both screenplay pov and editing pov.

Just like many movies releasing these days. Before "OTT aayonda" accusations, let me make it clear I watched both Romancham and Aavesham in theatres during the first week. While Romancham was a snoozefest, Aavesham was slightly better. I find the wafer thin story line and lack of detailing in these movies severely affect my experience. Like say, in Aavesham, there's no reason for Rangan to give special attention to the kids. But he goes and does over-the-top things for them as if to impress them. Then that rival/mentor of Rangan getting angry at Rangan and goes for killing him because Rangan stole his identity. Just because Rangan took his identity, why should the mentor drop it? He can say Rangan is the duplicate and he's the original. There are so many such little things that affects the viewing experience. Only Fafa's blazing hot performance saved the movie.

As i said earlier we are too privileged to even understand
It's fuckin AMAZING
I.... don't think it was lol. It was kind of a mixed reaction when it came out.
