Wow, Chuang Yi manga! You don't see that every day. For myself, probably Battle Angel Alita, if you add all 3 series together, it's at about 38 volumes, I think. If you want single standalone series, it would probably by Blade of the immortal at 31 volumes

For me would be Berserk. I have the whole set of individual volumes. 41 volumes

Nice! I was debating if I should get deluxes or individuals. I decided to go with the individuals cause I like the cover arts and I don't like holding a big book while reading.

Angel Sanctuary, 20 volumes. I usually avoid the really long series, so nothing else is near that length.

Probably Haikyuu. Been collecting that stuff for a couple years.

Of the series that I have completed or plan to complete, D.Gray-man edges out Fullmetal Alchemist by 1 volume, though I am short a single volume of DGM right now. I don't have alot of space for many of the bigger series so I'm mostly collecting some old favorites.

My 5 longest series by main series volumes (I also have some spin-off but I ranked them by main serie volumes) are : 1. One piece with 107 volumes (+ 12 spin-off/novels) 2. Skip beat with 47 volumes 3. Berserk with 41 volumes 4. My Hero Academia with 38 volumes (+ 23 spin-off/extra series volumes) 5. Attack on titan with 34 volumes. I'm also in the process of buying Yona of the Dawn and already own 28 of the 41 volumes.

Pokémon Adventures, with all the box sets, all of BW, half of BW2 and 4/6 volumes of XY. And some of the mini volumes of course.

Jojolion, 27 volumes. If I had the original tankobon edition of Slam Dunk, that would take the first place, but it's 20 books now. Third place is Komi can't communicate with 19 volumes (or Steel ball run, if I had the 24 volumes edition). Fourth place is Chainsaw Man with 17 (or 20th century boys if I had the 22 volumes edition). Fifth place is Steel Ball Run, 16 volumes

Currently Attack on Titan, with 34 volumes

1st place: JJK at 19 volumes. 2nd place: Dragon Ball and One Piece at 18 volumes each. 3rd place: One Punch Man at 17 volumes.

I try to avoid collecting manga that have a lot of volumes. But I have: Zipang, ended with 43 volumes.  Followed by Yona of the Dawn, currently with 42 volumes. HunterxHunter with 37 volumes...

AOT, currently have 28 of 34 as well as the two No Regrets volumes and the two Lost Girls volumes. I don’t tend to collect long series, but couldn’t not grab AOT.

Golden Kamuy at 31, but it’s clearly going to be OPM in a couple of years when they stop redrawing all the old chapters and pump out some physicals lol

Technically Inuyasha since it was 56 volumes but I have them in the Vizbigs.  But if we're going by number of books on shelf and not by original volume count, then Yona of the Dawn, I'm caught up with all 40 currently out and have 41 preordered.  Hoping it ends soon because my god that's a lot of space lol.  As much as I love my physical volumes, in a lot of ways I wish I went digital for it instead.

I enjoyed it a lot. The books derived more from the game so if you’re fan of the game, you’ll enjoy it too.

No he’s not. The manga based off the game so there’s no characters from the anime. Some of them are based off the player characters from the game while there are also some original characters too.

Haha I agree the numbering in Viz’s Pokemon is also weird. If I hadn’t collect the chuang yi version earlier I would still collect it too.

Probably Dragon Ball because I have 18 volumes from my teens, the 14 3-in-1s though they aren't numbered other than the 3 contained volumes, two kanzenban from Japan, the 32 Full Colour volumes from Japan and 8 Full Colour volumes from the US. Also 41 volumes of Berserk.

Yona of the Dawn, with 40 volumes. Second would be MHA with a close 37 vols.

Vagabond, 37 single volumes. There'll never be a series in my collection with more volumes. Shaman King would be 35 volumes, but I got the omni volumes so... ;-) Next is Lone Wolf & Cub with 28 single volumes. Most of my series are a lot shorter though.

Go for box sets if you’re wanting to collection whole series immediately. Like promised never land, claymore, and others. Some box sets of course are only pieces of series but there’s a decent amount out there that are “completed series” box sets :)
