Wow, Chuang Yi manga! You don't see that every day.
For myself, probably Battle Angel Alita, if you add all 3 series together, it's at about 38 volumes, I think.
If you want single standalone series, it would probably by Blade of the immortal at 31 volumes
Nice! I was debating if I should get deluxes or individuals. I decided to go with the individuals cause I like the cover arts and I don't like holding a big book while reading.
Naruto @ 72, and One Piece w/ 105 volumes, but I’ve been into these series since the early 2000s, so I don’t mind the space required for some childhood favorites 😊. Btw, dope Chuyang Yi volumes of Pokemon! Did you import them or were you in Australia?
Definitely Naruto, a series which I'm fond for nostalgic reasons and that I still love:
* 72 volumes from the main series:
* 2 different Italian volume 1 variant:
* 1 French edition of volume 1 (a fond memory of a school trip to France):
* 1 Japanese edition of volume 1:
* 3 artbooks about the manga series;
* 1 artbook about the anime series;
* 7 guidebooks/fanbooks about the manga;
* 2 novels (" Naruto - The Legend of Gutsy Ninja", "Naruto - The Last")
* 1 volume of Naruto Gaiden ("Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring");
* 1 Italian variant of Boruto volume 1 (I don't care for collecting the series, I consider it a bonus volume of the main one).
Bleach. I have all main 74 volumes and the 3 novels (Can’t fair your own world) and Burn the witch (spin off)
Here’s hoping that the Hell arc soon continues.
Of the series that I have completed or plan to complete, D.Gray-man edges out Fullmetal Alchemist by 1 volume, though I am short a single volume of DGM right now. I don't have alot of space for many of the bigger series so I'm mostly collecting some old favorites.
My 5 longest series by main series volumes (I also have some spin-off but I ranked them by main serie volumes) are :
1. One piece with 107 volumes (+ 12 spin-off/novels)
2. Skip beat with 47 volumes
3. Berserk with 41 volumes
4. My Hero Academia with 38 volumes (+ 23 spin-off/extra series volumes)
5. Attack on titan with 34 volumes.
I'm also in the process of buying Yona of the Dawn and already own 28 of the 41 volumes.
Jojolion, 27 volumes. If I had the original tankobon edition of Slam Dunk, that would take the first place, but it's 20 books now.
Third place is Komi can't communicate with 19 volumes (or Steel ball run, if I had the 24 volumes edition).
Fourth place is Chainsaw Man with 17 (or 20th century boys if I had the 22 volumes edition).
Fifth place is Steel Ball Run, 16 volumes
Off the top of my head
One Piece - 105
Jojo - 60+
Berserk - 42
Yona of the Dawn - 40
My Hero Academia - 37
Hunter x Hunter - 37
Vagabond - 37
Black Clover - 35
OPM. I think the latest is 27 in English with 28 due to come out next month I believe.
Out of all the manga I buy, OPM takes the longest to be translated it's such a pain
Bleach since i got all 3 boxsets, followed with Haikyuu with all 45 volumes, and the third longs series i have is Hitman Reborn with 33 volumes and still looking for the missing 9
I try to avoid collecting manga that have a lot of volumes. But I have:
Zipang, ended with 43 volumes.
Followed by Yona of the Dawn, currently with 42 volumes.
HunterxHunter with 37 volumes...
AOT, currently have 28 of 34 as well as the two No Regrets volumes and the two Lost Girls volumes. I don’t tend to collect long series, but couldn’t not grab AOT.
Golden Kamuy at 31, but it’s clearly going to be OPM in a couple of years when they stop redrawing all the old chapters and pump out some physicals lol
Inuyasha (55, complete but I have the Viz Big version)
Haikyuu (45, complete)
Skip Beat (45, ongoing but I have the 3 in 1 versions)
Rin-ne (40, complete but I don't have them all yet)
Yona of the Dawn (40, ongoing)
Kekkaishi (35, complete)
Kuroko's Basketball (30, but 2 in 1 volumes)
Kaze Hikaru (30 released in English, 45 total. Viz release one volume a year :( )
Blue Exorcist (28, ongoing)
Tsubasa Chronicle (28 main series, a couple of spin offs too)
Natsume's Book of Friends (27, ongoing)
Snow White With the Red Hair (25, ongoing)
Pandora Hearts with 24 volumes (+ 3 light novels (1 JP) , 3 official guide books (JP) and 1 limited edition cover (JP))
Though Toilet Bound Hanako-kun will likely take over in a couple years. It’s currently at 19 volumes in English, and 21 in Japanese.
Haikyu with 45. I even said that when I started collecting I only wanted to collect one large-volume series. I guess Tokyo Ghoul and Re: if you combine the 2 is the next largest one I have.
Blade of the Immortal comics (131).
If we’re counting all formats together then it all be Oh My Goddess! with 186, Blade of the Immortal would be 2nd with 173.
Technically Inuyasha since it was 56 volumes but I have them in the Vizbigs. But if we're going by number of books on shelf and not by original volume count, then Yona of the Dawn, I'm caught up with all 40 currently out and have 41 preordered. Hoping it ends soon because my god that's a lot of space lol. As much as I love my physical volumes, in a lot of ways I wish I went digital for it instead.
Bleach but technically 20th Century Boys because I have all the perfect edition which if you count them as 2 volumes is 22 but bleach I have the first box set aka 21
Ginga Densetsu(aka Silver Fang), 141 volumes + 10 spin offs (+6 not localized yet)
18 in the original/Gin, 60 in the sequel(weed), 30 in weeds sequel(orion), 22 in orions sequel(the last wars), and 11 in last wars sequel(noah), plus 10 spin offs/prequels/side stories, two data books and one special release of the very first volume. Im still waiting for Noahs last six volumes to be released(its on hold due to publisher BS) and its sequel too(currently ongoing). Also Ive read all of them.

No he’s not. The manga based off the game so there’s no characters from the anime. Some of them are based off the player characters from the game while there are also some original characters too.
mine would be pokémon adventures, but since the viz numbering is weird, the highest-numbered series i own are
• kekkaishi (35)
• slam dunk, golden kamuy (31)
• kimi ni todoke (30)
Probably Dragon Ball because I have 18 volumes from my teens, the 14 3-in-1s though they aren't numbered other than the 3 contained volumes, two kanzenban from Japan, the 32 Full Colour volumes from Japan and 8 Full Colour volumes from the US. Also 41 volumes of Berserk.
Bleach definitely for me- I have Box set 1 and then from 55 - 74 as single volumes from when the series was going on + 3 CFYOW novels + 20th anniversary special volume 1
+ 1 burn the witch volume
Vagabond, 37 single volumes. There'll never be a series in my collection with more volumes.
Shaman King would be 35 volumes, but I got the omni volumes so... ;-) Next is Lone Wolf & Cub with 28 single volumes. Most of my series are a lot shorter though.
I’d say one piece probably I haven’t started collecting anything but all 4 box sets because fuck it I know they’ll be putting out a 5th box set probably soon for all of wano
I'd say Bungo stray dogs for me!
I haven't made it up to date but right now I have 17 volumes including light novels.
My collection is still quite small so that is most of my collection at the moment lol
Go for box sets if you’re wanting to collection whole series immediately. Like promised never land, claymore, and others. Some box sets of course are only pieces of series but there’s a decent amount out there that are “completed series” box sets :)
One piece, with a 108 volumes
Bleach. All 3 boxsets, 74 volumes. Next would be Inuyasha, 55 volumes.
Wow, Chuang Yi manga! You don't see that every day. For myself, probably Battle Angel Alita, if you add all 3 series together, it's at about 38 volumes, I think. If you want single standalone series, it would probably by Blade of the immortal at 31 volumes
For me would be Berserk. I have the whole set of individual volumes. 41 volumes
I got all the deluxes
Nice! I was debating if I should get deluxes or individuals. I decided to go with the individuals cause I like the cover arts and I don't like holding a big book while reading.
Ok. Fair.
I live in Australia, but I import them from Singapore before for some reason they stop mailing overseas.
Dope. I wanted to collect those once upon a time ago.
Definitely Naruto, a series which I'm fond for nostalgic reasons and that I still love: * 72 volumes from the main series: * 2 different Italian volume 1 variant: * 1 French edition of volume 1 (a fond memory of a school trip to France): * 1 Japanese edition of volume 1: * 3 artbooks about the manga series; * 1 artbook about the anime series; * 7 guidebooks/fanbooks about the manga; * 2 novels (" Naruto - The Legend of Gutsy Ninja", "Naruto - The Last") * 1 volume of Naruto Gaiden ("Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring"); * 1 Italian variant of Boruto volume 1 (I don't care for collecting the series, I consider it a bonus volume of the main one).

Bleach. I have all main 74 volumes and the 3 novels (Can’t fair your own world) and Burn the witch (spin off) Here’s hoping that the Hell arc soon continues.
Conan, 103
Angel Sanctuary, 20 volumes. I usually avoid the really long series, so nothing else is near that length.
Probably Haikyuu. Been collecting that stuff for a couple years.
Bleach: 3 box sets make 74 volumes, and the 20th anniversary vol 1 makes 75
Of the series that I have completed or plan to complete, D.Gray-man edges out Fullmetal Alchemist by 1 volume, though I am short a single volume of DGM right now. I don't have alot of space for many of the bigger series so I'm mostly collecting some old favorites.
Naruto 73 volumes
My 5 longest series by main series volumes (I also have some spin-off but I ranked them by main serie volumes) are : 1. One piece with 107 volumes (+ 12 spin-off/novels) 2. Skip beat with 47 volumes 3. Berserk with 41 volumes 4. My Hero Academia with 38 volumes (+ 23 spin-off/extra series volumes) 5. Attack on titan with 34 volumes. I'm also in the process of buying Yona of the Dawn and already own 28 of the 41 volumes.
Pokémon Adventures, with all the box sets, all of BW, half of BW2 and 4/6 volumes of XY. And some of the mini volumes of course.
Ah a fellow Pokemon collectors. If I didn’t collect them before Viz picked them up, I would do the same too.
One Piece and after that Bleach :)
Detective Conan, 90 vols (in English)
I’d love to collect that but fuck put out some box’s sets I’ll pick every one they put out up lol

Fourth place is Chainsaw Man with 17 (or 20th century boys if I had the 22 volumes edition). Fifth place is Steel Ball Run, 16 volumes

Technically Dragon Ball with all 42 volumes, but if we go by the way Viz split them up in the west, it’d be Dragon Ball z with 26
Fairy Tail is my current with 63, but bleach will pass it on Friday
Bleach since i got all 3 boxsets, followed with Haikyuu with all 45 volumes, and the third longs series i have is Hitman Reborn with 33 volumes and still looking for the missing 9

I was gonna complain about Black Butler having 33 volumes and still being nowhere near finished, but some of you are actually collecting One Piece 😭
Blue exoricst
Haikyu with 45. I even said that when I started collecting I only wanted to collect one large-volume series. I guess Tokyo Ghoul and Re: if you combine the 2 is the next largest one I have.

one punch man with 15 volumes .\_.
Bleach with 49 volumes Then detective Conan with 45 volumes
I've got 39 or 40 columes of Yona of the Dawn, that's my biggest one. My brother has all of One Piece tho, which dwarfs mostly anything.

shaman king, currently have 15 volumes of it, totally it has 35 though.
Detective Conan, 89 volumes so far (not counting my many copies and editions of Ranma)

My hero academia
Is pokemon manga good?
I enjoyed it a lot. The books derived more from the game so if you’re fan of the game, you’ll enjoy it too.
If I'm not mistaken, Ash was not in the manga, correct?
No he’s not. The manga based off the game so there’s no characters from the anime. Some of them are based off the player characters from the game while there are also some original characters too.
Black Clover Japanese Edition
One piece
mine would be pokémon adventures, but since the viz numbering is weird, the highest-numbered series i own are • kekkaishi (35) • slam dunk, golden kamuy (31) • kimi ni todoke (30)
Haha I agree the numbering in Viz’s Pokemon is also weird. If I hadn’t collect the chuang yi version earlier I would still collect it too.
So far Triage X with 26
Probably Dragon Ball because I have 18 volumes from my teens, the 14 3-in-1s though they aren't numbered other than the 3 contained volumes, two kanzenban from Japan, the 32 Full Colour volumes from Japan and 8 Full Colour volumes from the US. Also 41 volumes of Berserk.
Yona of the Dawn, with 40 volumes. Second would be MHA with a close 37 vols.
Jujustu Kaisen for me atm
The 14 Delux Editions of Berserk. 14 isn't a vlot but each one has 3 volumes.
Bleach definitely for me- I have Box set 1 and then from 55 - 74 as single volumes from when the series was going on + 3 CFYOW novels + 20th anniversary special volume 1 + 1 burn the witch volume
Yona of The Dawn 41 Volumes and still ongoing.

Right now, Attack on Titan with 34 volumes. Though Black Butler will overtake it very soon.
Vagabond, 37 single volumes. There'll never be a series in my collection with more volumes. Shaman King would be 35 volumes, but I got the omni volumes so... ;-) Next is Lone Wolf & Cub with 28 single volumes. Most of my series are a lot shorter though.
One Piece 87 vol, Naruto 72, Fairy Tail 44, MHA 38 (plus 2 Spin offs, and LN) and 31 volumes of Re:Zero light novel
Bleach, with 74
I’d say one piece probably I haven’t started collecting anything but all 4 box sets because fuck it I know they’ll be putting out a 5th box set probably soon for all of wano
I'd say Bungo stray dogs for me! I haven't made it up to date but right now I have 17 volumes including light novels. My collection is still quite small so that is most of my collection at the moment lol
Bleach which beat Naruto by 2
The big 3, but i feel that's cheating
Every demon slayer book, including all the side books
Go for box sets if you’re wanting to collection whole series immediately. Like promised never land, claymore, and others. Some box sets of course are only pieces of series but there’s a decent amount out there that are “completed series” box sets :)
