We need these rivers to come in a patch soon! They are after all the birthplace of great civilizations and would fit so well with the vibe of the game. Ports and cargo ships would be nice.
Jesus, I thought I was in the Vintage Story subreddit and that someone had made some kind of amazing new mod.
I almost had a heart attack.
(This is pretty, tho!)

Beautiful
I know right! I was confused at first, from all the recents posts about wanting rivers. I didn’t know they were already in the game.
Do they count as water source naturally or you still need to build well nearby?
I think it’s just for looks, I haven’t tested that. It’s on the far border.
They are purely cosmetics. You can literally just build houses over them.
I once had a market stall where the peddler was waist-deep in water while selling food. Reminded me of the hotdog food-truck-boat in Miami.
I build roads and houses alongside them
More of a stream than a river.
It’s just the camera angle making it look small. It is usually a lot bigger.
It’s still very cold in April
No, it's small. You can walk through it. It's like boot top high.
It was a comment about taking a picture of a certain body part.
Whelp that went right over my head lol
Better than in your mouth, like your foot.
Maybe a brook, possibly a runnel or a rivulet, certainly a creek though
Is the map always the same? I have one in my first play through too
Yep, there's only one map in the game right now.
I’m honestly not too sure, I think it’s the same map.
Looking forward to river trade ports mechanics

I love it when I got a region with these streams in them, I make a point of building my village around them.
