the first red-and-gold suit. For no reason, i like the pointy faceplate. I also dig the Mego version, probably because Shellhead was more fun in the garage than in the comics
I love [horned helmet too](https://assets.bigcartel.com/product_images/371258896/Iron+Hero+Horned+_1_.JPG?auto=format&fit=max&h=1200&w=1200).
In some artwork it makes Iron Man look [very intimidating](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Fhorned-helmet-v0-xfhkgu1rthnb1.jpg%3Fwidth%3D551%26format%3Dpjpg%26auto%3Dwebp%26s%3Dd973415730271bb98b5b1757f0e2b42795a4d56f). There is Something about the old-style, retro armor that I always love. It's not to steamlined and perfect. Tony is an engineer, I love the aspect that his suits (even being super advanced) can get even more advanced.
Honestly, my favorite armor by Tony is the War Machine, particularly models 3 and 4. The extra weapons and the color scheme just make the sense, and it looks awesome.
Superior simply for the feats.
The design is kinda, eh, but holy shit. Having armor you can control with your MIND?? That’s ALIVE??
Makes me wish I was a Stark for the inheritance.
1. Ultimate both movie and book, the're tied for 1st
2. the first gold/red MCU armor.
3. the armor he wore during west coast, the only problem with that is that it needed to be slimmer.
1. Modular Armor - Very first armor I had seen thanks to the cartoon. Bonus is the Hulkbuster along with it. The ultimate Hulkbuster armor for me.
2. Bleeding Edge.
3. Prime
4. MCU
5. Extremis
I'm a sucker for the Iron Man 1 final set, I love how clunky and bulky it is, it feels like such a powerful set of armor. Powered armor if you would even
Love the [Ultimate](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcS3_mJZXxztU3GEm-u9bSqGlZfctOJSF0UZVILbONGgx612uDLgGvwbOSjc&s=10) armor. It looks like there's room for someone to be inside it. The assembly line for it is awesome too.
Mcu mk43 used in age of ultron, I love its design it feels advanced but it’s still before the armour designs for sleeker so it feels more real. Plus honestly I love aou, it’s my favourite avengers movie and one of my favourites of the mcu overall
Superior Iron-Man's liquid nanotech Endosym armour is insanely good.
I've got a whole miniseries where someone convinces him to give them that armour, they track down the Scorn Symbiote(born of more Symbiote tech) and they end up with a spirit of variance (spirit of vengeance who wanted to pursue change as an ideal rather than Vengeance.
The Endo Sym would have an A.I designed by superior ironman and thus a Tony Stark Sycophant, who I think would be funny. The Scorn Symbiote I'd use as a child with autism kind of character. An alien intelligence born from bleeding edge technology. And the Spirit of Variance would be an ADHD allegory.
A machine mind, a magical entity, a fluid alien physiology. Mind, body and soul, with a mortal human attempting to balance it all.
Plus, an Ironman/Symbiote/Ghost rider amalgam would look so damn cool.
I like most of the Iron Man armours. There are few that tend to come first when Iron Man is mentioned.
Comic wise it is: Modular, Silver Centurion, Hulkbuster and Heroes Return.
MCU wise it is: Mark III.
Cartoon wise: Modular and EMH.
Model Prime, Bleeding Edge, Superior Iron Man, Model 42, Mark 50(MCU). I never agreed with the nonsense people talk about how nanotech is bad in the mcu. especially for a character like Iron Man
Slide four. I like how it looks like it's plates of armor covering the soft bits, plus the fact that it basically has all the previous suits strengths in one
The Alex Ross one, the model 70 is my favorite, it is a perfect blend of the old and new suit, my only problem is the arm and leg lights, I prefer the suit without them, and I also really like model 20 (the toy version with the back/shoulder fins, and extremis due to how sleek it is
Silver centurion or mcu’s mark 5, I’m a big fan of the silver+the mark 5 can turn into a briefcase making it more compact while still not being some stupid nano tech garbage
Pretty much all except the nanotech armor, too bland looking and I don't like how it looks when he puts on the suit. I prefer when the armor flies and attaches to him.
Extremis easily. But I still have a soft spot for his iconic 90s modular armour design since it was used for his 90s cartoon appearances, and for many of his Capcom fighting game appearances.
I don’t read much comics, but when I first saw the Superior Iron Man armor from the Lego Marvel Avengers game I had to go back and do my research on it. My overall favorite armor of his. A close second is the suitcase armor from the second movie.
For me, it's *probably* the MK 70 from the Comics. It was his "Back to basics" Type Suit, where He simplified his armor again instead of adding more and more onto it. It's a very nice, well-designed modernized Version of the Classic Style suit and I think it looks great!
Honorable mentions, for me, would go to the Extremis suit and the Bleeding Edge armor. I also like the Design of the Superior Ironman suit!
Superior Iron man and its not even close.
Literally tried getting the vol 2 comic (vol 1 is out of print) just for that design. (The story as a whole was mid, and very pro-Pepper , anti-Tony w*nk).
Modular holds a special place in my heart. That's the Iron Man I grew up with. Had his action figure and everything, it was so cool.
Extremis and Bleeding Edge are a couple of my modern favorites, as well as the Model Prime and whatever that red, gold, and black one immediately after Prime is called.
Big fan of the bleeding edge armour
Same! One of my favorites
Bleeding what?
It's like a nanotech suit that's like inside his skin that he can control mentally. Number 3 in the pics
Correct me if I'm wrong but it is stored in his bones right? Pretty crazy but I liked how they did it, plus looks so good
The suit is stored In your balls
Literally was just gonna say this
Crystal Dynamics Avengers has a BALLER suit
Agreed. Overhated game too tbh
The second one by Bob Layton. The briefcase armor was perfection, imo.
Old fart here. Agreed.
Yep. That's the one I grew up on also.
Yup! That is the one
the first red-and-gold suit. For no reason, i like the pointy faceplate. I also dig the Mego version, probably because Shellhead was more fun in the garage than in the comics
Same. Pointy faceplate with segmented head.
It feels real also. They made a point to show a bit how it was made.
Ultimate & Superior.
Aways loved the superior design. Just realized I forgot to include the ultimate design but that's a badass one!
Either the nightclub suit or the mcu mk5, I can't decide
Mk6 is also incredible
That first one is sexy
The one from spiderman homecoming is peak,I like the silver midsection a lot.
Oh ya that's based on his ultimate comics design. Just realized I totally forgot to add that damn
Oh yeah ultimate comics design is fire too, helmet design is fire
The civil war one looks cooler tho
One of my least favorites personally lol
I like most of the armor in the photos, but for me, the best is the Mark III from the MCU.
Mine too. I think it also has the best suit up moment in the MCU.
Model 51, I love how versatile it is without looking as messy as the mk 50
Does mk51 even exist?
Silver Centurion and the stealth one from the 90s
Love the silver centurion! Such a sick classic look
Honestly, my favorite armor by Tony is the War Machine, particularly models 3 and 4. The extra weapons and the color scheme just make the sense, and it looks awesome.
Silver and red suit from Iron Man 2
Iconic pick
End game suit is just so good looking
The Endo sym suit is personally my favorite but that is mostly cause I am a big fan of symbiotes but I also enjoy it's color scheme and design
Can’t decide, they’re too cool to pick a favorite.
Honestly I like the visible musculature one. The red and yellow look great.
To me it has to go to Invincible Iron Man (4th image). It's when I really got into Iron Man comics.
I love that suit! Heard alot of people hate on it. Specifically the mask but I dig it
I'm a fan of the Mark 51
Alex Ross redesign Simple yet detailed enough
Superior simply for the feats. The design is kinda, eh, but holy shit. Having armor you can control with your MIND?? That’s ALIVE?? Makes me wish I was a Stark for the inheritance.
1. Ultimate both movie and book, the're tied for 1st 2. the first gold/red MCU armor. 3. the armor he wore during west coast, the only problem with that is that it needed to be slimmer.
Either Mark one or war machine Mark three
Extremis or Ultimate. The Capcom suit is on there too. Same with the Mark 70z.
As long as Bob Layton’s drawing it, any of ‘em!
My favorite is also the Extremis suit. It's just so clean Honorable mention: the Midnight Suns game armor (black and gold)
Mk. VII (The Avengers)
Any love here for Heroes Reborn?
Promethium Armor… absolutely. Loved the exhaust pipes coming up behind the shoulders. The whole thing felt organic meets industrial.
His suit from Iron Man 2 was so fucking raw, including his suit from Avengers: Assemble
MK 52 is my fav. A super high tech suit with a classic design on top.
The third picture
Ya that bleeding edge armor is amazing. One of my favorites!
infamous iron man does not get anywhere near enough love
1. Modular Armor - Very first armor I had seen thanks to the cartoon. Bonus is the Hulkbuster along with it. The ultimate Hulkbuster armor for me. 2. Bleeding Edge. 3. Prime 4. MCU 5. Extremis
Heroes Return
Silver centurion my love
Red and Gold ones for me. Iron MSN should NEVER wear another color.
The silver and red armor goes EXTREMELY hard
Black and Gold suits always look great
Black and gold
The classic in pic #2.
Silver centurion. I like the color combo.
silver age stuff, and Model 13 mullet armor of the 90s
Model 13 from issue 300 has always been my favourite and really hoped we’d see it on the MCU.
Stark Odinsons Iron Hammer armor and Model 5
13 has the worst faceplate i ever seen
Where the f*ck is the suit with the nose!!!!!!🤬
iron man’s civil war suit goes hard, loved playing as him in ultimate alliance 2 cuz of that suit his ultimate one is underrated as hell too
Ultimate Iron Man
A lot of people probably won't agree but avengers infinity wars design is my favorite
Modular is the most bad-ass looking armor, and I'll die on that hill.
always liked the black and gold one dont kno the name of it tho
The original Ultimate suit is my favorite. A close second for me is that Marvel verse one that just look so very sleek.
Silver Centurion.
I absolutely ADORE the Invincible Iron Man suit (4/15)
That last ones hype
Silver Centurion, Superior, and Nipple Armor.
Superior Iron Man for sure
[Hulkbuster](https://images.app.goo.gl/GpUFbseBjdQQQZsG6)
Model 70
Superior, Bleeding Edge, and Fear Itself. I could do without the spikes on the last one though.
For the comics the Model 64, I like the black lower and helmet shape, for the MCU the MK42 holds a special place in my heart.
Prometheum. Pure nostalgia but I always thought it looked so cool.
I'm a sucker for the Iron Man 1 final set, I love how clunky and bulky it is, it feels like such a powerful set of armor. Powered armor if you would even
Extremis
Bryan Hitch Ultimates armor.
I really liked his original ultimate “wearing a jet” look, and also the black and gold was rad
I really like the ultimate armor (not pictured)
Mk1. The pure engineering and mechanical genius to pull that off inside a cave with minimal tools and a car battery keeping you alive.
Mk I, natch.
Extremis, Silver Centurion, and the Guardians of the Galaxy armor!
My top 3 would be the Bleeding Edge armor, the Mark 72 Mysterium armor, and the Model 51 Transformational armor.
Hulk Buster
Mind, body and soul, with a mortal human attempting to balance it all. Plus, an Ironman/Symbiote/Ghost rider amalgam would look so damn cool.
Extremis armor, Bleeding Edge, and the Modular armor
Idk why but I've always liked the armor from EMH, it's so cool to me
The Modular armor is the best ever made
The MCU
Hypervelocity suit
Modular
I like most of the Iron Man armours. There are few that tend to come first when Iron Man is mentioned. Comic wise it is: Modular, Silver Centurion, Hulkbuster and Heroes Return. MCU wise it is: Mark III. Cartoon wise: Modular and EMH.
The model prime armor it just looks so fucking cool and does cool shit
12, smooth nanotech with oldschool design.
I like several, but have always had a soft spot for the West Coast Avengers armor
3 6 9 and the classic hulk buster I love the marvel vs Capcom armor looks so slick
His ultimate design
Superior and the 90s animated series
8 or 12. Love me the black armor
The 2000’s Ultimate Ironman is my favorite.
I love the second picture, I have a poster of that one in my room
Whatever from movies, a lot better than suits from comic books
StarBoost
Model prime, followed by bleeding edge then extremis
In the comics? Probably the Extremis armor. From the MCU? The MkVIII from Avengers in my absolute favorite.
Silver Centurion. Iron Man 200 was my first Iron Man comic I ever got off the newspaper WAY back in 1985. Never forget your first love.
prime armor, superior and mk50
Pentagon armor
Model Prime, Bleeding Edge, Superior Iron Man, Model 42, Mark 50(MCU). I never agreed with the nonsense people talk about how nanotech is bad in the mcu. especially for a character like Iron Man
Extremis, superior, silver centurion
Pentagon suit
Slide four. I like how it looks like it's plates of armor covering the soft bits, plus the fact that it basically has all the previous suits strengths in one
The Modular Armor.
Uru Armour Iron Man!
My favorite Iron Man design is from the MCU and also the Extremis armor that he used during Civil War storyline
Extremis. It’s the perfect modern ironman
Mk 85
extremis or bleeding edge.
Mk 3 best by far
I’m a sucker for the Silver Age so it’s either the Model 4 or Model 8 (Silver Centurion) for me
Fourth image Special mention to Bengus' take on the Modular Armor
Even though it's probably the worst one, the MK1 suit screams "I am going to beat you to death"
Extremis, Pentagon, Hulkbuster and Modular will always be my favorite
Iron Patriot doesn’t get enough love imo… does that count?
1610 Iron Man and 6160 Iron Lad!
I’m a traditionalist. #2 was where I met Ironman. I just love the lines and shape of it.
Ultimate Ironman
I like the prime armor
It's not a popular opinion but 2099 is dope
12
Ultimate, but the one from Extremis and the bleeding age are awesome too
I like the 13th one I just forgot what it was called, but I’m also a fan of the armored adventures post extremis suit
Bleeding edge and Endgame are my favs
The first MCU red/gold suit, nothing beats that suit up scene.
MK42
Extremis and the Black and Gold as well.
Superior
The Alex Ross one, the model 70 is my favorite, it is a perfect blend of the old and new suit, my only problem is the arm and leg lights, I prefer the suit without them, and I also really like model 20 (the toy version with the back/shoulder fins, and extremis due to how sleek it is
Adi Granov. His run was my introduction to Iron Man.
Not sure what the first picture is, but that one is slick.
Marvel vscapcom 2 modular iron man
Sonny Frisco’s armor
The one from iron man 2 and avengers with the triangle
Silver centurion or mcu’s mark 5, I’m a big fan of the silver+the mark 5 can turn into a briefcase making it more compact while still not being some stupid nano tech garbage
All New and the triangular unibeam one in Iron Man 2.
Neo classic Armor
#10
Mark 42 from Iron Man 3. Loved that one. Reminds me of my childhood
All
Extremis and Bleeding Edge.
1980s red and gold armor or the 2000s armor from Extremis.
I like mk6 or mk20 I just feel like they look cool
I like the superior suit, but don't like the "helmet" part.
Pretty much all except the nanotech armor, too bland looking and I don't like how it looks when he puts on the suit. I prefer when the armor flies and attaches to him.
I have a soft spot for the second run Michelinie suit, I think it’s MK VII. Silver Centurion is also peak
2, 7, 10.
Extremis easily. But I still have a soft spot for his iconic 90s modular armour design since it was used for his 90s cartoon appearances, and for many of his Capcom fighting game appearances.
Silver Centurion
Model 4 always and forever! (comics)
Hulk Buster from Age Of Ultron.
his big clunky suit from the og Ultimate Iron Man Vol 1 (2005–2006) run the one where his whole skin is basically a brain anx he is a smurf as a child
Model 70
I don’t read much comics, but when I first saw the Superior Iron Man armor from the Lego Marvel Avengers game I had to go back and do my research on it. My overall favorite armor of his. A close second is the suitcase armor from the second movie.
His Civil War 1 suit, the same one he wore when Director of Shield. I've always liked it's design and triangular reactor.
Either Mark 5 or Mark 40
For me, it's *probably* the MK 70 from the Comics. It was his "Back to basics" Type Suit, where He simplified his armor again instead of adding more and more onto it. It's a very nice, well-designed modernized Version of the Classic Style suit and I think it looks great! Honorable mentions, for me, would go to the Extremis suit and the Bleeding Edge armor. Always loved the look of the promethium armour from heroes reborn
Superior Iron man and its not even close. Literally tried getting the vol 2 comic (vol 1 is out of print) just for that design. (The story as a whole was mid, and very pro-Pepper , anti-Tony w*nk).
Silver Centurion rulez
Modular holds a special place in my heart. That's the Iron Man I grew up with. Had his action figure and everything, it was so cool. Extremis and Bleeding Edge are a couple of my modern favorites, as well as the Model Prime and whatever that red, gold, and black one immediately after Prime is called.
The Uru armor from Fear Itself. Absolutely peak
I’ve always been partial to the Extremis Armor, but the ANAD design is a close second for me.
nobody ever says the nose armor
MK3
I always liked the Sliver Centurion....which changed to the color of gold afterwards,I like both of them.
My favourite isn’t on there. iron man 2 suitcase suit hits different 🔥
not this one
Photo 8. I have no idea I just love the black and yellow.
2,10,12
Model-Prime is peak
