I think looking at this as a time dedication problem is the wrong way to go. It’s impossible to be good at problem solving if you aren’t able to fully comprehend the basics of the situation. You need to find a tutor or a resource that helps you understand. My university had a specific tutor area for engineers, i’m sure yours does too.

Yeah i got one but i think i have to write by my hand and solve by myself. And test my self alot of times.. But how about studying 2-3 hours 5 days/week ?

Re-read theory. Then look at solutions for relevant problems and see how they apply the theory. Then practice problems with the theory open next to you. Then practice problems with the theory in your head.

If you aren’t doing all of that stuff with the tutor then that isn’t a tutor, that is someone doing the work for you.

Exposure and practice - eventually is sinks in.

Different for everyone. For me I need to be tested with stakes. I need the adrenaline. Like throwing a baby into the swimming pool

Mountain-Goose-8652

That’s is the best option.. testing your self , and i got a videos for an engineer who explain and solves problems , so i will study and write alot

NotVainest

bro can't even problem solve how to problem solve. Good luck out there.

Mountain-Goose-8652

I can but i need to write a lot and give a lot of effort

The two ways I learn best are by studying with others and by asking questions. I've been working in study groups in basically all my classes since my very first year of undergrad and it has significantly improved my motivation, my retention, my problem solving skills, my communication skills, and so on. Also, being able to teach someone else something proves your own understanding of that something. Also, don't be afraid to ask questions, whether it's to your professors or your peers. Having someone reexplain something to you from different angles catered to you can significantly improve your learning. For problem solving skills, especially in classes like fluids and thermo, practice makes perfect. There's almost no way around it. You need to be working on all the problems given to you in assignments, all examples shown in the chapters, and extra problems if needed. Being able to solve these problems on your own, even after multiple attempts, demonstrates your level of knowledge on that subject. Doing this also gives you the opportunity to (1) work with others and (2) ask questions if you don't know something.

I already got a videos for. An Engineer who GOT PAID , and he is solving the problemes and discussing them .. so i have to study and write alot and practice

storm_the_castle

Study group. Pound out homework, together, in silence, for a set amount of time (a few hours). *THEN* discuss. Dont discuss during/problem-by-problem as it defeats the purpose. Also, understand first principles and know your resources that you can tap into.

You missing their point. Studying with others helps to see how others approached the problem. It can help identifying gaps in your knowledge base or approach. It may also highlight different pathways to the same solution, which gives you more tools in your mental toolbox when approaching new problems in the future

I’m LONELY but maybe if i see a chance to communicate with others i will do but .. its very HARD
