Exactly. Besides being fiction, MD isn't that dedicated to historic accuracy in all respects. Potions are more powerful than they should be and the church doesn't rule everyone's life. If those things aren't included, why not have more gender equality? Not to mention there was more of that in the Middle Ages than pop history credits anyway.

Today is the day a new map called Oxbow, which can be used for single-player or multiplayer, is released for consoles. It's been out for PC for a while, but it will enable crossplay between PC and consoles and it introduces bridges.
The Oxbow map has it's own storyline sperate from the original single-player only map called The Valley.
I played for four hours and I’m excited for oxbow. Story made me feel too confined. Didn’t wanna progress too far in game otherwise I would pass the story quests. Just wanna play without thinking about that stuff.
