A giant fly, that the abdomen can release either a cloud of more realistic flies that fly at you and basically nibble you to death, or shoot an egg sac that becomes an stationary cloud
It could have an variant related to that sleep fly in africa, that the flies nibble you less but make you sleep
my monster idea is actually just the phantoms from dark souls, other players go into your hunts to try and fuck it up.
because watching disaster/monster movies made me realize, writers never get tired of adding "humans are the true monsters" into the story
