I actually think that Mihawk should be with Shanks, Corazon and Ace. - He pursued the fuck off of Krieg because they messed him - He was very respectful towards the Straw Hats, Zeff and Baratie's staff and fought Zoro because he asked him for and even encouraged him to get better. - He is really friendly with the Red Hair Pirates. - He fought in Marineford and wasn't trying to kill anyone, he was there just doing his job. - Once his friend Shanks arrived he bailed out and left. - He quickly accepted Perona on his island and took Zoro as his pupil. - Once he stopped being a Warlord he went chilling to his island and was forced to defend himself from the Marines. - His whole reason to join forces with Crocodile and Mihawk was to have Marines stop messing him. Dude is actually pretty chill.

Blackbeard is not fake nice! He's Luffy's counterpart, he's simultaneously the same and the opposite. He's just as friendly and charming as Luffy, he believes in dreams ("a man's dream never dies!"), he attracts a large following naturally But he's a pirate in the traditional sense. He will do whatever it takes to get what he wants, and what he wants is power and wealth. It's not complicated. Meanwhile, Luffy wants freedom for himself and for everyone, but even Luffy is selfish enough to have it for himself first. Maybe what Blackbeard wants is also freedom (that's the whole point of power), but he's just ok with getting it by evil means.
