To be fair I don't think he hates gays (or not more than he is aggressive towards men in general), but in his particular case the habitants of Momoiro (which I think aren't trans but more like cross dressers, a trans girl would be Okiku or the Impel Down Guard, but that's my take which could be wrong) were being too pushy towards him and that's what got him to overreact. He's not more aggressive towards Ivankov than he is Zoro or the Baratie cooks which are his family.
It is implied that Sanji actually do cares for them, given they suggest it could be one of them that the Vinsmokes could go after if Sanji didn't obey.

The whole okama island is really an akward place in the series.

He literally cant control himself when it comes to women, he almost died of nosebleed several times after the timeskip, the loveeyes he often has are very believably a representation of his innermost desire, and his backstory all but confirms it.
She has never shown any interest in men, thought Kalifa was sexy and made a pervy comment about her, her comment about Tashigi could be referring to her mom or could mean she is into Tashigi but we don’t really know, In One Piece World Seeker she and Robin hit on Tashigi in a hot spring, and in Movie 2 Nami propositions Honey Queen

Nah, there was no mistake in the translation. Kaido no musuko doesn't translate into anything other than son of kaido. Kaido has always referred to yamato as son, and yamato has always used Boku pronoun.
So don't put it on the translators.

To be fair I don't mind the trans interpretation even though I don't really see it as Canon for Yamato SPECIFICALLY. I see it more of a 8th grade and Peter Pan syndromes mixed due to not growing up with normal social interactions and just the admiration for Oden to overcome hardships.
But if fans want to see it that way it's cool as long as you don't try forcing others to agree or get aggressive about it.

Funnily enough - it doesn't work other way. If you, IN YOUR FANON (for those, who don't see), make gay character straight - you suddenly become homophobic, make someone sick and aggressive, and overall a H!tler in their eyes.
I think a lot of people are talking about just the second part and not the first part. Has Zoro been "confirmed" straight? When did Nami come out and say "I am only attracted to men"? It feels like no one has a problem with assuming characters are straight until explicitly, without any doubts, they are shown to be queer. It's only when fans read into scenes that could be interpreted as "that's a little gay" that people suddenly pop up to argue that there's no way that said character is gay because *whatever arbitrary reason they think contradicts supposed queerness.*
A LOT more fans say characters are canonically straight with no evidence than the other way around because straightness is seemed as normal or assumed and queerness is seen as an exception or other. If y'all can say with your chest that Nami is straight for no reason then I can say she's gay.
While I agree with the logic of what you are saying, I will say that anime isn't exactly...subtle...about gay characters. Regardless, people will think what they think regardless of what I think, so I try not to worry about it

I think one piece is rather tame in this aspect compared to other animes. Considering just how many characters there are and how big the fandom is, this is rather suprising
Honestly, there's only a handful of characters that have really had their sexuality referenced. Besides the ones who are married or a parent, all I can think of are Sanji, Doflamingo, Momonosuke, Boa Hancock, and Bon Clay (although he's not straight, so not applicable to this). Every other one doesn't have their sexuality addressed in the series so far
Tbf almost no character (save for a few) have been confirmed any sexuality cuz romance isn’t prevelant in OP. They all care too much about their dreams/adventure/justice/etc that at times, like someone commented with Doffy, it is inferred but then again not rly a primary or even secondary focus. Ofc we have characters like Sanji but then again fans can make their own interpretations until Oda says/shows outright what a character’s sexuality is
There are actually very few character who are "confirmed to be straight". A man liking women does not confirm that they are straight. A woman liking men does not confirm that they are straight. They could also like the same gender and we just don't know. The same applies to "gay" characters.

I think a lot of people are talking about just the second part and not the first part. Has Zoro been "confirmed" straight? When did Nami come out and say "I am only attracted to men"? It feels like no one has a problem with assuming characters are straight until explicitly, without any doubts, they are shown to be queer. It's only when fans read into scenes that could be interpreted as "that's a little gay" that people suddenly pop up to argue that there's no way that said character is gay because *whatever arbitrary reason they think contradicts supposed queerness.* A LOT more fans say characters are canonically straight with no evidence than the other way around because straightness is seemed as normal or assumed and queerness is seen as an exception or other. If y'all can say with your chest that Nami is straight for no reason then I can say she's gay.

I think one piece is rather tame in this aspect compared to other animes. Considering just how many characters there are and how big the fandom is, this is rather suprising
Honestly, there's only a handful of characters that have really had their sexuality referenced. Besides the ones who are married or a parent, all I can think of are Sanji, Doflamingo, Momonosuke, Boa Hancock, and Bon Clay (although he's not straight, so not applicable to this). Every other one doesn't have their sexuality addressed in the series so far

Tbf almost no character (save for a few) have been confirmed any sexuality cuz romance isn’t prevelant in OP. They all care too much about their dreams/adventure/justice/etc that at times, like someone commented with Doffy, it is inferred but then again not rly a primary or even secondary focus. Ofc we have characters like Sanji but then again fans can make their own interpretations until Oda says/shows outright what a character’s sexuality is

There are actually very few character who are "confirmed to be straight". A man liking women does not confirm that they are straight. A woman liking men does not confirm that they are straight. They could also like the same gender and we just don't know. The same applies to "gay" characters.
