Sorry! I’m not a total Blind Guardian hater… Nightfall in Middle-Earth is pretty dope. This one just felt extra cringe to me.
I also dislike Killswitch and Slipknot, but I’d be lying to myself if this wasn’t my least favourite remaining
I think it's weird that a lot of people from other Metal genres only like Nightfall by Blind Guardian, because I myself as a BG fan find it to be one of their softest albums. Lost in the Twilight Hall, Imaginations and Somewhere far beyond are all much more aggressive imo
So I think I kind of prefer music with strong clean vocals to be a bit less heavy sometimes, it almost feels more cohesive? Sometimes when the music doesn’t “match the vibe” for me it makes the vocals and lyrics stand out in a bad way. I can see why others would like that juxtaposition, it’s just not my cup of tea.
