Both Electric Wizard and Kyuss, in different ways. Electric Wizard are this sludgy occult haze that most other stoner metal bands follow. Especially on a classic like Funeralopolis, the song is the closest approximation I've ever heard to being high. The muffled, hazy sound is almost like musical cotton mouth, it captures that feeling of being stuck in the high. Kyuss are very different. I grew up in Colorado and am very fond of the deserts in New Mexico and Arizona, and nothing else captures the feeling of the desert quite like Kyuss. Their music is like cruising in the middle of the desert, the heat beating down on you, and the psychedelia of their sound is like hallucinating from the heat, and being surrounded by the weirdo spiritualist hippies of the southwest. I know the division is hazy, but for me Electric Wizard are the definitive stoner metal band, and Kyuss are the definitive stoner rock band.

IMO there's two types of stoner rock, the Sabbath Master of Reality style bands and the desert rock bands. I'd say Sleep for the first and Kyuss for the second. You could argue also that Black Sabbath is the correct answer.
