Days later one of my friends picked up the DS later and he asked me about the game and I said "oh yeah that's broken, can't get past the title screen" and he's like "what are you talking about? I'm already past it".
Turns out the game only accepts touch controls in the title screen. I just tried the buttons, forgot it's a goddamn DS, and gave up.
Thats not even a soft lock, that's a hard lock...
No matter what you do, you will always end up in this screen when booting the game! I feel unimaginably sorry for you... 😭

I feel like if this is ever an actual issue (I’m pretty sure this is a shitpost, right?), the easiest solution would be to completely delete the game’s save data off of your account.
