Here is what I would suggest, but they all do not deliver, but IMO, what you are eating 30-50 minutes after its is out of the oven is not the same as in house.
Dulono's
Parkway
Carbones \*\*there are several, however just in name. The store in St Paul on Randolph has the original crust and sauce. The other locations do not.
Cossettas. St Paul. Go during lunch or dinner rush and get a couple of fresh slices.
Davanis. Local chain. Original Store St Paul Grand Ave
Green Mill. Again, several locations, local chain, but original store is on Grand in St Paul.
Sammys. Another MN chain. I think the only metro location is Anoka. Mainly a up north spot.
This is a good portion of your long time Pizza joints in the Twin cities. There are many other newer ones.
What helps make these places a bit above everyone is the old ovens they all have.
IIRC children of the Carbone family decided to start their own restaurants, largely using the same recipes passed down from their mom. One stuck to the Randolph location, while the other started the chain. The chain's recipes have changed a little bit over time, but pizza between the two is pretty similar. I think the Randolph location is the best.
Pizza Luce is a local chain that gets a lot of hate here but it is solid pizza, much better than national chain pizza. No delivery fees, they are open late, their site is easy to order from, they are quick, and have good customer service. They have a location downtown.
Ok I just peeked at their menu as I can’t get Luce delivered where I live but I need to try both of those pizzas. I need to order them and go get them because those look delicious. Luce has always been solid. I just forgot about them.
I've been ordering from Luce for ~15 years and they (particularly the DT location) have the best delivery people I've ever interacted with. I used to work at City Hall & once placed an order for a slice and a salad. Time from order submission to delivery was EIGHT MINUTES. Everything had to have lined up for that to happen but it was amazing.
Pizza Luce wings are super underrated. And they take delivery orders until 1AM?? Anybody shitting on that doesn't understand us folks who have to work late!
I've come around on them. One of the few that delivers to my area. No delivery fees, drivers are always really nice. The prices are fair now that everything else got so expensive.
Best vegan pizza options anywhere, in my opinion. They do get unwarranted hate. Expensive, but usually worth it.
My favorite is their vegan cheese burger pizza. It's seasonal, so not always available. But when it comes around, I order it multiple times.
They are good if you need to avoid something like dairy or some other food. For example they are the only place I know where I can get a pizza with no onion or garlic. (I love those ingredients, but they make me sick.)
"Established in 1957, Dulono’s Pizza operated for 60 years out of its original Uptown storefront before relocating to downtown Minneapolis."
[Minnesota Monthly](https://www.minnesotamonthly.com/food-drink/pizza-madness-dulonos-pizza/#:~:text=Established%20in%201957%2C%20Dulono%27s%20Pizza,before%20relocating%20to%20downtown%20Minneapolis)
Like 12 plus years ago, that’s where the original was. It was awesome. Super old school hole in the wall vibe, a bit gritty. Had bluegrass bands every Sunday or something like that.
It was just east of Lyndale on Lake St. I lived in an apartment on Garfield between Lake and 31st, and it was half a block from me. It was so freaking good. We moved away in 2018 and I think it closed around the same time.
OK what is it about Dulono's sauce? It has some x factor that I can't figure out. It almost tastes like they blend black olives into it or something. Is there any name for this style or any other places that have similar sauce?
We have some great pizza. However the really good ones like Parkway is best in house. IF you are going to get delivery, tell them not to cut it. You can thank me later.
1. keeps pizza together during delivery.
2. Keeps center from getting soggy from the grease. It cant seep through the cuts.
3. You can cut it the way you want.
I have no idea why I haven't thought of any of those points until now. And who doesn't have a pizza cutter or knife at home?
Gonna do this going forward, thank you!
Also if it’s not as warm or as done as you like, or you wanna doctor it up with some other stuff, parm reggiano or what not, toss it in the oven for a few.
Parkway because free delivery in the neighborhood, the pico pizza is my favorite, and a cookie. (Canned soda is always ice cold)
Fat Lorenzos. Objectively better pizza, massive slices and nice fluffy hand tossed crust (for real hand tossed, no playing games here). Carne is my favorite. Can't believe nobody has mentioned it yet. They also have gelato which is fun but I haven't had it in years so I can't say if it still hits.
I'm single so ordering a Fats pizza is like ordering a thanksgiving feast for a family, so I opt for Parkway because a whole pizza is two meals for me which is perfect. Fats is like 8 meals.
Frank from Philly and Andrea pizza is probably the best non-chain I've had. Not sure if they deliver, but you can always use an delivery app. Tono's is also their creation, IIRC.
there's a lot of clowns in here not talking delivery and splitting hairs. as someone in a similar spot: Lucé until you get tired of it then try Arturo's. quick, fast and in house. both good, both different.
If you ever get the chance to, try Wrecktangle; their LynLake location delivers via DoorDash and it's some good stuff
They also have locations at the Market at Malcolm Yards (over by Surly), North Loop Galley, the Wrestaurant at the Palace, Silver's Market, as well as a food truck that goes around
Was hoping to avoid doordash or Uber as their services are expensive, completely unreliable, preditory, woth awful customer service. Hence the search for in house delivery. But I've had good experience with grubhub, so if I can find them there I'll add it to the list!
Giordano's in Richfield, but they have a fairly limited delivery area. As a Chicago transplant, their pizza is the same as it is in Chicago. Good thin crust too, but expensive.
If you want the best New York style, Ginelli's in the skyway is top notch. They are only really open during business hours though.
Davanni's is decent for a local chain, and many locations have a great lunch slice combo which is still pretty cheap, but they tend to run out of slices early.
Huh, I didn't think there was another Giordano's here aside from the one on Hennepin just outside Uptown/Downtown Mpls a few years ago
But yes, for it being a deep dish place out of Chicago, it's some good stuff
Is Galactic pizza still delivering?
I used to love that place.
ETA: oh shit, they closed last month. 😥
https://bringmethenews.com/minnesota-lifestyle/galactic-pizza-in-minneapolis-abruptly-closes
Idk if they deliver downtown but Pair of Dice is a great locally owned place with, in my opinion, the cheesiest square cut in the city. Square cut is the Minnesotan style of pizza
Pizza Luce, which is not very good imo, and Parkway Pizza do their own delivery. You’ll have to check if you’re in Parkway’s delivery area though, the closest one to downtown I think is in northeast
I don’t know if they deliver downtown but Fat Lorenzo’s near Lake Nokomis is my favorite.
Here is what I would suggest, but they all do not deliver, but IMO, what you are eating 30-50 minutes after its is out of the oven is not the same as in house. Dulono's Parkway Carbones \*\*there are several, however just in name. The store in St Paul on Randolph has the original crust and sauce. The other locations do not. Cossettas. St Paul. This guy pizzas.
Green mill is local??!
i’m curious to know more about the differences in Carbones locations
They are franchises in name only. Randolph store is the only one with original recipes.
I think the carbones on 7th is the original?
IIRC children of the Carbone family decided to start their own restaurants, largely using the same recipes passed down from their mom. One stuck to the Randolph location, while the other started the chain. The chain's recipes have changed a little bit over time, but pizza between the two is pretty similar. I think the Randolph location is the best.
Cossettas!
Add Jakeenos and you have a great list.
Bruh what the carbones on Randolph is like the worst fucking pizza on the planet.
Pizza Man is my favorite. Dumb name but awesome Pizza. 2nd is Dulonos.
Is this the same Pizza Man from Baldwin, WI?
Parkway.
By a mile
Their sausage is divine.
Yes!
I miss this one, we can't get it anymore.
Yup. Yom Yom.
Was not a fan of this place and I love sausage pies. Was average imo.
Oh well
Pizzas trash
Your grammar is trash
Football pizza is my husband and I’s favorite
This! How is this not a more popular response?!
Pizza Luce is a local chain that gets a lot of hate here but it is solid pizza, much better than national chain pizza. No delivery fees, they are open late, their site is easy to order from, they are quick, and have good customer service. They have a location downtown.
Their loaded baked potato pizza is so fire
IMO, Fire Breathing Dragon and Ruby Rae are the GOAT delivery options from Luce.
Ok I just peeked at their menu as I can’t get Luce delivered where I live but I need to try both of those pizzas. I need to order them and go get them because those look delicious. Luce has always been solid. I just forgot about them.
Fire breathing dragon is awesome
I love the fire breathing dragon!
Ruby Rae, every time. I like their seasonal ones too, but I almost always default to ruby rae.
Cheeseburger pizza is my favorite! but they don't have it all the time
It’s on the menu every summer
I don’t think I’ve had that before! I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled for next time I order
It's sooooo good. I like the elote pizza but I would have picked the cheeseburger as a regular menu item over that!
Elote is fire. I'll have to look out for this!
Omg that hasn't been on the menu for years but I remember trying it once and it was so damn good
Hell yeah. That pizza slaps so hard.
Pizza Luce is almost entirely mid but the loaded baked potato pizza keeps me spending a stupid amount of money on a medium pizza 2-3 times a year.
Love Pizza Luce. And they are the only delivery that will bring it up to my apartment and not just leave in the lobby which I appreciate
Their drivers are super nice.
Pizza Luce wings are criminally underrated. Hey, OP, get the Peking Wings well done.
Get them "dry". They still have a Buffalo marinade but are waaay better without the sauce.
I can see this being good. I'll give that a try.
Parkway has a solid vegan pizza
Oh yes, Luce is great It's such a hit that once every few weeks for the Tuesday lunch we have catered in to our office, we'll go with them
They are good if you need to avoid something like dairy or some other food. For example they are the only place I know where I can get a pizza with no onion or garlic. (I love those ingredients, but they make me sick.)
I’ve literally never heard hate for Pizza Luce
Oh, just search for “pizza” or “Pizza Luce” on the subreddit search.
Look two comments down lol
It's worst pizza in the midwest. But I'm happy yall love it.
I like to get them occasionally because they have such unique pizzas. On that note, has anyone tried the chicken and waffles one?
Yes, I felt tricked. lol It was kind just of meh imo, would not order again
The Luce but add pepperoni is a revelation. Meaty, garlicky, oniony, and awesome.
The Boss makes my heart pitter patter
Yes! Pizza Lucé!!! ❤️
It gets hate because it’s incredibly mediocre and overpriced
Red Rabbit
Dulono's
Oh damn, i didn't know there was another one besides the uptown location that closed.
When was there ever a Dulono's in Uptown?
"Established in 1957, Dulono’s Pizza operated for 60 years out of its original Uptown storefront before relocating to downtown Minneapolis." [Minnesota Monthly](https://www.minnesotamonthly.com/food-drink/pizza-madness-dulonos-pizza/#:~:text=Established%20in%201957%2C%20Dulono%27s%20Pizza,before%20relocating%20to%20downtown%20Minneapolis)
Like 12 plus years ago, that’s where the original was. It was awesome. Super old school hole in the wall vibe, a bit gritty. Had bluegrass bands every Sunday or something like that.
They closed in like 2018.
Ah
That place wasn't in Uptown. It was on Lake and Garfield.
Lol, k
It was just east of Lyndale on Lake St. I lived in an apartment on Garfield between Lake and 31st, and it was half a block from me. It was so freaking good. We moved away in 2018 and I think it closed around the same time.
Dude what……….. It was a cozy little place that regularly featured live bluegrass and folk music. An institution. For some 60 years.
2 for 1 Monday & Tuesday!
Interesting tip. Why not to cut it?
1. keeps pizza together during delivery. 2. Keeps center from getting soggy from the grease. It cant seep through the cuts. 3. You can cut it the way you want.
I have no idea why I haven't thought of any of those points until now. And who doesn't have a pizza cutter or knife at home? Gonna do this going forward, thank you!
This goes for if you are picking up as well. Pizza just travels better uncut.
I also prefer an uncircumcised pizza.
But then it won’t look like its pizza father!!!
Huh, never thought of all that. I'm gonna have to do that for now on.
Also if it’s not as warm or as done as you like, or you wanna doctor it up with some other stuff, parm reggiano or what not, toss it in the oven for a few.
Fuck yes only way to order. Davannis cuts their calzones, I don't get it cheese oozes out. Always uncut. Cheese slips makes crust soggy.
Parkway all day. In fact, having it now.
Parkway because free delivery in the neighborhood, the pico pizza is my favorite, and a cookie. (Canned soda is always ice cold) Fat Lorenzos. Frank from Philly and Andrea pizza is probably the best non-chain I've had. Not sure if they deliver, but you can always use an delivery app. Tono's is also their creation, IIRC.
Tono’s is wayyyy better than Frank and Andrea’s
Depends on what you want. It's the same people, same founders.
Wait, Tono's and Frank from Philly and Andrea Pizza are under the same ownership? I had no idea!
https://racketmn.com/tono-pizzeria-cheesesteaks-growing-twin-cities-pizza-empire
Enzos on south side beats it by a mile if fresh. Better than Elmars too
Jakeenos
Yes. Everyone here is loving on Parkway when Jakeeno's is soooo much better.
Davannis is alright and does in house delivery. MN chain
Davannis with pink sauce is the bomb
I know it's not the best in town and the original restaurant is fine but I still love Broadway. They're sausage pizza is so good.
The one in Robbinsdale made me the worst pepperoni pizza I've ever had.
Mesa Pizza has interesting pizzas!
[удалено]
I friggin love Sarpinos crust
Maybe not the best, but Sarpino's is consistently good.
I love the jalapeño ranch dip they provide!
Agreed, but it's not local being from Chicago and is a chain restaurant.
That's still regional and worth a shot!
Hell yeah! Highly recommend trying any of their specialty pizzas, and I absolutely love their calzones!
It's the best pizza that we regularly order. Little pricey but everything is a step up from other delivery.
They have a bunch of customizing options on build your own too, which is nice.
Boludo 2 4 1 on Uber eats
Was hoping to avoid the presitory apps and stick to in house delivery. But if I can find them on grub hub I'll add it to the list to try.
Wait 241?!
there's a lot of clowns in here not talking delivery and splitting hairs. as someone in a similar spot: Lucé until you get tired of it then try Arturo's. quick, fast and in house. both good, both different.
(i'll also boost Red Rabbit as it's worth mentioning as it very legit and cheap too. But only p/u or ubereats)
Cool! Thanks for focusing on in house delivery and cheap
Mario's is pretty great, if a little spendy. The artichoke pie is our family's favorite.
Wrestaurant at the Palace is ❤️
Sarpinos is the best that I regularly order.
If you ever get the chance to, try Wrecktangle; their LynLake location delivers via DoorDash and it's some good stuff They also have locations at the Market at Malcolm Yards (over by Surly), North Loop Galley, the Wrestaurant at the Palace, Silver's Market, as well as a food truck that goes around

Wrecktangle and Pizza Luce.
Punch pizza does not deliver. But it's excellent neopolitan if you ever want to dine in.
Go to bolutos - it’s next to US Bank stadium. Very very good. No delivery (sorry fam).
*boludo *4 locations (uptown, downtown, como, s. Mpls)
Is Galactic pizza still delivering? I used to love that place. ETA: oh shit, they closed last month. 😥 https://bringmethenews.com/minnesota-lifestyle/galactic-pizza-in-minneapolis-abruptly-closes
That's too bad. It's always sad to lose an option
Fat Lorenzo’s, but if you are downtown you are out of their delivery area.
Pro tip get your pizza uncut. Travels better and you can darken it up if like me and think most places undercook.
Dulanos or Leaning tower
Boludo on nicolett
Boludo on Portland Ave
Mesa pizza is kinda spendy, but it is damn good pizza. Also their pizzas are gigantic
Northern Fires Pizza or Cosettas. Neither deliver, but you could do Uber Eats or Door Dash.
Red's also delivers their own food, but you can order through Doordash.
Pizza Luce
DONIMOS!
Downvote for now following instructions
Fair play, I'm a slut for their pizza and had to voice it
Fair enough
Slice Pizza in NE is my go-to. Huge slices or full pies served up NY style.
Pizza Luce. Hands down. Ray, one of the drivers, is truly a ray of sunsine!
