They're neat concept wise when the original games usually are much bigger than the demake, and a lot of the time when you're already so passionate about something (FF7 for example), it can be fun to see your object of affection in a new light.

Broadens the amount of things you can play something on, it's not that complicated. I'd love to have a version of Lumines on SNES or something.
