The Bucks won't pull out a miracle tonight. This team is cooked, and the FO needs to make miracles happen after the Bucks get sent on vacation next week by a team of guys who made their first postseason. Can't believe our team of vets are getting trounced by another team the 2019 Bucks would've swept.
I've been a doomer since a washed Demar put up a career high 40 point game against the Bucks. This team, aside from Giannis, is not good at all. Their crowning achievement in Giannis' absence is winning two games against a Hawks team missing Trae Young. Now they have Siakam looking like FMVP Giannis, despite Siakam being terrible and on a downward trend following the departure of Kawhi from Toronto. It's not a coincidence that this team routinely lets average to good players look like all time greats.
He was all-nba 2nd team and 3rd team. He hasn't been all NBA in two years now, and his selection before the last one was 4 years ago. He likely will not see another selection with player position being eliminated from selections. Siakam has not been playing well in recent years at all
Pascal has been a monster in the mid-range forever so I hope for everyone's sake that you're watching this alone in a dark basement on a tube TV. Yuck. I've had this sort of attitude before, let me fill you in on a little secret: nothing positive will come out of it.. if the Bucks fail & you're gratified it's due to failure. Find silver linings and maybe start taking some vit D cuz it sounds like you need it
This time around I'll watch the box score intermittently instead of the game. Only so much of Dame getting doubled at half court while the rest of the team ball watches that I can enjoy. I would enjoy the game more if I were a Pacers fan, but I'm not so I won't.
Man, lifeās too short to care about things that bum you out. Youāre not even going to watch something you care about because it pains you? I donāt say this in a snarky way - find something more enjoyable to care about.
I was there with you when I was younger. Then I stopped caring about all the Packers epic playoff fails and football became more enjoyable and my attitude did too.
I get it. Used to be sad and grouchy for a day or so after Packer losses. Extra so when playoffs happened.
I was forced to take a step back, and it was good perspective. Now Iāve got a better relationship with it. Maybe think about a step back and finding something else that brings you joy?
Go bucks.
Nah I've been around since the Michael Redd days. I've been to the Bradley Center countless times. This year is actually the first year in all of the years the Fiserv Forum has been open that I haven't been to a game. Before I could count on two hands the games I've missed, playoffs included
Thatās cool, man. You sound like an absolutely miserable person. Glad youāre trying to bring everyone else down to your level, that seems really productive.
I understand the downvotes because is game day and everyone is hoping/looking forward for a win but indeed is a disgrace to be punked so hard all season by a zero defence team and postseason again by the same zero experience team.
The excuse will be that the team dealt with injuries all year and had no time to gel. Apparently Khris needs an entire summer and half a season to ramp up to prepare for getting into game shape, and half a season to get into game shape
If game scores 70, and Bobby puts up 30, we are still way short. We still need to have big games from everybody, AND play some level of passable defense.Ā
3 fucking years in a row we have shit injury luck while all the other teams (Miami aside) are healthy and doing just fine.Ā
Wisconsin sports is cursed beyond belief to rip our hearts out at the worst times.Ā
Just like the Bakhtiari injury before the TB game.Ā
Itās because we canāt develop anyone, and are force to play the old heads a lot of minutes all season long.
The Nuggets played their young players all season long, and they could develop and rest the vets.
To be fair, Giannis should not have played in any of the final games after his initial injury - but him being the competitor he is, pushed through the pain, and ended up with another injury. Fortunately, itās a 7 game series, and weāre only going into game 3. Also fortunately, we have a competent enough team that can beat this Pacers squad when we play to our potential. When we lack effort and hustle like in game 2, the Pacers beat us easily.
Giannis will be back game 4 donāt worry. We still have dame.
Letās just hope our defense is better than last game and doc makes some adjustments.
Would love to see some AJax and no AJ Green.
I truly donāt think it matters if we win or lose games on when we bring G back. Idk, I just feel weāre not seeing Giannisā until game 6 at the earliest. Maybe itās just me trying to ease the pain but i wouldnāt assume him being back next game no matter what.
bingo , its the most likely scenario by far. Who could have ever imagined during prime giannis and now with dame we lose 2 years in a row in 5 games first round
Not sure why anyone thinks this or is optimistic at this point. If Giannis is good enough to play, he'll play. The dude is ravenous. He was playing injured in the regular season. He's clearly not right.
Fine with it, assuming that would put the halftime score in a demoralizing state for the Pacers they might not have it in them to make a second half comeback
yup its looking like that is the price we paid. Piss away prime giannis and still serviceable dame years for winning the chip, Ya almost had another chance!!!!!!!! the injury gods taketh away
I would guess Khris plays unless that ankle really took a turn for the worse given he played 30+ minutes on it post injury
on the other hand, if he doesn't play, it may simply force the issue of AJJ minutes
And risk him being out for half a season again next year? It's just bad luck, I say shut it down, and get everyone's ducks in a row and let it burn, and just come out swinging next year. Just like Bron to the Heats and Lakers, then back to Cleveland, Pau to the Lakers, these big star additions usually don't win the first year. But if they take that time to gel, build chemistry, get integrated, that ring comes the year after.
no offense but that's lame as hell, it's the playoffs and they should at least attempt to win so long as Giannis is on the roster. cause he won't be forever and things are looking pretty rough once he's not.
If Midds thinks he's good to play and the doctors clear it, let him see if he can gut it out. I mean he's not really getting any better either, he's also running out of chances
Middleton is sooooo brittle. He falls down half the time he tries to dribble or make a quick move and it I hold my breath every time hoping he gets up.
He like barely turned the ankle too, you see people looking like they break their shit and they lace them up and keeps on playing. Weird how his body just doesn't wanna do pro sports rn.
I know, I will forever love Khris and still think he's a good player when he's healthy, but it's clear that his body is kinda failing him.. Injury after injury. Kinda crazy when he's actually isn't even 33 yet
who gives a fuck if he comes back again next year ? honestly hes cooked , hes untradeable, we won't get jack shit in return for him if they do decide to move him.
Well on the bright side if they lose tonight it's not gonna be that disappointing and if we somehow pull it off it'll be a massive upset and I feel like with how fragile the Pacers are it could shatter their confidence for the series.Ā
Maybe we shouldve played Marjon and Ajax more than 2 minutes a game over the last half of the season to let giannis rest more? I d9nt care if they arent performing like all stars, how are they gonna get better if they get no live game time?
Uhh?? Idk practice.. nba trainors? NBA coaches? Facilities? I donāt get why people think Jackson is the answer to anything. Thereās a reason he doesnāt play.
If jackson is playing, giannis can rest. It can be livingston for all the fuck i give, hell lets grab thon, hire the corpse of Ilyasova. orrrrrrrrrrrr how about play Danilo? Why are we paying Danilo? You cant run a 7 man rotation that long and expect to be healthy come playoff time is all im saying
When I see guys like Pat Bev and Embid push past pain and facial paralysis, I wonder if Khris is a delicate doily with low pain tolerance or truly unplayable.
With Khris potentially out, I wouldn't mind giving young bucks some proper minutes for the defense and energy. We know Crowder has been straight dogshit pretty much since his return. Give AJ Green minutes, even let him find his rythm for threes. Give Ajax some minutes on Siakam to pressure him. What is the worst that could happen considering how ass Crowder is for us and how our 1st and (probably) 3rd best players are out.
Hear me out yall. Iād rather not see Giannis, and lose this year but let him heal for next, than to push him for a series we may not even win.
Not to mention this first year with a new coach in Doc that JUST joined, and a new Dame with family issues is probably a long shot to the chip.
Next year with healthier (both physically and mentally) superstars as well as some more experience from them and coaching we can shoot again.
My worry is though that the roster is getting really old to the point that Iām scared of even more injuries
The roster is already super old. how long of a window do you really see as far as being a title contender goes. I see this year and next year max.
Iād take the risk. why so casual? like yeah 30 year old Gianniās 33 year old midds 34 year old dame 37 old brook are gonna light em up in the play offs next year.. what are you thinking? itās pretty much now or never. Hell the window may already be closed
Are you dumb? The window isnāt closed, Giannis is still a top 2 player in the league and dame is still a superstar lmao? Did you forget that?
As long as Giannis injury isnāt permanent and we have them we have a chance. As for the other, the roster yes it would probably have to be built different. But youāre delusional if you think itās over. I give it a couple more years before itās sealed assuming no major changes are made.
i think the Bucks have probably run into the issue of his return in a trade becoming pretty paltry given his contract
which means the most value you'd get out of him is probably holding onto him and hoping for the best. sure, you could get *something* out of him and probably get younger if you traded with the right team but whether or not that trade would do much to help is another conversation (i.e. the team would get younger, but also worse)
And they had to sign him to that contract, because we would have still been over the 1st apron without his contract, so we would have been replacing him with a vet min.
Precisely
It was re-sign the olds (Brook and Khris) or lose them and also the money to work with. Unfortunately, Bucks were between a rock and a hard place and running it back to at least some degree was the only choice if the goal was to still compete
Okay maybe they made Giannis play too much this year. But that never really happened with Bud and the closest thing weāve had to a non contact injury other than Giannis calf was Khris slipping against the bulls
Can't overstate how much my stress level would reduce if the Bucks pulled out a miracle tonight.
As long as we leave Indiana 2-2 I'll be okay. Nervous but okay 1-3 and I'm in shambles. Absolute shambles.
Winning won't be a miracle.
Least doomin buck
I've been a doomer since a washed Demar put up a career high 40 point game against the Bucks. This team, aside from Giannis, is not good at all. It's not a coincidence that this team routinely lets average to good players look like all time greats.
Siakam was literally All NBA AFTER Kawhi left šš dude is straight talking out of his ass
Was just about to say, this makes no fucking sense
He was all-nba 2nd team and 3rd team. He hasn't been all NBA in two years now, and his selection before the last one was 4 years ago. He likely will not see another selection with player position being eliminated from selections. Siakam has not been playing well in recent years at all
Fuck is bro waffling about, his best statistical season was 2022-2023
Pascal has been a monster in the mid-range forever so I hope for everyone's sake that you're watching this alone in a dark basement on a tube TV. Yuck. I've had this sort of attitude before, let me fill you in on a little secret: nothing positive will come out of it.. if the Bucks fail & you're gratified it's due to failure. Find silver linings and maybe start taking some vit D cuz it sounds like you need it
Can't we just watch the game and enjoy it for what it is?
This time around I'll watch the box score intermittently instead of the game. Only so much of Dame getting doubled at half court while the rest of the team ball watches that I can enjoy. I would enjoy the game more if I were a Pacers fan, but I'm not so I won't.
Have fun I guess? Go bucks baby
Dude he aināt a fan, donāt waste your time. Heās just salty for some reason and is looking for attention. Heās just talking out of his ass
I haven't been in a good mental state for a while now. Watching the Bucks win was all I had, and even that's gone now.
I get it. Used to be sad and grouchy for a day or so after Packer losses. Extra so when playoffs happened. I was forced to take a step back, and it was good perspective. Now Iāve got a better relationship with it. Maybe think about a step back and finding something else that brings you joy? Go bucks.
You sound like a bandwagon fan that only supports his team when they are winning. Aka the worst kind of fan there is, if you can even be called one.
Nah I've been around since the Michael Redd days. I've been to the Bradley Center countless times. This year is actually the first year in all of the years the Fiserv Forum has been open that I haven't been to a game. Before I could count on two hands the games I've missed, playoffs included

mate you sound like a guy i know who fucking sucks
People are mad but this is true
Brother please just stop watching basketball if it makes you this miserable

I understand the downvotes because is game day and everyone is hoping/looking forward for a win but indeed is a disgrace to be punked so hard all season by a zero defence team and postseason again by the same zero experience team.
It's hilarious how they downvote you , yet in a week they'll be crying over here.
The excuse will be that the team dealt with injuries all year and had no time to gel. Apparently Khris needs an entire summer and half a season to ramp up to prepare for getting into game shape, and half a season to get into game shape
I mean, the Bucks have had Giannis, Dame, and Khris for 7 games under Doc. Injuries this season have been absolutely brutal
Midd has been ramping up for 3 years now. He's almost ready
It's going to take a historic level Dame carry plus role players stepping up.
If game scores 70, and Bobby puts up 30, we are still way short. We still need to have big games from everybody, AND play some level of passable defense.Ā
Ajax time baby

My stress levels are listed as high
Why high? a loss is kinda expected tbh
3 fucking years in a row we have shit injury luck while all the other teams (Miami aside) are healthy and doing just fine.Ā Wisconsin sports is cursed beyond belief to rip our hearts out at the worst times.Ā Just like the Bakhtiari injury before the TB game.Ā

To be fair, we won in 2021 and faced a hurt Nets team many thought were favorites. Just how it is with sports sometimes unfortunately.
Injuries happen. What doesn't always happen is surrounding your stars with as much trash as Horst has with the Bucks.
Just as devastated as you are man. Feel the same way.
Imagine playing giannis in a meaningless game
Cursed beyond belief with a title 3 years ago? Ok. Itās trash luck but not ācursed beyond beliefā
Giannis will be back game 4 donāt worry. We still have dame. Letās just hope our defense is better than last game and doc makes some adjustments. Would love to see some AJax and no AJ Green.
Cmon SOMONE ANYONE have an A+ night where we go YUP thatās the Pat game. Someone make 4 3s stunt on these front running fucks.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
get out
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
?
Expected, winning game 1 gave him a few extra days of rest. If they donāt win tonight he plays game 4
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
So you think he would be playing tonight if the bucks had lost the first 2?
I truly donāt think it matters if we win or lose games on when we bring G back. Idk, I just feel weāre not seeing Giannisā until game 6 at the earliest. Maybe itās just me trying to ease the pain but i wouldnāt assume him being back next game no matter what.
what makes you think there will be a game 6?
I didnāt say there would be lol. I just said game 6 at the earliest. So if the series ends in 5, we will not see Giannis imo
He ain't playing this series. It's time to come to terms with it so you can start grieving another 4-1 1st round series loss.
bingo , its the most likely scenario by far.
Reports are he is not able to run yet. It seems like heās just not able to play NBA basketball yet regardless of what the series is like.
Shams doesnāt have sources when it comes to injuries, he also said KAT would be out till the WCF, I would wait to see what Woj says
I wasn't referring to Sham's report
The report that said he couldnāt run was from Shams
yes, but there are also other reports from sources closer to thee Bucks who have said the same thing.
Dame, we're gonna need you to get 60 tonight please, thanks
Heāll give us 55 in the first half and 5 in the second.
Fine with it, assuming that would put the halftime score in a demoralizing state for the Pacers they might not have it in them to make a second half comeback
We made a pact with the devil for the 2021 run
Honestly worth it tho š
Yeah. Even if they never win another chip in my lifetime, that was such a transcendent run and is literally one of the highlights of my life, lol.
yup its looking like that is the price we paid. Piss away prime giannis and still serviceable dame years for winning the chip, Ya almost had another chance!!!!!!!! the injury gods taketh away
I would guess Khris plays unless that ankle really took a turn for the worse given he played 30+ minutes on it post injury on the other hand, if he doesn't play, it may simply force the issue of AJJ minutes
Last time he sprained his ankle he was out for several weeks. Playing on a sprained ankle probably made it baloon up even worse.
And risk him being out for half a season again next year? It's just bad luck, I say shut it down, and get everyone's ducks in a row and let it burn, and just come out swinging next year. He does at times resemble the rusted up tin man from wizard of oz with a super silky jumpshot
Yeah I mean he is still a good shooter/scorer, but the guy is washed movement wise.
I mean, he played 30 minutes and hasn't missed the game yet. Sitting out of practice means very little to a 12 year vet.
Can we get GloRilla to Indianapolis in four hours?
She's got Maybachs and Gwagons, she can floor it
The fuel stops will make the trip double time
Does anyone know if she's even coming to games at all?
Itās Dame Time āļø

if they handled there business in that stretch against the wizards grizzlies and raptors they could have rested Giannis before that injury smh
Deja fucking vu man. Iām tiredĀ
Do we sit Middleton too and hope for the best game 4?
With Khris potentially out, I wouldn't mind giving young bucks some proper minutes for the defense and energy. We know Crowder has been straight dogshit pretty much since his return. The injury gods giveth, the injury gods taketh.
Dame going for 60

Dame will play good its the other guys on the team that need to step up
So we need 60 from Dame. 40 from Bobby. 20 from Brook and 12 from AJ. I see no problem. Belt to ass confirmed.
Man trade Khris for a few average players who can play more than 15 games in a row
Too late , league knows he's made of glass now
i think the Bucks have probably run into the issue of his return in a trade becoming pretty paltry given his contract which means the most value you'd get out of him is probably holding onto him and hoping for the best. sure, you could get *something* out of him and probably get younger if you traded with the right team but whether or not that trade would do much to help is another conversation (i.e. the team would get younger, but also worse)

Okay maybe they made Giannis play too much this year. But that never really happened with Bud and the closest thing weāve had to a non contact injury other than Giannis calf was Khris slipping against the bulls
Had to play them though because we have the worst bench in the entire NBA. There were no other options.
If Doc plays Jae over Ajax tonight imma fucking lose it
Buckle in sweetie, the bus will be starting soon.
Buckle in, sweetie. The bus will be starting soon.
Let's be honest , every time Khris is listed as anything on the injury report hes out. dude is fucking cooked hamburger meat now
Is it the coach or the players at this point I canāt tell. Bucks are lost without Giannas thatās all I know
A team is lost without their all time generational playerš±š±
