Do you feel that you deserve gifts and nice things? How do you feel about yourself? I'm 51 year old mom of a 22f & 20m. I have a mental illness and both of my kids struggled with depression and anxiety. So I kinda have some experience, so I hope I can help. 🥰

Its a mixed feeling...sometimes I feel I deserve better and sometime I feel why am I even getting all this...what happens at the starting of the mostly defines that portion....so yeah theres that

Gifts aren't earned, they are given to those we love. Your parents love you and want to gift you with things that you like. Do you feel guilty because you don't think your parents can afford these things?

Huge-Junket69

Its not like that...its just that feeling of guild thay goes for anything be it some minor fees or be it a big payment...it just sosent go away

GrammyGH

Have you told your parents how you feel?

Huge-Junket69

Na na na....dont wanna spoil their happiness also

Exactly oh my god!!!! When they buy something for me ( + if I am the one who asked for it) I feel that I'm a burden!!!! I don't really need materialistic things, I need emotional support.... Since I'm not getting that, I'm trynna fill the void by these things.... It's weird to say this to people.... CAUSE TECHNICALLY I AM NOT GETTING WHAT I NEED ACTUALLY.... But I am getting what I am asking for.... Idk... Can't explain properly.... Lil weird.... Idk..

Huge-Junket69

I totally understand and feel the same...its kinda relieving that i m not the only one going thru it

Why would you feel guilty? The point of a gift is to make you feel loved. If you feel guilty, you demean the gift.

Huge-Junket69

Its not that i am not happy i got what i asked for....but its a mixed emotion with both happiness and guilt
