Yes, golden elastics are found in the first release dolls, and I think stiff joints are normal-ish.
But if you want to loosen them up some, I’ve read that dipping them in hot water can help. (But don’t take my word for it; I’d suggest doing some research before doing anything.)

stiff joints are super common with elastic dolls, i’d recommend just treating them very very carefully and not really moving them
Good to know! Honestly i never quite understood how ppl managed to crack limbs and now i totally get it, these gals are pretty brittle after 14 yrs
