Funny. I remember this building. Could be a cool gay club πŸ˜œπŸ˜‚

Nice! My homophobic father helped build the original chapel before the massive remodel in 1990. It's nice to see his legacy get sold off!

Given the area it will probably be rezoned, demolished and become multi-family housing

dually3

Since the church won't do anything to house the homeless, it'll be great to see a building torn down and turned into housing :).

oliver-kai

It won't be cheap housing because of the area, but at least it will relieve some of the pressure... and besides that, the city of Los Angeles requires every builder of a large complex to provide some units for lower income people.

"Additional seating in basketball court." Fixed it.

Mar Vista is practically within spitting distance from the Los Angles Temple.

SkyJtheGM

Makes it even more tempting to make it a gay club.

chewbaccataco

So this one is for the building? It doesn't specify that you have to demolish it?

hyrle

Usually only the Morridor/Utah ones require that. Or unsafe ones. And often safety is the reason Utah ones get sold.

No cross, must not be a Christian church πŸ˜‚

Silly NeverMo question - what's with the 4 closets in the Relief Society room? https://preview.redd.it/vgo2psbw1zad1.jpeg?width=1564&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0c67bcc5b6a605afa03ab7e61c188bd8fcf1a658

Each ward had an assigned closet where each Relief Society presidency kept supplies/decorations for each ward’s relief society. Each RS Presidency had keys only to their closet
