I hate everything about her. I hate what she added to the lore, I hate her design, I hate her boss fight.
There was genuinely nothing added with her that I liked.
I didn’t like Geras in mk11, I thought he was a boring generic jobber character.
I liked his gameplay and thought it was neat and then was almost immediately annoyed by how strong he was and how often I saw him online.
I like him better in Mk1 overall.
I don't hate him. I dislike MK1 Havik. He had a decent background and story and they conjoined Dairou with and ditched the Chaosrealm. Why is there an Orderrealm then? He's whiny and inconsistent story wise.

Absolutely astonishing to me that so many MK “fans” love it as much as they do. I absolutely understand the need to introduce the audience to a new world through a characters eyes who is in turn experiencing it the first time. Having them be the doorway for the audience makes perfect sense, however, any existing MK character from earth can play this role… we don’t need cole. No one does.
I feel bad for the actor because he was so passionate about his work. Not his fault that he had to take a paycheck for a shitty role that was obviously a brainchild of “WB management”. I felt like Cole Young was literally like watching a main from Disney Star Wars. lol that’s how forced and terrible the character was.
One thing going for him is that he isn’t a full on Mary Sue like Alice in the “Resident Evil” movies.
Also, I heard rumors that he has a reduced role in the next film.
It's worse when, after doing that, they just quit the match. Losing is one thing, getting back shots is another, but having your opponent quit after words is a whole other level of evil

In my opinion it removes the best parts of Having. He's a jobber. He needed an interesting and threatening backstory. Now he's just a guy who can't die fighting guys he can't kill, instead of the tip of the iceberg that used to be a realm FULL of chaos.
D'Vorah - Killed Scorpion without any consequences and then just peaced out of the story.
Nitara - Seasonal tower Nitara, after level 50, can go fuck herself. She takes way too long to beat.
D'Vorah is definitely a heat generator... she even kills Baraka *and* Mileena in MKX.
Although... and I might get disliked for this... those two dying, I could live with; Kotal wanted D'Vorah to finish Baraka off (and really, it was an immediate matter of deposing Mileena), and I felt no sympathy for Mileena in the Netherrealm TL, so aside from being disgusted by how she was killed, I didn't feel much when D'Vorah puked flesh-eating bugs into Mileena's mouth.
But Scorpion... I still can't believe they let her get away with that one. That's Ed Boon's favorite character, and he just *let* D'Vorah...
I personally think D'Vorah is cool in MKX, though. I thought it was ballsy to introduce a character who could effortlessly defeat and kill two popular characters (albeit villainous characters) all the while being a duplicitous backstabber in service to Quan Chi and Shinnok. But in MK11, her karma houdini status is genuinely annoying. Scorpion dying and D'Vorah just getting away with it is the straw that broke the camel's back.
Well, perhaps the ONLY good aspect of the MK multiverse timeline crossover shenanigans is there are so many timelines that all of our faves’ can exist in the present time. That’s my copium for my boy Fuj 😝
Frost has none of my sympathy. She's just a boastful weakling who betrayed her master because she didn't wanna listen to what he had to say, and lashed out at him by *cyberizing* the entire Lin Kuei. Sickening.
Even Shao Kahn has no respect for her. That says something when the #1 most evil bastard in the series says that a street urchin (likely Skarlet) could do better than her.
Jacqui, literally the most bland, boring, nothing character in the franchise. I would say she’s as dull as cardboard but that would be an insult to cardboard. She’s worse than Cole Young. Yeah, I said it.
Jacqui just has very little going on, personality, style, or arc wise. Without a flashy MK visual design to hook you, you would ideally want a memorable personality to sell the character to the audience, like Johnny or Cassie. Instead, she's just super normal. She's confident and upbeat, but she's surrounded by Cassie, Takeda, and Kung Jin, who are all smarmier and cockier than her. Overall, she just doesn't stand out in a franchise chock-full of characters that *really* stand out.
IMO, the real appeal of Jacqui is her gameplay. In MKX she is one of the most fun to play rushdown characters in the game, and her design *does* convey her playstyle pretty well.
This is so funny because my little brother mains her in the later titles and I find it to be so random. I come from an MK enjoying family and all of us dog him for it when we play. Shes just kind of there. Jax would make more sense lmfao
Kronika. I've been with this franchise since 93, I first saw the MK1 cabinet then and have loved it ever since. You could fairly call me a fanboy, and I'd have a hard time arguing that with you because MK is the only franchise I can point to and say that their "worst" characters, to me, are just fine. I don't hate a single character, until MK11 where we got Kronika, what the hell is she? She looks like a rejected Mass Effect character for 1, and for 2 she's introducing this whole new lore that makes zero sense and has never been explained properly at all. Onaga, the One Being, the Elder Gods, all of that made sense, but Titans? Where do they fit in? What's even worse is that in MK11, Geras serves as her minion when in fact HE should've been the keeper of time in the first place! He has time manipulation abilities that are used in game, his whole deal about being a permanent fixture of time is a really cool idea and presents a great deal of threat to the cast. Kronika was outdone by her own minion in abilities that she should've had. You know, Dark Kahn sucked, he really did, but at the very, VERY least his gimmick about the more you fight, the more powerful he becomes, in concept not execution, is a good idea for a boss, but Kronika? Her time powers were completely wasted, which leaves us with just her lore and oh man what a lore that is. She's restarted history so many times because Raiden and Liu Kang have foiled her evil plans each time, well that's a compelling villain then, isn't it? Nice to know that our main heroes have bested her however many thousand times already, I have no reason to think that won't happen again here. Shao Kahn was pretty much undefeated by the time MK2 happened, which made him a huge threat, and Onaga was only beaten because he was poisoned, but before that he was just as unkillable as Shao Kahn, but Kronika, oh we keep kicking her ass, so now this time it'll be different. What the hell does she bring to the table? What was the point of this character? Oh, wait, she was the mother of Shinnok and Cetrion..... What the hell?!?! So, she is capable of having kids is our titan keeper of time now? Well, who the hell is the daddy? And what does this add to the story? The Elder Gods can have parents now? Do they all have parents? Are they all Titans? Does that make Cetrion and Shinnok Titans? This revelation is nothing, she added nothing! Just this whole new lore that is never explained, has no connection to the Elder Gods or the One Being, apart from being mommy to 2 Elder Gods which is dumb, her abilities were done better by Geras, she got her ass kicked thousands of times previously before we even meet her, her appearance was ripped from a whole other franchise, I can't point to a single thing this character added that didn't completely break things. Just the worst, worse than Dark Kahn, and that's bad.

I guess overall, Quan Chi has always been at the top of my shit list. Man’s an absolute bastard and got exactly what he deserved in MKX. But there’s also something about MK1 Kitana that I don’t really like. I think she’s a bit more smug than she was in MK11.
MK1 Raiden. They went too far in trying to make him an archetypal hero and made him bland as styrofoam. His voice acting sounds AI generated. He also doesn't have any similarity to the original character.
If he's back for MK2 (MK13?) I hope they give him some actual personality or conflict.

Cole Young. Firstly, do you realize how effing uncool that name is…? Also, what are his abilities…? Why the hell was Arcana a thing…? The actor was good and he was hella fine, but my god that character made me want to rip my testicles off… 🙄
To be honest, Sub Zero in MK1. Never been a huge fan of him in past games, but this is definitely his worst. He is so edgy to the point that it’s cringe. He 100% has one of the worst fan bases in the mk community along with Jade and Mileena. As an overall character he’s cool and iconic, but in this game they messed him up completely in my opinion.
This is why I prefer Kuai Liang as Sub-Zero...
Bi-Han has more or less always been an asshole, but MK1 just swapped his role with that of Sektor from MK9. Just as heartless, allowed the death of his grandmaster (who is also his father), overall a disgusting personality.
Not to mention how he even plans on killing his own brother *before* he becomes Noob Saibot. Are you kidding?
I like pretty much every character besides Kano. He has taken up was too many roster slots for a gross character who does fuckall. He's actively held every other Black Dragon character back as well as Sonya narratively. Hopefully they base future portrayals on the 2021 movie Kano and have him do something new when he returns.
Reiko from MK1 - because he is buggy as hell. I don't know if anybody else has this issue but he keeps doing that same move back-to-back where he basically pins a character to the ground and punches their face a few times, so it has annoyed me to the point where I can't stand him.
Kung Jin - Personally, he was the most boring kombat kid to me. Like I really enjoyed Takeda, Cassie, and even Jacqui and enjoyed learning their stories. I thought it was nice that some of the older characters got children (I wish some of the others did as well) but Kung Jin's story I just could never follow well and he was pretty forgettable to me. Plus he was just a huge dick and that annoyed me a lot.

But in all seriousness, I only really like Mileena in the New Era timeline. Not really a big fan of her in the Netherrealm Trilogy.
Hmm. I love Kotal Kahns design but hate what they did with his character. I have also always hated Movado. The original and the new Cirque du Soleil version of him
MK11 Mileena felt very forced in the game as fan service. I thought it was a far more slow paced game compared to X and felt she didn’t belong in it for that reason.
Quan chi I will admit he’s not bad alone but the problem is there are just characters who do all he does but better and having a character who won’t be as menacing or sadistic as Shao as cunning or evil as Shang as annoying as kronika as brutal and crazy as havik and a thousand other things he lacks I can’t even say he’s the easiest to hate or the most annoying when dovra exists like he genuinely disappoints me but he’s not even the best at that because shinnok is a bigger disappointment like what is this

\*Ferra: Also annoying voice (and voiced by a bad person), and lets Torr be the punching bag for all the X-Rays and Fatalities
\*Cassie and Jacqui: Literally just Johnny and Jax but girl. And the fact that they returned in 11 over Takeda and Kung Jin is a crime!

I’ll admit as Noob Saibot I can stand him because I think he makes a great villain, but there’s a subset of fans who hang onto mythologies like it’s the bible and thus prop him up as the jesus of mortal kombat. He was Sub-Zero in the first game then died. His whole story is basically as Noob Saibot but some fans just won’t let it go. He’s not a hero. Never was. He also seemed to attract THE most childish fanbase in this particular game. So yeah not a fan. They can’t kill him and make him Noob quick enough imo.
Cassie Cage. I hate the kombat kids’ storyline. Never liked them except for Takeda. But even so- it’s such a stretch for 50 year old Johnny to be fighting alongside 20 year old Cassie.

First of all she’s just GROSS. I mean beyond normal mk levels of gross. Her sound effects, skin, movements, fatalities.. just anything and anytime she’s on screen I am GROSSED OUT TO THE MAX! Effing disgusting!
Secondly they tried WAY TOO HARD to push her as a new threat… she killed off SO MANY CHARACTERS some of which people wanted more than her *cough cough* baraka.
They even go so far as to RETROACTIVELY force this gross bug bitch into the history of mortal kombat! She wasn’t there, like ugh it REEKS of “please like this new character” and I HATE IT
Also she’s just…. A doorway to so much horrible fandom mentalities. There is so much and so many other characters that we could focus on and delve into but NO! Let’s focus on the lore and world building of this new, gross, self insert, FETISH SATISFYING HORROR BAG!
and finally she’s INCOMPETENTLY written! Her dialogue switches perspective between “me” and “this one” too often.
In conclusion
I hope her or her lore or anything of her character or being EVER return and if that’s the case it’ll be too friggin soon!

She was one of my mains in MKX, all of her variations felt fun to play. She felt like a downgrade gameplay-wise in MK11, imo.
I think she is one of the more interesting newcomers introduced. That being said, I do agree that her implementation in the story wasn’t great. Especially when it came to killing off fan favourite characters (the most egregious example being Scorpion, who should’ve been killed by Noob like others have noted.)
I’d be down for her or another Kytinn character if they can find a way to include them in some sort of meaningful fashion.
There was absolutely no reason to bring kung lao back into the franchise he’s the most annoying character and his cousin or “nephew” kung Jin is even worse kung Lao was tolerable in mk9 he was dead in mkx so it doesn’t count he he is absolutely insufferable in mk11 and mk1

Netherrealm TL Frost.
Is introduced in MKX attacking Scorpion because her master Sub-Zero wants to enact a truce between the Shirai Ryu and Lin Kuei.
Gets taken out in two hits by Scorpion, then is frozen by Sub-Zero, not doing her many points for skill.
Later shows up having turned against Sub-Zero entirely, having cyberized herself and a majority of the Lin Kuei.
Joins up with Kronika, then stupidly throws her Cyber Assassin army away because she's a horrible leader.
**Fuck Frost.** She deserves all the fatalities in the world.

Any of the kombat Kids. Just didn't care for any of them. Their lore is weak af (minus tak) and they just aren't as cool as the original predecessors
MK1 Nitara, for blatantly obvious reasons. It’s like Megan Fox read off every word whilst not giving a fake cardboard cutout of a fuck about context, or what any of it all means. No research went into the lore of the character or MK franchise, she just told herself, “Yaaasss, I’m a hot vampire chick,” then proceeded to wing it, no pun intended. But speaking of wings tho, WHY TF DO THEY DISAPPEAR, the second she’s beaten??? It was bad enough in the last game with Sheeva going bald and Kotal’s head piece losing all its feathers, among other ridiculous vanishing acts, but MK11 at least kept the anatomies consistent. Not MK1 tho, if Nitara loses, turns out she was just a human cosplaying as a winged vampiress the whole time. I know Red Bull GIVES you wings, but what could cause them to vanish completely? It’s a mystery to me. The lack of effort that went into MK1 Nitara, all across the board, makes me genuinely DESPISE her. It costs $7 to add a character to the roster, and I would gladly pay double that to remove her ass. I really would! But she better be as missing as her wings when the announcer says “Finish Her!” I think there’s real microtransaction potential there WB $$$
I do not care for Shao Khan. I get it, he’s like, the big bad over the big bad, but to me, Mortal Kombat’s main villain has *always* been Shang Tsung. It’s not even his more recent depictions either, like I just look at Shao Khan and see some blowhard in too little clothing.
Shang Tsung was simple back in MK92. Goro was the real main boss.
Shao Khan was literally a BOSS by every definition of the word back in 95. He'll always be my favorite MK villain.

Although... and I might get disliked for this... those two dying, I could live with; Kotal wanted D'Vorah to finish Baraka off (and really, it was an immediate matter of deposing Mileena), and I felt no sympathy for Mileena in the Netherrealm TL, so aside from being disgusted by how she was killed, I didn't feel much when D'Vorah puked flesh-eating bugs into Mileena's mouth. But Scorpion... I still can't believe they let her get away with that one. That's Ed Boon's favorite character, and he just *let* D'Vorah... I personally think D'Vorah is cool in MKX, though. I thought it was ballsy to introduce a character who could effortlessly defeat and kill two popular characters (albeit villainous characters) all the while being a duplicitous backstabber in service to Quan Chi and Shinnok. But in MK11, her karma houdini status is genuinely annoying. Scorpion dying and D'Vorah just getting away with it is the straw that broke the camel's back.
D'Vorah and Frost, mostly cause they're annoying as hell to fight but their characters don't really do a lot of good either imo.

Jacqui, literally the most bland, boring, nothing character in the franchise. I would say she’s as dull as cardboard but that would be an insult to cardboard. She’s worse than Cole Young. Yeah, I said it.
Jacqui just has very little going on, personality, style, or arc wise. Without a flashy MK visual design to hook you, you would ideally want a memorable personality to sell the character to the audience, like Johnny or Cassie. Instead, she's just super normal. She's confident and upbeat, but she's surrounded by Cassie, Takeda, and Kung Jin, who are all smarmier and cockier than her. Overall, she just doesn't stand out in a franchise chock-full of characters that *really* stand out. IMO, the real appeal of Jacqui is her gameplay. In MKX she is one of the most fun to play rushdown characters in the game, and her design *does* convey her playstyle pretty well.
Playing as Jacqui is fun. I tried Jax in MK11, he did not feel the same at all. His inputs are very different.

Kronika. I've been with this franchise since 93, I first saw the MK1 cabinet then and have loved it ever since. You could fairly call me a fanboy, and I'd have a hard time arguing that with you because MK is the only franchise I can point to and say that their "worst" characters, to me, are just fine. I don't hate a single character, until MK11 where we got Kronika, what the hell is she? She looks like a rejected Mass Effect character for 1, and for 2 she's introducing this whole new lore that makes zero sense and has never been explained properly at all. Onaga, the One Being, the Elder Gods, all of that made sense, but Titans? Where do they fit in? What's even worse is that in MK11, Geras serves as her minion when in fact HE should've been the keeper of time in the first place! He has time manipulation abilities that are used in game, his whole deal about being a permanent fixture of time is a really cool idea and presents a great deal of threat to the cast. Kronika was outdone by her own minion in abilities that she should've had. You know, Dark Kahn sucked, he really did, but at the very, VERY least his gimmick about the more you fight, the more powerful he becomes, in concept not execution, is a good idea for a boss, but Kronika? Her time powers were completely wasted, which leaves us with just her lore and oh man what a lore that is. She's restarted history so many times because Raiden and Liu Kang have foiled her evil plans each time, well that's a compelling villain then, isn't it? Nice to know that our main heroes have bested her however many thousand times already, I have no reason to think that won't happen again here. Shao Kahn was pretty much undefeated by the time MK2 happened, which made him a huge threat, and Onaga was only beaten because he was poisoned, but before that he was just as unkillable as Shao Kahn, but Kronika, oh we keep kicking her ass, so now this time it'll be different. What the hell does she bring to the table? What was the point of this character? Oh, wait, she was the mother of Shinnok and Cetrion..... What the hell?!?! So, she is capable of having kids is our titan keeper of time now? Well, who the hell is the daddy? And what does this add to the story? The Elder Gods can have parents now? Do they all have parents? Are they all Titans? Does that make Cetrion and Shinnok Titans? This revelation is nothing, she added nothing! Just this whole new lore that is never explained, has no connection to the Elder Gods or the One Being, apart from being mommy to 2 Elder Gods which is dumb, her abilities were done better by Geras, she got her ass kicked thousands of times previously before we even meet her, her appearance was ripped from a whole other franchise, I can't point to a single thing this character added that didn't completely break things. Just the worst, worse than Dark Kahn, and that's bad. It goes: Kronika; 0/10 Dark Kahn; 2/10 Every other character in MK history - 4/10 and up. What a giant waste......... Cole Young; -73/10, yeah that's what MK needed, its own Resident Evil Alice, bugger off.

To be honest, Sub Zero in MK1. Never been a huge fan of him in past games, but this is definitely his worst. He is so edgy to the point that it’s cringe. He 100% has one of the worst fan bases in the mk community along with Jade and Mileena. As an overall character he’s cool and iconic, but in this game they messed him up completely in my opinion.
This is why I prefer Kuai Liang as Sub-Zero... Bi-Han has more or less always been an asshole, but MK1 just swapped his role with that of Sektor from MK9. Just as heartless, allowed the death of his grandmaster (who is also his father), overall a disgusting personality. Not to mention how he even plans on killing his own brother *before* he becomes Noob Saibot. Are you kidding?
I like pretty much every character besides Kano. He has taken up was too many roster slots for a gross character who does fuckall. He's actively held every other Black Dragon character back as well as Sonya narratively. Hopefully they base future portrayals on the 2021 movie Kano and have him do something new when he returns.

Reiko from MK1 - because he is buggy as hell. I don't know if anybody else has this issue but he keeps doing that same move back-to-back where he basically pins a character to the ground and punches their face a few times, so it has annoyed me to the point where I can't stand him. Kung Jin - Personally, he was the most boring kombat kid to me. Like I really enjoyed Takeda, Cassie, and even Jacqui and enjoyed learning their stories. I thought it was nice that some of the older characters got children (I wish some of the others did as well) but Kung Jin's story I just could never follow well and he was pretty forgettable to me. Plus he was just a huge dick and that annoyed me a lot.

He was Sub-Zero in the first game then died. His whole story is basically as Noob Saibot but some fans just won’t let it go. He’s not a hero. Never was. He also seemed to attract THE most childish fanbase in this particular game. So yeah not a fan. They can’t kill him and make him Noob quick enough imo.

Her sound effects, skin, movements, fatalities.. just anything and anytime she’s on screen I am GROSSED OUT TO THE MAX! Effing disgusting! Secondly they tried WAY TOO HARD to push her as a new threat… she killed off SO MANY CHARACTERS some of which people wanted more than her *cough cough* baraka. They even go so far as to RETROACTIVELY force this gross bug bitch into the history of mortal kombat! She wasn’t there, like ugh it REEKS of “please like this new character” and I HATE IT Also she’s just…. A doorway to so much horrible fandom mentalities. There is so much and so many other characters that we could focus on and delve into but NO! Let’s focus on the lore and world building of this new, gross, self insert, FETISH SATISFYING HORROR BAG! and finally she’s INCOMPETENTLY written! Her dialogue switches perspective between “me” and “this one” too often. Personally, I like her because monstrous characters in fighting games are cool. She was one of my mains in MKX, all of her variations felt fun to play. She felt like a downgrade gameplay-wise in MK11, imo. I think she is one of the more interesting newcomers introduced. That being said, I do agree that her implementation in the story wasn’t great. Especially when it came to killing off fan favourite characters (the most egregious example being Scorpion, who should’ve been killed by Noob like others have noted.) I’d be down for her or another Kytinn character if they can find a way to include them in some sort of meaningful fashion.

Netherrealm TL Frost. Is introduced in MKX attacking Scorpion because her master Sub-Zero wants to enact a truce between the Shirai Ryu and Lin Kuei. Gets taken out in two hits by Scorpion, then is frozen by Sub-Zero, not doing her many points for skill. Later shows up having turned against Sub-Zero entirely, having cyberized herself and a majority of the Lin Kuei. Joins up with Kronika, then stupidly throws her Cyber Assassin army away because she's a horrible leader. **Fuck Frost.** She deserves all the fatalities in the world.

It’s a mystery to me. The lack of effort that went into MK1 Nitara, all across the board, makes me genuinely DESPISE her. It costs $7 to add a character to the roster, and I would gladly pay double that to remove her ass. I really would! I do not care for Shao Khan. I get it, he’s like, the big bad over the big bad, but to me, Mortal Kombat’s main villain has *always* been Shang Tsung. It’s not even his more recent depictions either, like I just look at Shao Khan and see some blowhard in too little clothing.
Shang Tsung was simple back in MK92. Goro was the real main boss. Shao Khan was literally a BOSS by every definition of the word back in 95. He'll always be my favorite MK villain.
