When I reflect on it, I set that aside and relish instead, the frenzied hilarity of these fidgety, sex-obsessed professors. Bates is astounding in his energy. The way he chain-smokes, etc

The half of it
God’s Own Country is not lighthearted and is sad in places but ultimately really uplifting. It’s incredibly well made too.

I recall Butley having funny moments but being pretty dark overall.
