Emperor's New Groove (2000)
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (2005)
Mouse Hunt (1997)
Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl (2003)
I love Beethoven's 2nd! My family watched this so much when I was a kid. We still quote our favorite lines to each other fairly often.
"Floyd, what's that on your head?" "It's a stump! I can't get it off!" "Bend over."
"It helps with my math skills!"
"ALICE! FUDGE!"
There were several that I would watch dozens of times a year:
Mrs. Doubtfire
Shanghai Noon and Shanghai Knights
Harry Potter 1-3
LOTR 1-3
Might be a couple more I’m not remembering
“Masters of the Universe”
My brother and I wore down the VHS tape.
Also took us about 95 viewings before we found out there was a post credits scene ñol
I watched so many movies a fuck ton as a child over and over, but the ones i did the most were the vhs tapes i owned of
The Sandlot
Cats & Dogs
Scooby Doo Ghoul School
the first sailor moon movie :‘) and harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban. i replayed that one scene where harry and hermione get hit by the whomping willow, put my mattress on the floor and acted it out for hours!
All the great Hollywood movies have been named.
The sound of music
Bambi
Jungle book
Sleeping beauty
So here’s my Bollywood list:
Namak Halal - amitabh and shashi kapoor
Do aur do paanch
Naseeb
Sholay
Baat ban jaye - zeenat aman
Kelly's heroes is a core memory to me. I saw it like 100 times, when I was a kid.
It's a side effect, but since I saw it, I'm obsessed with heist movies.
The Thing (1982). I used to watch it every day on VHS when I came home from school, being fascinated with the effects work and pure cinematic brilliance on show.
Had a few on repeat as a child born in the 80s:
-The Never-Ending Story (fast forward through a certain death scene)
-Ghostbusters
-Predator (for when I had a tummy ache)
My two favorite movies that I watched on repeat as a kid, were Beaches and The NeverEnding Story. Both of which I still love. I watched Beaches so much, that I would quote the entire movie as I watched it.. but then my brother made it disappear, lol.
Braveheart, Troy, Gladiator, Rocky, First Blood, Silence of the Lamb, Ransom, Gothika, 187, American History X, The Player's Club, Blood In Blood Out, Scarface, The Godfather, GoodFellas, Pulp Fiction, Courage Under Fire, Catch Me If You Can, Training Day, Taking Lives, Face/Off
Pretty much the same movies I like to watch even now from time to time. We watched these movies over and over again even after I pretty much memorized all the words, facial expressions, and movements as a kid. Yes, I know that these movies are not appropriate for children, but my family believed that the world didn't wait for children to grow up to expose them to bad things and that I would benefit from being aware and seeing the signs beforehand and the consequences after the fact.
For some random fucking reason, I was OBSESSED as a child with a movie called Mannequin 2: On The Move.
Legit have no idea why I loved this movie so much but I would watch it religiously. To this day I have never seen the first one and have never watched the movie as an adult but I remember it being a staple to my childhood.

None. When I was a child (60s/70s), you saw a movie in the theater once (or twice, if you were lucky) and then everyone waited for a couple of years until it came on TV, only to find that it was edited and cut up with commercials.
*cracks knuckles* I grew up with 7 siblings so there were a lot of things on repeat, like, all the time . . .

You got me into filmmaking, special effects, animation, movie music, and robot design. I got a bachelor's degree in film, and made YouTube videos for 10 years.
I would watch The Terminator over and over again. My mother thought it was funny how that was my favorite movie. The problem with her logic was, that was the only movie that wasn’t some heartwarming drama that we owned. I was too young to really get into the adult drama movies. The Terminator was at least more interesting.
Beverly Hills Cop III (1994). Starting in 2004, when I was 4, my older siblings and I would spend the school holidays at my grandma’s place who lived across the country here in Belgium. This was the only movie she had on vcr, and she only had one tv station, which mostly aired news. For some reason, nobody ever got us any other movies to watch. We could’ve just grabbed some vcr’s from home before we left, but no…We spent all of our school holidays watching this movie over and over again multiple times, and we enjoyed it every time…Ahhh good times :D

I love Beethoven's 2nd! My family watched this so much when I was a kid. We still quote our favorite lines to each other fairly often. "Floyd, what's that on your head?" "It's a stump! I can't get it off!" "Bend over." "It helps with my math skills!" "ALICE! FUDGE!"
