Massive Attack are slept on and would definitely encourage checking out the rest of their expansive discography - Mezzanine is a masterpiece and they are the masters of sonic manipulation.
They have also scored films in the past (which you can find on Spotify) and the soundtracks are just excellent.
Blue Lines took a while to get into for me but it suddenly quickly became one of my fav albums of all time. Ritual Spirit EP should never be slept on too.
[Heart of Rock & Roll by Huey Lewis & The News](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jXy2lWgpxM) \- helps that there's a heartbeat sound that opens the song, closes the song, and is heard after the first and second chorus
Honestly, like giving CPR isn't stressful enough already, if I have to sing freaking Baby Shark during it instead of bopping out to some classic rock then dude's going down.
This song was all over the radio when I was a bit of a coke addict and my heart was mostly beating (you guessed it!) like a hammer. Those days are very much in the past but to this day I weirdly have fond memories of Help I’m Alive.
Apparently they almost scrapped it and left it off the album. Then they noticed everyone in the studio humming it to themselves and figured they must be on to something.
The best part of this is how it accelerates with the highs and drops you back down once the high wears off. I think the best version might be the Live 1969 one at Max’s, though the studio version does a plenty good job.
Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush always reminds me of a beating heart. At least my heart rate always aligns with the tempo whenever I listen to that song
Came here to post this so I'll just go ahead and drop a [YouTube link](https://youtu.be/KRW97QbuZ6A?si=xa-bLdRSMreTF8v8) so I'm actually contributing something and people can hear this fantastic song.
Pretty much any reggae band's version of "Rastaman Chant" is quintessential heartbeat rhythm. Here's a link to the Wailers famous rendition https://open.spotify.com/track/1WujDB3odQoKJYJNvhgEGL?si=blRDBdy_Qbm-NRuEVz1m3A
The doors have a lot. Lol. Even in "when the music's over" at one point it is purposely mimicking a heartbeat. Right before he screams "we want the world and we want it".
Five to one is another song of there's that has a very heartbeat type sound.
I can't think of all the songs they use it in but that 1,2,1,2 beat is very common in there music. Put any of there albums in and you'll hear it over and over (in a good way).
This is so specific...
2 years ago or so I was listening to NPR and there was a random bit about how Stayin' Alive by the Beegees rythym is the most close/in line with a heartbeat.
Think of it everything I listen to the song.
I'll try and source a link.

MUSIC TO BE BORN BY by the grateful dead drummer mickey hart is an ambient piece that is made from a sample of his son's prenatal heartbeat. it's a lovely piece of music!

Can't believe I had to scroll so far to see this classic listed. Also used to great effect as a sample for the remixes of De La Soul's ["Buddy"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roATTBZzRyQ) and Ini Kamoze's ["Here Comes the Hotstepper"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0N4twV28Mw)

Not exactly what you would thing but the band Big Wreck has a song called "The Receiving End" that the singer/guitarist used a recording of his daughter's heartbeat as the kick drum that track.

Bat Chain Puller by Captain Beefheart. I’ve heard that it was actually inspired by the rhythm of windshield wipers, but it’s close enough to a heartbeat to count
[Heart by Plini](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBztSKccrDE) is centered around a heartbeat rhythm, and the album art for the single is a giant heart. It's also the name of the song! It's one of the few songs to use a pretty realistic heartbeat rhythm, which is incredibly tricky to reproduce.
Disease by Matchbox 20 has a very deliberate heartbeat rhythm in the first verse. It escalates into a really rocking groove by the middle of the song. I think it’s very cleverly done.
Teardrop by Massive Attack
Man that songs awesome, I remember never skipping the intro to House M.D. cause of it
Massive Attack are slept on and would definitely encourage checking out the rest of their expansive discography - Mezzanine is a masterpiece and they are the masters of sonic manipulation. Stayin’ Alive by The Bee Gees. It’s the tempo at which CPR should be administered. Edit: Spelling
It's very ironic that Another One Bites the Dust also fits the tempo
"At first I was afraid, I was petrified...".
You were in the parking lot earlier, that’s how I know you!
They teach "Baby Shark" as the tempo now unfortunately.
If it makes you feel better last year i was Rick Rolled by my cpr instructor
Honestly, like giving CPR isn't stressful enough already, if I have to sing freaking Baby Shark during it instead of bopping out to some classic rock then dude's going down.
"Oh, sorry... You're going to die."
How do you misspell CPR?
