There's lots of synthwave out there that makes me feel like I'm in a dream too. iamMANOLIS is one artist I like to put on shuffle. It might be more nostalgia for me though because it reminds me of hanging out at malls in the 90s and my parents and family members coming out of the 80s when I was a kid lol.

Meltdown and Scoring the End of the World by Motionless in White
those songs always remind me I am in the movie Don't Look Up and other post-apocalyptic movies
It's funny because I actually have a playlist called "making a movie" that I would hypothetically dedicate to a movie soundtrack.
Some songs on the playlist:
This Wild Darkness - Moby
oh baby - LCD Soundsystem
In The Kingdom - Mazzy Star
Song For You - Rhye
Off You - The Breeders
Perth - Beirut
Excursions - A Tribe Called Quest
Seabird - Alessi Brothers
Sweet Thing - Van Morrison
Beautiful Strangers - Kevin Morby
Young Lust - Pink Floyd
Ooh La La - Faces
Spinning Away - Brian Eno
Alone - The Cry
This is the Day - The The
San Francisco Knights - People Under The Stairs
She Got The Bomb - Billylildove
Straight To Hell - The Clash
The Smashing Pumpkins have a lot of songs that fit this bill-
“Cupid de Locke”
“Crush”
“Rocket”
“Porcelina of the Vast Oceans” (this feels like a mini movie in and of itself)
“To Sheila”
“Galapagos”
“Luna”
“Obscured”
“By Starlight”
“Behold! The Night Mare”
Heck even “Tonight Tonight” (Watch the music video if you haven’t)
To me they are a definitively cinematic and dreamscape-y band, sonically especially (lots of shoegaze and chamber pop influence, but also metal and prog rock etc, it’s what makes them unique)
Tommee Profitt makes stuff that sounds cinematic. I personally recommend his covers of Smells Like Teen Spirit and Thunderstruck but also he has a song called Enemy that's good too.
Strangers by Ethel Cain, or any of the songs off of preachers daughter. Im immediately transported into a movie when I listen to that album. (Especially if you know the story)
Elevator music as it is the same thing on top forty just no vocals and made with tones and you have no idea who the cast members getting on and in there with you may be and everyone typically has the same motivation the entire time yet acts slightly differently with it.
I'm shocked, no one suggested Pink Floyd-- Dark Side of the Moon, Momentary Lapse Of Sanity, Division Bell, Wish You Were Here, possibly the Wall.
I'd also dig through ELO (Electric Light Orchestra)
Laura Palmer's Theme - Twin Peaks
Hunnid emoji.
Here ya go https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-eqgr_gn4k
Audrey’s Theme Most everything by Angelo Badalamenti tbh.
Silent lucidity Queensryche Computer eyes Ayreon
Pm dawn id die without you
A stunning song. Takes me back to nineties when I was a teenager and dreaming of the hot girl at school as my girlfriend.
In fact, I’m off to disconnect and listen to it now. 😊
Radiohead - Nice Dream
The greatest musical turn since Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want.
Heroin- Lana del Rey
Future soul song - Prince Blue Hair - TV Girl Love me more - dosii I’d Rather Sleep - Kero Kero Bonito Fairy of Shampoo - TxT All of Cocteau Twins album “Heaven or Las Vegas”

It’s fine I have Spotify, I just use Apple Music because it’s better than no premium Spotify, I’ll give that a listen and pick out some stuff I like
Ok, but there are no instrumentals, I'm a fan of good vocals. Still maybe you'll pick something.
Most of what I have on the playlist right now isn’t instrumentals, so it’s fine
