I second this. Some might find Nirvana a questionable choice but a load of their songs are inspired by the Beatles. Also a good gateway into heavier music.
White Stripes is probably next if you’re moving up chronologically from those influences. I recommend *White Blood Cells* as a great entry point.
Gram Parsons if you’re interested in something older but related to the Stones/Dylan/Young part of your tastes that also gives you a little exposure to country.
*Sweetheart of the Rodeo* is a great entry point, from the time was a member of The Byrds. His solo stuff *Grievous Angel* and *GP* is a peak (not just because he died around then) of his songwriting and is a great intro to Emmylou Harris’ voice. His other bands, International Submarine Band and the Flying Burrito Brothers, are great too but probably not as an introduction.
Maybe branch out into Power Pop stuff if you want more of the Beatles sound combined with the Stones/Young/Dylan. From the ‘70s try Big Star. From the ‘90s try Teenage Fanclub (*Bandwagonesque* is a great entry point, their later stuff up to today is more mellow). From the past few years, try Alvvays (*Blue Rev* is a good entry point).
Finally, try *Pet Sounds* by The Beach Boys. This is one of the first great albums that was a coherent whole, really drove the Beatles to innnovate more, and is just so damn beautiful on its own merits.
*Pet Sounds* is also great introduction to the Wall of Sound production style, which might lead you to explore things like the records Phil Spector produced in the ‘60s and ‘70s or the shoegaze genre that first emerged in the late 80s and the 90s, and is emerging again now.
Listen to Tool --- Lateralus....
Straight through...maybe some lyrics standing by for clarity and understanding...
The other suggestions in this post are fine too, they seem more like what you are already listening to..
The goo goo dolls, counting crows, third eye blind, alice in chains, staind, creed, nickelback, 3 doors down, candlebox, fleetwood mac, kid rock, matchbox 20, red hot chili peppers, pearl jam, metallica, bob seger, puddle of mud, elton john.
Look into the Doom Metal category.
Specifically psychedelic doom/stoner scene.
Bands I recommend:
Orchid
Black Rainbows
Beastmaker
Acid Mammoth
Uncle Acid and The Deadbeats
If you’re liked some of the heavier stuff that Led Zeppelin and Rolling Stones put out then try checking out [Pallbearer.](https://pallbearer.bandcamp.com/album/sorrow-and-extinction-2) This band takes heavy influence from proto-metal and the early workings of what would later become metal.
For sure, they're IMHO one of the most influential and under appreciated bands ever. As is The Band, musicians and old heads know but most folks have no idea and have probably heard Cripple Creek or some Little Feat and don't realize who they are. Great stuff, gotta throw Zappa in to keep it weird too.
Excellent music, Waiting For Columbus is one of the finest live albums ever recorded, just as Music From Big Pink should be required listening. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not attempting to indoctrinate everybody into music we enjoy, but I agree, more people should give this type of music a try, you can’t fail…and by all means, keep the Zappa
Dope Lemon - kinda between a Neil Young and Bob Dylan sound - check out his songs Coyote and Marinade
Edit to add: Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros - This Life and Man on Fire are two songs you might like
The War on Drugs
The Stone Roses - On the second Stone Roses album John Squire was trying to play like Jimmy Page then on The Seahorses album it was more rock guitar and on the new Liam Gallagher & John Squire album even more rock guitar

Eyedea.. also atmosphere. That's the two dudes on this song. They are both crazy lyrical and some of my favorite rappers.
https://youtu.be/ELI-0TUyr6U?si=GqWlZFnS04hivLsU
And because you got into eminem lol.. heres a kiss track about eminem from the 90s. by Cage. Cage is pretty crazy but he was really good imo. Him and eminem had an issue with eachother. Eminem took some light jabs at him and here comes cage lmao.
https://youtu.be/PV4PWS3UYps?si=15C_IkLDN4HyM9nG basically eminem was using others people's lines when he first started. He got called out and eminem made a little verse about him then eminem became Slim shady, a crazy person.. just like other people in that time lol. Cage kept going after him for some reason. It's a weird but funny rap beef. Here's another cage song. It's a weeeird song https://youtu.be/Uqir_N9nkTA?si=SBavMRXcdgp8KZrd
For rock. Black keys rubber factory. Album jams, old black keys were awesome. This video is one of my favorites of all time
https://youtu.be/TWnP8FkwfQQ?si=ywcai13oUibOqSxD
Violent femmes- https://youtu.be/AxvDoBD6_vk?si=b0xdoi3bNyIHvJfL cool band, their bass player rips.
And finally my last recommendation. Primus. Primus is insane dude. All great musicians. It's a little heavier, it's kind of like rednecks took Rush and Metallica and mixed them together.
https://youtu.be/AccbAu2KmFg?si=q0N0LYX5O7KmMSRe
And here's just something badass. Freakbass and buckethead. Just looks like a good time lol https://youtu.be/wGcaNBGXvOU?si=EeLzcM4FcPyYK-RJ
Definitely try Pink Floyd, especially their 1971-79 lineup when they were in their prime.
Their early work (1967-70) is also good but it is very different and pretty dependent on taste and preference.
Imagery Machine small artist but absolutely a banger

Beatles - try Badfinger (a Paul McCartney discovery when they were the Iveys, they backed George at the Concert for Bangladesh). Cheap Trick (John Lennon originally recorded "I'm Losing You" with a couple members, but changed his mind before the album release). Harry Nilsson, a good friend of John & Ringo's. Billy Preston, did some of the keyboard work for them.
UFO, specifically the Michael Schenker albums. Also, if you like live albums, try Strangers in the Night, perhaps the greatest live Rock album ever made.
Nick Cave (including Grinderman). Like Neil Young and Dylan, he has an enormous discography to explore and is always experimenting. Doesn’t always hit the mark, but is always interesting. Lots of places to jump in but maybe try Firstborn is Dead, Let Love In, and Abattoir/Lyre for early, middle, and later periods.
Sleater-Kinney. The Woods is the best Led Zeppelin album since Physical Graffiti.
Captain Beefheart. After his first album, people thought the Magic Band was going to be the next Rolling Stones. Van Vliet had other ideas though and made some really original music. Start with Safe as Milk and Clear Spot but be sure to give Trout Mask a listen.
The Band. The Beach Boys. The Velvet Underground. Jimi Hendrix The Zombies, CSN, Eric Clapton, Fleetwood Mac
Stevie Wonder. Sam and Dave. Sam Cooke, The Supremes. Marvin Gaye. Joe Cocker, Nina Simone, Eagles, Bee Gees, George McCrae, Boz Skaggs,
Talking Heads, The Smiths, REM, The Pixies, Jenny Lewis, Rilo Kiley, Belle and Sebastian, Blur, Galaxy 500, Wilco, Pavement, Tame Impala, Tennis, Men I trust,
I’m really digging some new artists that my kids turned me on to:
Sawyer Hill, Hunter Roth, Ole 60, Marcus King (SHREDS a guitar!), Elle King and my old stand-by’s: Shinedown, Seven Mary Three, Bishop Gunn, Bush, Gary Clark Junior (‘Bright Lights” live version) and all of the bands mentioned above.

and Jason Bohnam-drums. Great bluesy rock band!
Nirvana, Rush, and Pink Floyd seem like they may be in your range to try out. Also AJR as they try to combine a Beach boys feel with modern pop in works like their Neotheater Album.
