Nickleback, I think they get a lot of unwarranted hate. They write solid songs and music .formulaic sure but so are a lot of other bands that don’t get the same criticism, yeah I’m looking at you ac/dc . Their album “the long road” is an excellent rock album especially “someday ,flat on the floor and believe it or not are stand out tracks . People just like to jump on the I hate nickleback bandwagon without actually giving them a chance

ResisterTransSister

Since I've been getting a positive response to this post, it's my turn to "come out" with mine. My ex-spouse got me listening to Coldplay. I fell for the nay-sayers who said they "sucked", etc. Honestly, I was skeptical at first. Then, I heard "Yellow", "Fix You", "Clocks", and "The Scientist" and I liked them, and loved my ex more. I still love you her, and listen to Coldplay. Another artist I think can be placed on this list is Eminem. He hasn't made it easy to like him for many people, but he is still a really good artist. From his first single to today he's been criticized, hated, "canceled", and protested. He has always been true to himself, and never too seriously. I think he helped transformed hip-hop, rap, satirical comedy. I also think that needs to turn in a different direction from the old-time gangsta rap, usher it in.

Tricky_Photo2885

I’ll go one more “smashmouth “ has a lot of good fun songs I remember hearing them before everyone got stuck on “all-star “ and then TikTok came and drove it in to the ground. Give their other songs a listen and you’ll be pleasantly surprised

ResisterTransSister

I love smashmouth

viktoriasaintclaire

All star has a great bass line

recksuss

Eminem shook MTV to it's core. He was immediately a hit. He was a lot like 2pac. The media needed someone to blame and they chose him... And he went on to rap about that.

ApprenticeScentless

I don't know if he "shook MTV to its core" - by the time he got famous they were already moving away from music programming. He did really upset prudes, though.

ResisterTransSister

Exactly. I was thinking that same thought. That's why I posted this. I think some people simply don't give bands a chance because of the bad press.

frog980

I think what lost my interest in Nickelback was that they were overplayed when they became mainstream.

Tricky_Photo2885

I mean that happens with any band though, I got tired of nirvana believe it or not

Slopii

Limp Bizkit. They don't take themselves too seriously but the music still slaps.

ResisterTransSister

Very true. They are who they are and not trying to be anyone else. Thanks

Neither_Bag_9673

agreed

ApprenticeScentless

No it doesn't "slap". It's so bad it's hard to listen to, especially Fred's vocals and his attempts at "rapping".

Slopii

Listen to Rearranged my dudes.

BizzackAgaizzn

Just because you don’t like it, doesn’t mean it sucks!

viktoriasaintclaire

Gin Blossoms and Third Eye Blind. Both suffered from overexposure, and not being perceived as “edgy” but the guitar tones are pretty, the melodies are catchy, and the lyric writing is smart. I will die on the hill that new miserable experience and the self titled Third Eye Blind album are great 90s pop rock

ResisterTransSister

I totally agree with everything that you said.

frog980

Gin Blossoms were great IMO. They were popular while I was in high school, and I can relate to a lot of their songs.

Grishinka

Blue also slaps and opens with a banger. Slow motion hasn’t aged super well but ehh.

Unusual_Wolf5824

KISS from 1973 - 1979 I was 6 when the first KISS record was released and discovered them October 29th, 1976, when the Paul Lynde Halloween special aired. Christmas '78 I was 12 and got Double Platinum... Ace Frehley was, and is, my guitar idol. He's playing the casino in my small town of Rochester, WA, in August. I'm looking forward to seeing him live one more time.

ResisterTransSister

I saw KISS 2 times. Both in the 90s. Thanks.

jPck2

Dave Matthews Band. Jam bands aren’t for everyone I know, but introducing people to DMB seems to draw two responses: high praise or absolute hatred. Last night was my 10th time seeing them live (rookie numbers, met a guy in line who was at #135) and my mother (42 shows) got me into them when I was a young teen. I understand why some people don’t appreciate his voice and lyrics, but I will always stand by the fact that he has assembled an incredible crew of musicians. They have such good chemistry on stage and it always makes me happy seeing them enjoy themselves so much

ResisterTransSister

As you called them "jam bands", I was not a huge fan of that, but I didn’t dislike that. I didn’t hate it, though.I know people who followed The Dead, Phish, DMB, etc. It wasn't my thing, but I did like some stuff.

ApprenticeScentless

But The Dead and Phish are generally considered more acceptable than DMB. A lot of people really associate DMB's music and fanbase with frat boy douchebags.

ResisterTransSister

True. I forgot that part.

reillywalker195

Oasis are one of my favourite bands, but a lot of people (mostly Americans from what I've seen) despise them. As a Canadian born in the mid '90s, I've heard Oasis's music throughout my life. Oasis didn't reach the same height of popularity here as in Europe, Australia, or Latin America, but they were definitely popular here and actually had two #1 singles chart here after 1999. "Wonderwall" and "Champagne Supernova" are staples of Canadian rock radio to this day, and "Live Forever", "Supersonic", and "Don't Look Back in Anger" can also be heard on the air; lead singer Liam Gallagher's solo hit "For What It's Worth" can also be heard in grocery stores at least here in British Columbia. The song that convinced me to dive deeper into Oasis's discography was "Stand by Me", which came to me as a YouTube recommendation. I can't name a single favourite song of mine from the band, but one I recommend you give a listen to is "Acquiesce", one of their B-sides from 1995 and the opening track of their B-sides album _The Masterplan_. In terms of genre, Oasis are firmly representative of alternative/indie rock with nods to psychedelic rock, new wave, and other alt/indie artists of their time. To say their music was derivative would admittedly be an understatement, but their ability to make others' musical ideas their own (no doubt underpinned by lead guitarist Noel Gallagher's songwriting techniques) was unparalleled.

LanguageNerd54

Noel could be a piece of crap during interviews, though.

ResisterTransSister

Those are two of my favorite songs from that time. I had heard they weren't well-liked then. I was surprised. Thanks

viktoriasaintclaire

What’s the story morning glory is a classic. people will shit on Wonderwall until you sing it at karaoke and then the whole bar will sing along. :)

123Catskill

I’ve got a couple. Sting. He’s so up himself and is generally considered very uncool and I really don’t think I’d like him as a person. But I loved The Police when I was a kid and he’s made a lot of solo stuff I love as well. I will not admit to this in company. Coldplay. The epitome of uncool bands they are hated with a real passion by so many. But they gave away a 4 track unplugged acoustic CD with a newspaper back in 1999 that I really love. It’s sophisticated and beautiful. Some of their subsequent pop stuff is also pretty great. I will deny this even under oath.

frog980

I love The Police, no one else sings like Sting and no one else drums like Stewart Copeland.

ResisterTransSister

as far as sting and the police, I have to agree I think that he may not be the best person to want to become friends with, but they played great music. U2 also listening listening I think too. I don’t think that anyone would want to hang out with Bono, but you know what, they played good music and I think a lot of that hype about Bono may be true as far as him being a bit pretentious. he’s a humanitarian. I mean he may be pretentious, but he is a humanitarian.

123Catskill

Yeah agree on U2 and Bono. Actung Baby was amazing. Was gonna say you diplomatically avoided mentioning Coldplay but then I saw your ‘coming out’ post so I guess we share that one.

ResisterTransSister

yeah, some people really don’t like them. I admit that I drank that Kool-Aid for a while. then I listen to more and more and I really felt the music

yidabissann

I mean, sting putting the name Mephistopheles in a song and making it work so well is lyrical genius.

ResisterTransSister

I see your handle, 123Catskill, and I think upstate New York? I’m from across the Hudson River from the city of Catskill

123Catskill

Aw no tho I kinda wish I did. I actually live in London :)

blackrigel

Yngwie Malmsteen - neoclassical metal. Many say that his songs are just boring shredding, that they lack emotions, etc. I don't agree with it, he is one of my favourite guitarists, along with Jason Becker and David Gilmour. My first album was Odyssey - I liked some of Rainbow's songs with Joe Lynn Turner and decided to listen to his other albums. My favourite songs: [Crying](https://youtu.be/fdfO4KtXkyU) , [Too Young to Die, Too Drunk to Live](https://youtu.be/bOCd2krON7Y) , [Heathens from the North](https://youtu.be/GNmnSHu0j4Y)

frog980

Stevie Nicks - I know there's a lot of people that can't stand her voice but I absolutely love it. Mickey Thomas era of Jefferson Starship/ Starship. He's got some great vocals. There's a lot of people that didn't like when he took over

icehopper

Burzum - black metal by a pretty infamous murderer and outspoken white supremacist. And just all-around shitty guy. I found the instrumental albums he made while in prison, and something about them just vibed with me. Finding out who made them was a lot to reconcile, but I still enjoy listening to the tunes, I just make sure he doesn't make a cent off it.

ResisterTransSister

Hmm. I can see why the might be all out hates, due to the white supremacy angle, but if they are musically sound,I'll listen. Not for the lyrical content if it's filled with the mindset. Thanks.

icehopper

The lyrics are mostly unintelligible, but I think it's mostly fantasy-inspired black metal stuff, he didn't really start to be outspoken about his beliefs until he went to jail and got famous.

ResisterTransSister

Thanks. That's cool. I look forward to hearing them.

icehopper

Definitely not for everyone, but I appreciate your approach with this question! Hope nobody fights 🙏.

ResisterTransSister

thank you I don’t like it when people get on each other about music or anything for that matter because it turns into something ridiculous and this is about music music supposed to make us happy you know or move us or bring about some kind of emotion. Yes emotion can be passionate and anger and all that stuff but it doesn’t have to be at another person you know so I was just ask that. Should we just be nice to each other you know thank you for saying that

GoldResponsibility27

Radiohead and Weezer. Both bands have been milked and joked about A LOT on the internet, including but not limited to being labeled as “virgin-core”, despite making great music.

ResisterTransSister

both are very good and I love their music thank you very much and yeah, they have been joked about but they are good

Edm_vanhalen1981

Van Halen 1. I heard their new single Dance the Night Away as it premiered on Don Kirschner's Rock Concert in 1979. I was hooked that moment. 2. My favorite song is Unchained from the Fair Warning album. 3. They are a Hard Rock band. 4. I saw them in 1981, 1984, 1991, 1995

ResisterTransSister

Love Van Halen. They are a band that has gone through many transitions over decades, and contraversy within and outside the band. But, always good music.

Shot_Awareness6943

One of my coworkers has Jump as his ringtone and I wanna bop him every time he gets a phone call. I went on vacation in central America and went to a sea shell stand where the man paints shells. He had Jump playing. Cannot escape it. Overall I do not mind VH but damn does jump make me wanna jump

Edm_vanhalen1981

I get it. I have always hated that song.

Shot_Awareness6943

Otherwise they do have some good songs and are a talented band! Even some of Wolfgang's stuff I have also enjoyed

Edm_vanhalen1981

They do have some stinkers, but the majority of their catalogue is incredible.

frog980

I like the first two eras of Van Halen. Most only like DLR or Sammy but I just don't compare the two cause it's almost like two different bands but sort of the same. I don't think they would have had much more success with DLR anyways and Sammy kept them viable into the early 90's

Edm_vanhalen1981

You have a healthy attitude about them. It was always the music for me, and there was great songs in all the era's of the band so I don't ever complain.

No_Highlight3671

I love brokencyde! It was definitely an acquired taste but they grew on me. I’m also a scene kid, so that’s part of it. But when I search them up I just see them on the horrible music wiki or threads saying theyre terrible. They’ve also been deemed to have the worst music apparently. They’re crunkcore, which is like screaming party music in a way. They’re touring again and I wish I could see them. I also like nickelback and remember all the hate they got a decade ago, but don’t know what people think about them now.

ResisterTransSister

I've never heard of brokencyde, but I will give them a listen. I'm with you with Nickleback. I read an article a bunch of years ago. Nickleback was at the tail end of the "grunge/alt rock genre and were doomed from the start. I like them. The important thing is we listen to music to feel. If Nickleback brings an emotion and it moves you, so be it. Thanks.

IrresistibleRarity

Dude yes . Shout-out to fellow scene kids all day.. k used to love the song Bree Bree lmfaooo

GLITTERGUTZ22

I’m Sorry by brokencyde has been on my constant repeat for the last few days actually 😂

Timber1508

I'm a huge fan of Band-Maid from Japan. They are world-class, talented musicians with a massive, passionate fan base, but there are also a lot of people who won't give their music a chance because of the visuals. I mean come on, I've heard people say KISS is their all-time favorite band, and in the next breath dismiss Band-Maid as talentless hacks for having a couple of ruffles on their dresses 🙄

UpInSmokeMC

I love the Chainsmokers. Even friends of mine that aren’t super into EDM like songs like Closer and Roses, but many die-hard EDM fans hate them and I don’t get it. Spend some time in r/EDM and you’ll see it.

IrresistibleRarity

I love them too!!!

ResisterTransSister

I’ve heard of the chainsmokers it’s been a while since I’ve listened to him too. Thank you for your contribution.

mik534

I love U2. (mostly for their output during the 80s 90s and early 2000s), but I remain a loyal fan for everything they put out after those years as well. Their live shows are amazing

LekkerOuVanTX

Christian hair metal band , Stryper. Been a fan for decades, and I’m not even a Christian. Michael Sweet is a phenomenal vocalist and they are still putting out amazing music.

ResisterTransSister

They are a great band. I love their music. Thanks.

Timber1508

I saw Stryper at a little club in San Francisco sometime in the 80s. They were epic.

Mindless Self Indulgence.

morbidlyabeast3331

Zebrahead. I found them through a song they did for Sonic 06 (they were huge in Japan at the time, so they got recruited for marketing) when I was like eight or nine years old. I immediately liked their stuff, and it ended up being something I'd come back to time to time for quite a while. They're a really fucking goofy pop punk act, and super corny, but they don't take themselves seriously and always made just really fun music. Their stuff has varied a lot in quality over the years, but some of their albums, like Waste of Mind and Playmate of the Year are genuinely fantastic at what they do.

ResisterTransSister

thank you I will give them a look and listen.

JevGeek55555

I love zebrahead, didn't realize people disliked them

houseofharm

penelope scott! i love her stuff, she singlehandedly carried me through quarantine. her music is hyperpop/bitpop, and she released one song that people didn't like and everyone turned on her music

Velocitor1729

The late 90's Japanese pop-punk band "Judy and Mary." They have great energy, and the guitarist is top-tier. They're seriously one of my top 10 favorite bands. Found them through my old girlfriend, who had a talent for finding cool, quirky unusual stuff.

invalidcharacter19

Winger. Fuck Beavis & Butthead and their creators for single handedly destroying their image. Kip is one of the most musically gifted people in rock. The dude wrote music for symphonies and musicals. He's a hell of a singer too.

Jayfethereal

21 Savage, I didn't really like his music much at all at first but I gave it a really good try and listened to American Dream (thrice), Savage Mode II (twice), and Savage Mode (once). It really took a lot of listening to finally start liking it.

fullmetal66

Waddy Wachtel is a disgusting pervert who got caught with kiddie p0rn but he is still a very important staple the 70s singer songwriter movement of the west coast.

PsychologicalMethod6

From what I read all charges were dropped and nothing was proven

fullmetal66

He pleaded no contest for reduced sentencing

ResisterTransSister

If he plays a good tine, I'll give him a listen. Thank you.

I fully believe the art is greater than the artist.

Cradle of Filth is considered pretty cringe to most metal elitists but they’re actually my favorite band in the genre lol

Nickelback. I legit love their songs and still don't understand the hate.

InformerOfDeer

Pochonbo Electronic Ensemble. Being a north korean propaganda machine they’re obviously not very well liked but they have some bangers

Grishinka

Recommending King Missile to people is pretty much 50/50 “wow!”/ “why is there poetry over music like this”. I told a guy at an open mic he’d love King Missile. Next time I saw him he said “I’m fully in love with this guys stuff and my wife does not like it one bit.” The only song people tend to know is Detachable Penis, which is fine but far from Hall’s best work, I’d start here: https://open.spotify.com/track/54UPoHNQuqAqOQAZ2hl1il?si=wTJf5R2SQvKsYzGGb7TvyQ

ResisterTransSister

I believe I’ve heard of them before. I listened to the tracks that you shared, but I’ve also heard some of those other tracks like I think I remember detachable penis.

NiteGard

Greta Van Fleet. I know they have just as many die-hard fans as they have haters, but I really love these guys. They have continued to carry the raw rock and roll torch forward. Respect. 🫡✌🏼

ResisterTransSister

thank you for contributing to my post. I will definitely get a glimpse of them. I am trying to find different music and I’ve heard of Greta Van Fleet. I just don’t think I’ve listened to them. I like trying new music anyway so I look forward to it. Thank you.q

joeybagadonutz14

If only they didn’t sound or try to sound like zeppelin

theswiftieava

I like that one emo evanescence song, it’s probably considered overplayed for those who were alive during the time period that it was on the radio, and now it’s cringe, but i like to be a little emo hot topic sometimes

CoachKillerTrae

U2 for sure

Fine_Conclusion9426

Tbh I actually like NF and Hobo Johnson. I get that it’s not for everyone and some criticism is fair but a lot of the hate is unwarranted.

ResisterTransSister

I agree with your whole statement. It is so true. I love NF

Harden12345678

AJR is just one of them i guess after looking at all these comments. I can see why some people don't like them but not hate them. I find them to be heartfelt and pretty darn happy sounding. Sure, they have bad songs like Call My Dad which is just a total time waster of a song but a lot of them are still really good. I found them because I think it was Bang! that popped up on my spotify recommedations and just gave it a try. I think my favorite song would have to be Karma.

ApprenticeScentless

Nirvana and The Beatles

SuspiciousFlight995

Duran Duran. Talented band

Putrid_Dot_3683

Babymetal, such a fun band. Their songs are catchy, the music itself is layered, they mash genres together. To me they are the epitome of the perfect band.

Inside-Particular-63

I unironically have listened to creed and nickelback the whole time so probably those two. Maybe limp bizkit but I'm not as big a fan of them as the aforementioned artists.

curry_0000

Morgan Wallen. He’s a huge country artist and probably the most hated. Country seems to already be the most hated genre anyway. But it’s really hard to choose a favorite song. He just drops bangers after bangers. 😮‍💨

CoachKillerTrae

i really dislike his music personally, it’s really cheesy and honestly the epitome of the easy-listening, repetitive state of pop country in this day and age, although i suppose that’s the prompt for this post anyway. when i want to listen to country i’ll throw on some Old Crow Medicine Show or Gillian Welch

curry_0000

Well, you like what you like. But I’ll check out those artists as well, since I’m trying to add more country artists to my radar. :D

CoachKillerTrae

no worries bro! Gillian and OCMS are a bit on the folky side of country, but i love em just the same. :)

curry_0000

Sounds like something I would enjoy. Any song recommendations to start with?

CoachKillerTrae

hmmm, i’d check out Levi by OCMS, That Evening Sun also by OCMS, Annabelle by Gillian Welch, and Wrecking Ball by Gillian Welch. Look At Miss Ohio is another good one by Gillian, has some clever lyrics in there too, “i wanna do right but not right now” has always been pretty funny to me. oh! you should also check out Cumberland Gap by David Rawlings. David and Gillian tour together and they both play on each other’s records, Cumberland Gap is a classic country tune i love that one :)

curry_0000

Thanks I’ll check those out

ResisterTransSister

Thank you.

Superb_Character8707

Imagine Dragons. My top most listened to band.

ResisterTransSister

KEEP IT UP, this is great!!! I want to think everyone who’s participated in this so far. thank you also for keeping it civil. Sometimes I notice that people get really uptight and start going at it and stuff. This was meant to bring out some of the maybe even less known group and artist. And so far what I’ve seen of the ones that have compiled here, pretty much that artist are great. I hope that everyone walks away with something that they learned or are willing to try out or try again. Let’s keep this going. I think that just needed to happen so people can see that you know "some of these artists aren’t bad"or "I’ve never heard of this band before, I think I might give them a try". Anyway, keep it up thank you very much for all of this. This is wonderful. every group every artist every genre that is covered here might change your mind about something so thank you very very much. It has mine changed mine a lot of groups and artists.

DesertsBeforeMains

There are actually a few guilty pleasures here. Creed I loved them in high school and still love them now. Nickelback is the same sort of deal I think they have some bangers and still enjoy it when I randomly hear their music. Backstreet Boys haha man I hung around predominately islanders and maoris growing up but we were no stranger to this group. Westlife lol now when I tell you Flying Without Wings and Queen Of My Heart used to be requested from various people my group of close friends (mates cousins and close mates from rugby/league) would always jam this on guitar and sing for them. Be it the taxi drivers who got to know the house we always drank at. They would pull up and sometimes ask for certain songs Elton John Elvis etc and the boys would go hard but mostly they wanted to hear Westlife hahaha man what a trip I still crack up at those times always had the guitar strapped to me or my mates back ready to go strolling to parties etc singing haha.

Themoldychip

Boywithuke I love some of his music but some people hate him

BizzackAgaizzn

Vybz Kartel. On the island you either really love him, or hate everything about him.

MSI, ICP, 6ix9ine, and a lot of underground groups similar to them. I don’t listen to them all the time, but they are the ones who probably get the most hate out of anything in my library

reesesbigcup

Genesis, Yes, Van Halen, The Tubes, Heart, Bruce Springsteen, after they changed their sound in the early to mid 80s. I like alot of all these artists 70s songs but I also like the 80s synth-y pop rock oriented songs equally or better.

SnooWalruses4349

Do people hate Hollywood Undead? If so, Hollywood Undead.

Impossible_Culture69

Hall and Oates

ezfast

Tom Waits. People are turned off by his raw voice and radical song arrangements. They don't perceive the the depth, genius and beauty.

bublinkoetsyshop

Natalia Kills, she was cancelled for staged s++t on TV and people still treat her like she did something really horrible. What a talent lost :(

Mei_I_Die

Idk maybe Shinedown? I’ve heard people say they’re cringe and trying too hard but a lot of their songs hit for me.

HappyAssociation5279

So many people hate MGK but he is one of my favorite artists. I started listening to him in like 2012. People don't acknowledge his rap skills because he had beef with Eminem and makes music in several genres. I love Em but I honestly think that MGK won the battle with rap devil. Other rappers have dissed em with weaker songs and the songs are forgotten. People also say he switched genres but he is still making good rap music. Since the battle he released Hotel Diablo a great hip-hop album and his recent single bmxing is a really good rap track. He has several really good albums which are Lace Up, black flag, general admission, Bloom (my favorite) and hotel Diablo and even his pop punk albums are pretty good. He released several covers during the pandemic called the lockdown sessions. His live band is amazing how they mix rock, rap and punk into his hip-hop songs. He also has lots of great features with other artists one of my favorite being Yelawolf Rowdy. He had been praised by DMX and has an awesome track with him called Demons.

ResisterTransSister

Honestly, a person's art is for the behder (music, painting, writing) I think MGK is a better musician all-round. I do think Em destroyed him in the battle, but MGK is dam good. Before I found out about the em/MGK beef, I listened to his rock stuff and loved it

Shot_Awareness6943

I'm sorry but I love the song Dance Monkey. So much slander on Reddit I am starting to believe I am the only one that thinks this one is a bop. But I also don't have tiktok which I think is why a lot of people despise it

recksuss

Aaron Lewis. He was the lead singer and writer for Staind. An alt rock group. He sings old school country. Best songs? State I'm in Country boy Northern redneck I have seen him live and he's the type to sing the pledge of allegiance. He will also stop a show to confront idiots. He's a local guy for me and people throw so much shade on him for being patriotic.

ResisterTransSister

I'm a huge fan of Staind. His voice resonates and speaks volumes. I'm originally from a northeastern state, known for its major city with the same name of the state. People forget there's a giant lot of land above that city and it's redneck and small town.

CoachKillerTrae

i looked him up and he’s a very outspoken supporter of Trump. you can’t be patriotic if you’re voting for a dude who tried to undermine democracy, the very thing this country was founded on.

recksuss

I rest my case. You have never heard of him or his music and based on his political party he can't be patriotic. Good lord man. Am I the only one. Listen to it and then feel free to hate him.

CoachKillerTrae

i just listened to So Far Away, and it’s decent, but not great. it’s not horrible either tho. unfortunately in todays age being affiliated with a certain party can definitely disqualify you from being a patriot, when said party supports a dude who tried to overthrow the democratic process. does that many any sense to u man?

recksuss

So you listened to a song not even a single and you think it's a judgment of his work... and you go on to judge him based on a political party. And you think Republicans are judgmental...

Maanzacorian

Insane Clown Posse, specifically from *Dog Beats* through *The Great Milenko*. *Riddlebox* belongs on the pantheon of classic rap greats. Burzum. I can like sound without liking the person who makes it. Varg is a detestable buffoon but you can pry *Hvis Lyset Tar Oss* from my cold dead hands. Nokturnal Mortum. Same as Burzum, the creators of the sound are pieces of shit, but *The Voice of Steel* is a motherfucking masterpiece.
