So this was the second time I got this referral and so far so good. He said he could make it out today and he quoted me a better price than a competitor. I'll let you guys know how it goes but this response already has some upvotes so I'm hoping for the best. Thank you all for the help.

Do not call Service Professor under any circumstances. They’re in GR but I think they also service Muskegon. I was in the same position as you currently are about 5 or 6 years ago, and they completely ripped me off.
When I had this happen at my house a few years ago, I had B&L Electric fix it. They did a good job. Check with your homeowner insurance to see if they will cover the cost (minus your deductible).
Consumers Energy came out, looked at it. And told me I'm on my own to find an electrician to reconnect it to the house. They don't touch any thing connected to the house. So....the opposite :/ I was pissed.
Yes they really only land the wires coming from the pole. They supply the meter enclosure and when it's installed and ready for hookup the electrical inspector has to come out and make sure it is done correctly. Once he's done he will put a sticker on the meter and consumers can be called to hook it up. Most of the time they will not hook it back up if there isnt an inspection sticker.
