Insomniacs after school is a romance involving astrophotography. The Monogatari series is a drama series about a vampire with a very well done romance, especially in the first season of Bakemonogatari. The one you’re thinking of is San Gatsu no Lion, which is a drama but has elements of romance that show up later (in the manga, but the buildup is in the series) both this series and the Monogatari series are directed by the same studio. Insomniacs after school took inspiration from one of the Monogatari directors when he worked on Call of the Night at Lidenfilms.

All three are in my top 5 romances of anime (the other two being the romance in steins;Gate and the romance in Clannad)

It doesn’t hold up. The first few episodes are fantastic but the pacing goes to hell when the slice of life garbage gets thrown in… I love slice of life, but not when it’s so poorly executed at the expense of the actual romance and main characters.

Don't tease me Nagatoro. If you can get past episode 1, which is the harshest the series ever gets, you'll get a legit funny and wholesome anime. Manga is two chapters away from wrapping up completely, so nows a good time as any to watch the show.

pet girl of sakura hall, scums wish, kiznaiver (not exactly a romance, but close enough), bottom tier tomozaki, ground control to psychoelectric girl (gr8, but will never be finished), to love ru (particularly the darkness seasons, but id recommend watching the whole thing. mainly harem comedy, but has romance), heavens lost property (similar to to love ru), nyaruko (mainly comedy, but has romance), omamori himari, yosuga no sora (taboo subject matter, not for everyone), angel beats (primarily action drama, but has a romance element to it), clannad & after story, elfen lied (horror romance. an odd ball), bunny girl senpai, toradora. a lot of ppl will recommend horimiya, but i found it rather mid tbh.

OMG Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie!!! It’s seriously top 5. Along with More Than a Married Couple. I also really like Rent-A-Girlfriend, Quintessential Quintuplets, ReLife, My Teen Romantic Comedy, Darling In The Franxx (my absolute favorite so naturally I have to put it in here), there are seriously sooo many I’d recommend

Oh man i watched Shikimori for the 1st time recently, read somewhere that a season 2 was very unlikely and that the anime leaves alot of content out, so i ended up buying most of the manga on amazon😂

Question, is there really THAT much content missing from the anime that you should start at volume 1 or are you good at just resuming at volume 6 or 7 (whichever it is the anime leaves off at)? I have volumes 1-14, im probably gonna get 15 & 16 around the same time that 17 comes out and then just read the rest digitally 😂

I suppose you don’t *have* to, but there’s quite a bit that’s left out of the anime in the manga so definitely worth it if you choose to. Especially since they’re such quick reads. This is one of the mangas I want allllll the physical copies for

Insomniacs after school (cause you watched call of the night) 3. Dangers in my heart (Cause it's just POG and you watched my dressup darling)

Golden Time. I've seen every anime you listed and liked them all and definitely think that Golden Time would be PERFECT for you.

Insomniacs After school, I recommend you not bother with the anime and just read the manga, cuz if you want to continue with manga after season 1 you need to re read from start anyways since season 1 misses a lot of detail Your Name Weathering With You I Want to Eat Your Pancreas, extremely sad, will give you depression for a week Blue Box manga, in my opinion 1000000/10, it is a romance slice of life with minor shonen vibes, it's a about 2 athletes that practice a lot, one basketball player, one badminton, as a badminton player myself I can tell the author knows what hes doing, this is also getting an anime adaptation in October but the manga is still ongoing and the film won't cover the latest chapters. If I would recommend 3 out of the lot I would go Insomniacs, Your Name and blue box.

Number 3 was call of the night. I liked Dangers in my heart but didnt like skip and loafer. Never seen my love story or real girl.

Real girl is pretty standard until like the last five episodes. It’s good all the way through but the last few episodes make it one of my favorite. My love story is just good fun.

You might like WOTAKOI: Love is Hard for Otaku. It revolves around multiple very nerdy couples and it's downright hilarious.

I haven't seen one of those you pictured OP but I thoroughly enjoyed the ones I did see, and here is a list of the rest of my favorites. if you haven't seen Koe no Katachi I would start with that. Tsuki ga Kirei is also very good imo and underrated. Also Fruits Basket is a really well known and loved show. Koe no Katachi (very very good movie) Kaguyasama (also highly rated, comedy romance) My love story with yamadakun at lvl 999 (relaxing and nice watch) Blue Spring Ride (also really good, unfinished, likely to never be finished) Tsuki ga Kirei (very good watch imo) Angel Beats (the ending is really emotional) Yubisaki to renren (this is a new one and it was also damn good) Kokoro connect (this one is a weird outlier, certainly has romance but romance isn't the main thing going on here) Clannad (waterworks) Orange (also very good dramatic romance with supernatural elements) Fruits Basket (highly acclaimed very good) Toradora (I felt extremely meh about this one but a lot of people really like it) I want to Eat Your Pancreas (I did not like this one, felt like a very very cheap YLIA to me but a lot of people like it) for my last recommendation fuck it: Steins;Gate (this is a fucking wild ass dystopian ride that also has romance in it. and depression) Also beware: some people are recommending Rent-a-girlfriend but that show is trash. I enjoy it and I watched it all the same but it's fucking trash lol

I just started yamada at lvl 999 and its pretty chill. You should check out whatever you haven’t seen from my top 4 romance they are all super solid in my opinion.

In any case, gonna put up Wotakoi, The Ice Guy and his Cool Female Colleague, and Recovery of an MMO Junkie as my completely blind recommendations to you. All 3 of those shows have adult character leads, so that's what caught my attention. I would say Wotakoi's male protagonist is kind of a nerd, while for Recovery of an MMO Junkie, the female main character is kind of a nerd.
