From experience, having a song as an alarm can ruin it for you. I usually associated those songs with waking up any time I listened to it after. Only MCR song I used was Vampire Money, but I also used Candy Store from Heathers. If you really want to do one, the top comment ab āWake Upā from Sleep was pretty cool, but personally I donāt recommend and itās hard for me to listen to any of those songs anymore
I have the opposite experience, usually hearing just the snippet of the song that plays to wake me up makes me just want to listen to the whole song immediately, on my way to work, etc. Or itāll be whatās stuck in my head all day.
Just met someone at an L.S. Dunes show whose alarm went off and it was āLook Alive, Sunshineāā¦.scared the pants off of some of us when it went off (we were waiting outside the venue after the show), but it also REALLY made me want to listen to the entirety of Danger Days IMMEDIATELY lol
This is my vote, the whistles then the scream? Great way to start the day. Kinda reminds me of how I woke up to [World War Me - From First to Last](https://youtu.be/oEJ2hCgw2DE) for almost all of highschool
Foundations of decay set 6 minutes before you need to get out of bed. Literally ends with GET! UP! COWARD!!! Plus a great slow open so it's not abrupt and everyone enjoys a 6 minute snooze delay before having to wake up.
In high school I set Kill All Your Friends as my alarm and while it's still one of my favorites I can't hear the guitar intro without suddenly feeling tired and grumpy.
I used to have this CD player alarm clock thing and my wake up song was Venom. I always woke up feeling like I was about to have a heart attack but it worked like a charm š
dude no, its psychologically confirmed that songs u use as your alarm will make the songs trigger the negative feeling of needing to get up when ya dont want to. make your alarm songs you hate not songs you love
I had Desert Song as my alarm for the longest time. It was something soft to wake up to. I can't stand waking up to a loud guitar riff going off. It jerks me awake and hurts my chest.
I wake up ever day to āIVE REALLY BEEN ON A BENDER AND IT SHOWS!ā If youāre gonna wake up to a good song, donāt choose the beginning. Choose something like the chorus.
gerard screaming wake up in sleep, the vocals only version 3:42 of https://youtu.be/zLXWEG3x2cM
OP ignore all my other comments because THIS is the right answer

The first phone alarm I ever made was āNeon Tigerā by The Killers. It took me like 10 years to not jolt awake every time I heard it.

Iām happy it works that way for you, really. It does not work like that for me though, lol
Party Poison on full blast (bonus: "if we were all like you in the end / we'd be killin' ourselves by sleepin' in" is perfect thematically speaking)
look alive sunshine - just cause its a nice wake up vibe
Embarrassing

That was absolutely my logic. You get a couple seconds of relative calm until Gerard screams you awake
Boy Division

Early Sunsets
I wake up to summertime every morning at 6:20
Mama was my alarm tone for something like 3 years in high school. The way it fades in was just perfect for me, I hated getting up in the morning š
Planetary (GO!) for sure
I wake up to S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W
Foundations of Decay, At the end where Gerard screams 'get up, coward'
The foundations of decay šš» thatās my alarm to get up to everyday!
Thank you to OP for asking love these ideas- does anyone know how to copy audio from a YouTube video to set it as ringtone?
Dead! or Venom
I used to have this CD player alarm clock thing and my wake up song was Venom. I always woke up feeling like I was about to have a heart attack but it worked like a charm š

Blood. Never gets old n itās pretty pleasant to wake up too honestly
I had Desert Song as my alarm for the longest time. It was something soft to wake up to. I can't stand waking up to a loud guitar riff going off. It jerks me awake and hurts my chest.
Who hurt you, sweet soul? ā¤ļøāš©¹
Well, it all started when my sister older died when I was 10. Shall I go on? š
š aw, you definitely donāt have to, that makes so much sense! (p.s.- so sorry for your loss, regardless of how long itās been)
My alarm and ringtone in high school was Gerard screaming āPICK UP THE PHONE! PICK UP THE PHONE FUCKERā in Bury Me In Black for a while
Demolition lovers will slowly wake you up twice
I wake up ever day to āIVE REALLY BEEN ON A BENDER AND IT SHOWS!ā If youāre gonna wake up to a good song, donāt choose the beginning. Choose something like the chorus.
g note
How do you not wind up absolutely hating the songs that you set as your alarms?! That is a sure fire way for me to ruin a song for myself š
Do NOT do this. You will not want to listen to the song.
Itās Not a Fashion Statement
Iāve used The Ghost Of You, Iām Not Okay, and Dead, Iām not sure which is best
Ooh I have Headfirst for Halos as mine. It really startles me awakeš
ending of Sleep
I rotate between The Ghost of You and Vampires Will Never Hurt You
Just a tip, youre gonna hate whatever song you use as an alarm tone.
Anything off Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge
You will come to hate whatever song you choose
Na Na Na Na.
kids from yesterday
The end of sleep
sleep could be a great experiment its pretty loud
Careful, i would do songs for alarm but after a while you end up hating the song because it wakes you up every morning lol
HAAAAVE YOU HEARD THE NEWS THAT YOURE DEAD?
DESTROYA, 2:32 minutes in
Mama
