I’m gold now but also a SG .. that can and willingly passes as an off ball guard .
Basically , if ALL you do is score , then it probably won’t raise as high as a team player . You get way more points for assists or defensive plays because the game knows you’re engaged .
Also , because people can infer things over the internet, I’m not saying you aren’t good brother , not at all, just if all your doing is scoring (and getting scored on) it isn’t gonna raise your teammate as fast as making basketball plays will .. but if you keep playing good , it’ll rise my friend , no worries .
This is the only answer you need right here, honestly. The more you’re doing in-game the more the grade is going to go up. Having a well rounded build will help you out throughout so many moments of the game 👍🏼

You’re a guard, you have to average more assists bro, not saying you need 6 a game but less than 2 is kind of crazy. Kick out on more slashes and make the extra pass

I catch, I shoot, I score, and I don't hog the ball. If you don't want that on your team you're lying.
It may be low usage. My job is to get open and shoot too but based on statistics I probably touch the ball twice as much as you if not more. The teammate grade, although not by much, goes down if you’re not active in the game. If you’re just catching and shooting you aren’t getting that much (although excellent shot release and scored off assist should at least have you at a B minus)
Yeah I'm not sizing anyone up or bringing the ball up the court at all. It's all either catch and shoot or drive to the rim. When I get the ball and I don't have an option to score I get rid of rhe ball ASAP and to the safest option. Not the most optimal way to keep the ball moving but I have 69 pass accuracy so getting the rock through a passing lane is always risky

Tbh scoring isn’t really valued this year as far as teammate grade, if you’re a guard assists are what matter. You can score alot more than you do and without the assists it’s not enough to outweigh the occasional defensive breakdowns or turnovers.

More than 2 turnovers and idgaf what you did you weren’t getting an A.
This year I feel they did alot better job allowing assist to turnover to balance out your grade.
Different positions weigh stats differently, it’s very easy to get an A this year, you’re not the primary bh but just try to focus on a solid 5-6 assists a game and it will go up.

I am the open man. I shoot 75% from 3 with 87 3pt rating. Sounds like smart basketball to me.

Seems like you just ain’t doing enough. Set the odd off ball, get out on fast breaks, fill lanes etc, if you’re not keen on being on ball.
Just be more involved, maybe even a little greedy.
I'm not good enough to do more tbh. Tried playing point for a while but while I was good at facilitating I don't have the bag to create my own shots like a PG is expected to. My teammates would complain for putting up 10 points with 14 assists with 3 steals.
Based on the type of players I come across in this game I think I'm doing a great job for the team by limiting my game to the few simple things I do well.
Basketball has 2 sides. Offense and Defense. If you can't understand that you have to be good on both sides, to get a better rating, then the problem is with you.
Your steal average or passing or rebounds are basically non-existent, and you wonder why you don't get higher grades?
I play 90% of games as a Center and Lock in 2k. And I've gotten my shit pushed in a LOT over the years in those positions while not scoring anywhere near as much as I do with this build, and still wind up with a B- at worst. Its not the defens.e
I live on an island about 700 miles off the coast and get server errors at least once a night. Whatever plate colour I get to is lost in the next couple days because 2K can't differentiate between quitting a game and losing a connection to their servers

Whenever someone says "i scored more than my matchup" I immediately think theyre bad.
This isnt a 1v1 game and you worrying about that is probably why you have a low teammate grade and a black plate.
Only meant it in the sense of it affecting my teammate grade badly. The build's lack of defense is totally a liability and I def get burnt a lot. Its not a fun build to play with for me precisely because I have to be locked in at all times to get a hand up and contest shots. I do have the bare minimum in terms of perimeter d badges though, which is more than a lot of builds I've played with in solo rec. And i think i do a good job ustifying that bare minimum by taking the right shots and putting points on the board.
I'm not saying you're a bad player at all, I wouldn't mind someone with those shooting percentages on my team. However, you get more to your teammate grade for assists

All they do is score and literally nothing else.

Lots of those games are losses with teammates quitting the second we are down by 6 points

dont recall turning it over any more than usual. probably 1-2 a game. def not as much as I do with my big throwing outlet passes
