I played soooooo much 2k20 - spent extra money and had extra time because of the pandemic. I went to play last year and was pissed because all my hard work just went POOF. Now I’m trying to restart on 2k24 because it was on sale and nobody will play with me online because I’m a low level. There’s no way to talk to people before the game starts to be like - hey give me a chance - and if I am on got next, a squad will usually show up after I’ve already been waiting a full game or two. I’m getting really frustrated about it. That’s actually why I’m on this sub trying to determine if I can find any other noobs to play with.
2k19 was the last one you could play offline mycareer in, but it didn't include a story it was just a calendar. 2k17 was the last 2k you could play the story.
Yeah and that makes sense for online play and their gacha lottery system. Why tf the My Career linked to that? Just remove the neighbourhood and make it a series of menus or just have an offline map
What part of MyCareer is online play? I just wanna play with my dude in the NBA none of that requires online play. Lebron James ain't in his house playing with me when I'm on the Lakers.

The Neighbourhood has no reason to be online only. It's a map. The court is also a map that ain't required to be online.

Yea this 2k is brutal to the casual. I mean BRUTAL. Try theater no squads, I believe you’ll at least get consistent games

2k17 and below are the only servers you can play offline career mode. Not 100% sure tho, still shitty you can’t play the career offline

No one would buy the new games if they kept the older game servers up, so the most older game of a 2k trilogy gets it servers shut down.

They literally did the same with their new tennis game . You have to be online to play their career mode. No buy from me.

I think EA still own or has the right to all of them except nba (they stopped making nba live ) but sport gaming is in a sad state right now .
