I mainly use my m16a1 clone for .22 due to the twist rate and refuse to clean it outside of dumping a mag of 5.56 after every range day to clear out the gas system just to see what will happen and boy is it dirty, no malfunctions with the 5.56 yet but that sucker is caked up like a Latina porn star

I try not to let it get to that point but the Sierra 5 is pretty gassy. I just changed out to a sionics 11.5 barrel with the silencer dedicated gas port so I’m hoping that cuts down a lot of it.

Thinking about one of those BRT tubes to see if it helps. She’s kinda gassy, but not terrible. My 8.5” 300BO is worse, but so much fun.

Clean your effing gun and get over it- people that don’t clean their guns are not edgy or cool they are lazy or dull. Don’t want to clean your gun and take pics to show what an edge lord you are go for it. Real hero Not saying you need to be obsessive but it is part of your relationship with your tool. An important tool. Carpenters don’t brag about how dirty their tools are a good mechanic cleans his tools. At least wipe your gun down. Takes 10 minutes.

Shit, that still looks clean compared to mine 😂. I think it just further demonstrates that a DI rifle is not as prone to carbon related malfunctions as the anti AR crowd still tries to claim. And it's not just rifles either. I did a full tear down of my CZ P10c after 100 rounds of suppressed and I've never seen that much carbon build up inside the firing pin channel.

Sadly unavoidable side effect of saving your hearing. I hand load almost exclusively with Vihtavuori powders. Their powders burn a lot cleaner and save on the time spent cleaning. I use Hodgdon CFE 223 in my 6mm ARC and it gets soooooooo dirty so fast. I never realized until I got into reloading how much of a difference good powder can make when it comes to how dirty your rifle gets, how much flash you get out of your can, and how gassy they are.

Lube, shoot, lube again. No need to clean that. It's hardly dirty.

Superlative Arms piston kit helped mine a lot I have it on all my ARs that I shoot suppressed. I have a bootleg adjustable bolt for quick swap option and for speed of install it works decent. Adam's Arms piston kits are good too but only work with certain barrel nuts. Adjustable gas block probly works good too, but that option is for the poors. *Steps off soap box*

Number one rule of suppressed - NEVER shake your can on your wife's kitchen table or over the carpet. Especially if it is a disassemble-able can. Took apart a rim fire can in the main house and, what a mess.

The real fun is cleaning up after suppressed rimfire 😉

Make sure you run a grease type lubricant or you'll start running into some issues after a few hundred rounds like for my rifle I ran it nearly bone dry and after 200 rounds I had to take the trigger and safety out clean them and then clean the fuck out of everything else because it damn near locked up

Yeah it’s nasty but worth it! Odorless mineral spirits takes it right off. Also look up sotar acha lube. Both are cheap and better than typical gun cleaners and lubes.

Try using Lucas Extreme Duty gun oil. Gums up a lot less than CLP or rem oil it’s the best suppressed rifle use gun oil. Very high heat tolerance too

If you want less gas in the face get a PRI gas buster, Radian raptor SD or Silencer Co Sd charging handle

I think I had that range bag... have you looked into savior bags? They're about the same cost, maybe a little cheaper and exponentially better quality. The design on rukx style bags kinda sucks. Especially in the shoulder straps. I shoot a lot and it changed my life.
