That Hitler guy is actually fairly well known for being racist. In 1925, long before the forced sterilizations in the Rhineland, he had this to say: "It was and is the Jews who bring the Negroes into the Rhineland," Hitler wrote, "always with the same secret thought and clear aim of ruining the hated white race by the necessarily resulting bastardisation."
Hitler definitely hated Jews more than he hated Africans, but that’s more a product of demographics of 1930-40s Germany than Hitler being progressive.
The Owens quote is just that FDR snubbed him by not acknowledging his wins but Hitler didn’t because he waved at him. The quote is often taken out of context by people who defend Nazis and Hitler.

Nobody does racism better than Americans if we’re being completely honest. All of Europe seized the opportunity to just stop doing it after some time but America doubled down, because they’ll be damned if they don’t have something to be remembered for.
