Can’t tell they are press on. I think white always has that “fake” look even on natural nails. I think they look good. My friend does the press ons a lot and they always look nice.
I think they look pretty darn good! Unless you told me, I’d probably never know!
Gun to my head, if I absolutely had to find a flaw/issue, looking at your thumb, there’s that little itty bitty smidge of extra width that doesn’t look *quite* as natural as the rest, but I have the same issue with press-ons on my own thumbs. You could file down just a bit at the sides & round out the bottom corners a little if it *really* bothered you but honestly? I think you did a great job and they look really nice! Next time, I probably wouldn’t do white nails with your pale skin (I too am very pale and white clothes or nail polish always seem to clash a bit on me) but a cream shade or pale pink/beige would be super flattering if you’re wanting something light and neutral!
I’m very happy everyone here thinks they are good! I’m a nail biter and I want to stop so I thought I’d give fake nails a try. I love white nails on everyone, but I do think it does flatter tan skin even more. Thanks so much for the thumb tip! It made the difference to file it a bit more.
These do look really nice and we have similar finger shapes and nail sizes so I will say when I do this exact same thing (I think I've even worn that exact style) they always take a little getting used to from me because they're just slightly wider than if I paint my natural nails.
You can try sizing down just a bit and see if it looks more natural but I think they look better than a lot of the actual salon nails people post.
I use glue ons when I can’t stop after a while, then I let my natural nails grow long, till one of them chips! Then rinse and repeat. One day I’ll break the cycle but until then I’ll treat myself to glue ons, they look great and are very budget friendly!
White is always a difficult color on nails. Reminds me of girls using liquid correction or Tippex on their nails, from way back. Other than that, no difference than gel or acrylics on natural nails,
I'm a recovering nail biter, i have 2 nails that are still short so I put press ons only on those, and the rest are pretty much as long and square as your pressons in this photo.
I didn't automatically notice they were press ons so they definitely look real. Like another commenter said, "if i had a gun to my head"....the one thing I've noticed between my natural nails and press ons is the amount they curve. Press ons are always much flatter than my natural ones, so i find filing them slightly less square and a SMIDGE more coffin shaped makes them look more curved like my natural square nails.
I love press ons these are my favorite kind. Personally I don’t like the ones with the gel instead of the glue I’m not sure if this is the one you’re talking about but the gel is so gross. Glue is the best way to go with press ons. I think they look great! Like you got them done at the salon
You did great with lining the nails right to the cuticle. I feel like white nails always look fake because they pop a lot. Even when I sometimes do white manicures on my natural nails they look like I have extensions on.
They look really good. When I’m not at school I wear press one all the time and thankfully have gotten better but for at least the first year mien looked awful so honestly that amazing, especially for your first attempt!
Good job! A tip i would have for you is before you aply them, try lifting up your cuticle a little bit and then sliding the nail under the edge to help them stay on longer and look more realistic :))
They don’t look too fake at all but the color is not flattering. I find white nail polish flattering on more tanned skin. I wear it in the summer when I have a tan (I am Mediterranean for reference).
Did you use the Impress nails??? I love so many of those designs but they feel SO weird with that jelly adhesive. Not to mention, they peel off in 24 hours. Did you take the adhesive off or use the glue with the adhesive still on the nail?
My trick to the impress nails is to make sure my
Nails are dry for 2 hours before putting them on and put them on before bed so they don’t get wet overnight. Those buggers stick on my nails for a week and a half with the adhesive. And even then some will still be super stuck while others are starting to lift. The only annoying part is when my hair starts to get stuck in them since they aren’t fully glued down.
They look great! I thought they were gel at first too!!
I use press ons a lot (i have 1yo twins and zero time lol) so my biggest tip is to file the edges if they don’t fit your natural nail perfectly. Better too large than too small. Visible natural nail on the side is a dead giveaway for stickons. So use the bigger side and just file away the part that touches skin.
Also make sure you push your cuticles back before applying, and if you want them to really last, prep with rubbing alcohol the way you would with gel nails. It dehydrates the nails and removes oils, and the glue sticks better longer.
I have the same issue. My nail beds are very wide and very short. I’ve found that wearing darker colors usually helps but if you don’t like that then I would at least try to break the nail up in some other way like putting a border around the edges of your nails, or putting a simple design on your widest nails, for example, or you could go with a nail shape that tapers off at the end instead of a square like oval or coffin.
(I’m sorry I tried to attach images but I can’t seem to figure it out)
I think they look great! I can’t tell they’re press-ones.
The only thing I’d say is they look like they might be just a smidge close to being too big? But they honestly look great.
Can’t tell they are press on. I think white always has that “fake” look even on natural nails. I think they look good. My friend does the press ons a lot and they always look nice.
Before I read the description i saw the image and i genuinely thought you did your own manicure. I couldn’t tell they were press on’s at all.
Me too! They fit so well I was like what a nice gel manicure 😂

If you love them, that’s the only thing that matters! Rock those white nails ❤️
Fellow biter here! Check out r/calmhands for encouragement and community
Maybe experiment with a round tip too - I think they look so elegant!
It’s how I stopped picking/biting mine! Now I use gel overlay on my natural nails. You will get there!

That is how I quit biting mine
I think they look good.

You have very long elegant fingers I'm so jealous of girls with hands like theseee
Same! I have my dads hands and cant go without my acrylics, they look awful without my nails done.
Same haha, I'd give anything for long fingers
They look nice
They don’t look fake at all! I thought they were your real nails.
They look really nice! Just make sure they are not glued over your cuticle or any skin, and they are glued just to the nail
they look pretty cute ngl, love white nails on pretty much everyone
I think they look great!! I use press on as well, and love it.

The square shape isn't really the best for your fingers and hand shape, I think
They look good!
I'm not sure white would have been the color I would have chosen with your skin tone but other than the color I think they look fine!!
They look good. I can’t tell they’re press ons and nobody will be able to tell either and if they have to ask then they don’t know.
They’re cute! I’d go for a more ivory tone for your skin, but I think they look nice. Not fake or anything.
You did great with lining the nails right to the cuticle. I feel like white nails always look fake because they pop a lot. Even when I sometimes do white manicures on my natural nails they look like I have extensions on.
They’re sooo pretty!

oh thank you!
Of course!!
Are these the ones from Primark?
No they don’t look fake. Good job 😁

What colors do you think would suit me? Im having trouble knowing what is right for me.
Try burgundi color (dark red), black, brown or even bright red :)
I like them I think they look great!!!
I think they look really good.
They look great! Very real good job 🙌🏻😍
They look amazing
They look amazing
They look amazzzzing!
They look good
I think they look pretty good
I probably wouldn’t have gone with white, but I do love press ons. They have come a long way in durability and style.
I think they look fine!
Did you use the Impress nails??? I love so many of those designs but they feel SO weird with that jelly adhesive. Not to mention, they peel off in 24 hours. Did you take the adhesive off or use the glue with the adhesive still on the nail?
I used some cheap nails for only a dollar and filed the best I could! I used only nail glue.

They look real. I love it
They’re cute!
I think they’re cute. I’m wondering how long these typically last and if I could use gel to put designs on them?
They look good on you
Before I read this, I thought you just painted them. White just always looks a little off, in my opinion
They dont look fake at all, they look cute
I would never have guessed! They look great! :)
They look great.
No they look real from the salon!
I’ve used them before and I like them
They don’t look any more fake than acrylics. 🤷🏻♀️
They look great and even if they did look fake if it looks good it doesn’t matter 😊
They look beautiful and very natural! You did a great job!
They look super clean and really good
They look amazing!
Its look nice
Beautiful nails, do you play piano ?
I do just a tiny bit!

They don’t look fake, they just look too wide for your nail beds.
Yeah my nail beds are already kind of wide. I will have to file them more. Is there any other way youd know if i could make them appear less so?
