I’m so confused…Are we chokers or are we front runners that only beat up on injured teams? We can’t be both dude.
You know your life sucks when a week after your NBA team got eliminated you’re still salty. You might now realize this, but there’s not one Knicks player who cares about you or your feelings. Keep basing your happiness on that
people sleep on Myles too hard. Name 5 better Centers in the league. Better yet- name two better shooting Centers in the league. It’s Jokic, Embiid, Adebayo, Gobert, Porzingus/Turner (it’s close Zingus probably slightly better in the zeitgeist but I love Myles 😭)
Jrue , Brown, Tatum. See how easy that was. Both teams missing someone. The resource difference between Boston and Indy is night and day. Boston has been building this team since Oladipo was leading The Pacers.
It’s not about being close it’s about missing a crucial part to your team. We all know on paper the pacers are worse but still missing maturin matters to them
Pacers are missing Mathurin who's arguably a top 5 player for them (not saying he's better than Porzingus but the Celtics in general have better players)
I don't get why people slag off the Pacers so much.
They play offense the way everyone falls over themselves to say it's supposed to be played. They're a young team who have overperformed expectations this year. They were a terrible defense early in the year, which they cleaned up to mid-league in defensive rating post all-star game.
But because the knicks all hurt themselves somehow the Pacers are a garbage team. It's a silly and lazy take.
Did you ever watch Steve Nash play? Haliburton's stats compare and play-stype compare well to his, and he was a 2 time MVP. Everybody thinks stars have to be isolation ball-dominant scorers these days.
Do I think the Pacers win it this year? No. But they're are a blast to watch and they're a good underdog story.
Only when I was a kid but I watched Haliburton play last night and saw him turn the ball over horribly in multiple crucial possessions. And I saw when he was in close games in the first 2 rounds and completely disappeared in the second half of games, to where TJ McConnell was outplaying him while making $50 million less a year.
And I saw like 4 times these playoffs so far dude has 4 seconds left on the shot clock in clutch time and he chucks it over to Nembhard who is contested. Dude is terrified of the moment. Maybe he can grow, who knows.
He had 3 turnovers in the game. I think you can credit Jrue for that last one, was really good defense.
He's averaging 19 pts, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds in 50% shooting in his first ever playoffs. And yes, in that one game he passed to Nembhard for the final shot. Rewatch that play. Nembhard wasn't contested. He was being guarded by Brunson, the shortest and worst perimeter defender on that team. In the previous series, Haliburton hit a game-winning floater to beat the bucks.
He's had maybe two bad games these playoffs. He's far from terrified of the moment.
You’re right he has been playing pretty well, there are a couple bad games, but all I’ll say is he’s not a guy I would feel ecstatic about my team having him on a max or super max or whatever it is that he has
Haliburton is not mvp material...
However idk wtf you are smoking. Please share I want some
We are still not seeing peak haliburton. He's had a nagging injury all year.
If he wasn't hurt, they have a massive chance at beating the celtics. They're a sub 50 win team because their roster was incomplete at the beginning of the year
If they can stay healthy again next year, they will be the second best team in the eastern conference
Siakim looks lost half the time on defense. Idk if he's just a bad defender or still adjusting to defensive schemes. Probably both. I can't imagine this doesn't improve next year
Everyone's gonna look at the pacers next year and call them the most improved team. As someone who's watched them play a lot, I can tell you this is false. They are already that good.
Brother, the Celtics have the best record in the league against Western Conference teams......
Boston is 23-7 against Western Conference teams in the regular season. That's a 76.66% win percentage. Wolves are next highest at 37-15, or 71.15%. Then OKC (36-16), Denver (33-19), and Dallas (31-21).
You can make an argument about them underperforming in playoffs, but in the regular season they have been very, very good
Not the best team in the league. Def best team in the lEast; they’ll have mid 50s win totals if they were in the West like the rest of us (Denver, OKC, Twolves) instead of collecting easy W’s against tanking teams (Detroit , Washington, Charlotte, ATL, BKN).
Lol downvoted for fax. They could easily have been knocked out of the playoffs if they faced like 3 maybe 4 different teams in the West and had to play through the gauntlet that is the west instead of winning one series at the end. After coasting to the finals. Oh well what’re ya gonna do? There’s nothing ya can do, and the Celtics have a good chance to beat anyone in a 7 game finals series.
You literally said the west was a better product, and the top 2 teams in the west sucked and lost. The #1 team in the east is at least still in the playoffs....
If the Celtics show up, it's a 5 or at most 6 game series and that's if Indiana plays its best and the Celtics show up. Thing is, the Celtics tend to disappear as the games get bigger so I actually think the Pacers have a real shot.
Did you watch Cavs series? Game 5 was really close throughout and it was Celts vs the Cavs subs, I think Marcus Morris had 25p? Dean Wade and Sam Merrill were 5 and 6 in minutes, that's not much of a nba team but the game was close until end. Game 4 was also really close and Cavs didnt have Allen or Mitchell. To think what a healthy Cavs team could have done. If needing 5 close games to beat Cleveland's subs is not playing down to your opp then we're really getting in to the nitpicking here.
Celtics tend to what? You have it completely wrong. The Celtics ONLY show up in big games and then take their foot off the gas for games that don't matter as much.
Lol, pretty sure the injury list for both previous series was similar going into them.
Both were out a starter.
I'll just assume you're a fan of the much better team that lost to these hicks and you're still mentally trying to justify the loss.
Maybe the Celtics help you sleep better after this series, maybe not...
im not even gonna look at your profile but i’m assuming you’re either a salty bucks fan or a seething knicks fan still mad about the front running pacers.
Don't know if that's the best idea. When KAT came back from injury, he was atrocious for a bit. KP isn't missing as much time and his game is easier to step back into but can still vote you pretty bad
Damn Hali own you that much!! That’s a whole new level of sore losing!!
How bout a Knicks fan pulling for the Celtics! I love it!! Pacers did what they set out to do… Turn the Knicks fans into such bitches they root for the Celtics!! LMFAO! Let’s gooooo!!!!!!
I hate the Celtics. Just was really glorious to watch Hali dribble the ball out of bounds one game after being a corny ass wearing that Reggie hoodie after beating the Knicks. Karma is a bitch. Wear that choke hoodie every day loser!
So wear the hoodie before the Knicks choked? That’s like Reggie making the choking motion when the Knicks were still up 7. Makes no sense, you’re an idiot, go cry on the Knicks sub
When you go 2-2 against the Celtics in the regular season, you aren’t overly worried about anyone. I love the Pacers/Hali hate in this sub. Thank you for making my team relevant.
The Knicks were playing dudes literally all game long and never subbing them out and then crying when they get injured lol.
Jack up a three or let Brunson flop his way to the foul line was 100% of the Knicks playoff offensive strategy. Why anyone would enjoy watching that style is beyond me.
Pacers are one of four teams that beat the Celtics more than once this season. Haliburton is injured, they're missing Mathurin, and won't have home court advantage in any series in the playoffs. It's not like it's been a cakewalk, especially when this is like half the team's first time in the playoffs

not enough of a merchant. this guy though…
Pacers are the absolute most annoying team for me. Just someone use the "I dont think about you at all" when talking about the Bucks and Knicks. The Pacers can't stop taking about the 2 injured teams they beat. I can't believe I'm pulling for the Cs in the ECF. I hope the West wins ultimately.
It’s sad that I have to root for the Celtics but I actually don’t even dislike anyone on their team. The Pacers are obnoxious and cocky and I hope they get swept
Who tf is tingus pingus
They need like 4 more guys to go down before they can celebrate again
Yes.... Good. Let it flow through you. The hate
Bro I just checked out your post history… what the hell man.
Lmao thanks that was a rabbit hole
Cope harder bro. The Knicks lost. Just go watch ESPN. The coverage is still there
I couldn’t understand you through all your choking. Anyone here know the Heimlich maneuver?
I’m so confused…Are we chokers or are we front runners that only beat up on injured teams? We can’t be both dude. You know your life sucks when a week after your NBA team got eliminated you’re still salty. You might now realize this, but there’s not one Knicks player who cares about you or your feelings. Classic
No way his mouth is that big
They put Draymond’s mouth on him
How do you think he makes such different voices while talking
I think he’s just very sleepy and constantly surprised and stifling his yawns while he talks
this is both the celtics and pacers first time playing mostly healthy teams
I know you said mostly but boston missing porzingis is still very significant
Isn’t Porzongis supposed to be back after 2 games this series?
He didn’t practice yesterday I think. Not sure that actually means anything but it could be
Pacers been missing mathurin for a while…
These are no the same
closer than it is further, mathurin is a dog fr he can carry a game
Missing mathurin isn’t significant? He’s probably the pacers second best player.
Tyrese, pascal, Myles all clear, come on now.
Fax what’s dude smoking
Pacer fan here, can agree. Also may argue Nembhard and Neismith are currently “better” overall. Mathurin is a better scorer. That’s it.
Yall struck gold with those 2
people sleep on Myles too hard.
I think alot of people in here didn't watch him play. Math is a beast. Indy could definitely use him in this Celtics series.
100 percent, he’s a dog too. Attacks down hill at will. That said thank goodness Nembhard and Nesmith are balling out!!! Sheppard too!
Benedict is pretty good but he's not better than Siakam by a long shot. Shit he might not be better than Turner either.
Found mathurin’s account
Dude...
Totally is he’s the only Pacer that can get a whistle. Knicks shot 60 more Free Throws than The Pacers he is definitely missed.
Lol why are you getting downvoted? Mathurin would add even more depth to this already deep team. Pacers in 7 with both teams healthy.
They don’t think it’s fair how deep we are I guess
You are comparing them to the Celtics, a deeper and more talented group.
Are they?
Are they not?
Dude, NBA fans don’t pay attention to the Pacers. This group has no clue who Mathurin is, let only that he’s out for the year.
Exactly. No excuses for the pacers tho
And pacers missing Mathurin
I’m not sure those are on the same level
Porzingis is obviously better but Mathurin was pacers 4th leading scorer, Porzingis is Boston’s 3rd. Both significant injuries
So what about the defensive end. Even if we consider mathurin average defensively. Kristaps is a top 5 rim protector. It’s not really close
It’s not about being close it’s about missing a crucial part to your team. We all know on paper the pacers are worse but still missing maturin matters to them
Top 5 rim protector is wild
Stats don’t lie??
Just say you don’t know ball
You’re right, pornzingas couldn’t hold mathyourins jockstrap
Nah that’s wild lmao
Pacers are missing Mathurin who's arguably a top 5 player for them (not saying he's better than Porzingus but the Celtics in general have better players)
Celtics have actually had a lot of success over the past 5 years playing healthy teams
Funny enough I get more scared about playing bums as a celtics fan
Thankfully there isn’t some Undrafyed 8th man to suddenly turn into prime Curry
Just wait
Tj mcconnell might just turn into prime curry
Each and every time we play the Heat.
At least the celtics would have gotten here anyway
Well, the C's played against many injured players on the Heat and Cavs. So don't put it only on the Pacers.
True but the Celtics earned their seeding. They’ve been the best team in the league for most of the year
I don't get why people slag off the Pacers so much.
Haliburton is not an MVP / finals MVP caliber player, and these Pacers aren’t the ‘04 Pistons. Everyone knows they have no chance so nobody cares.
pacers 100% have a shot if the pacers are hot on a given day, they can beat anyone
They can’t contain teams that have a legitimate 1-2 punch offense. They took 13 games to get past 2 teams that had 0 punch and 1 punch offenses.
You need to start watching basketball and stop commenting on Reddit
The pacers scare the shit out of me We celtics like to blow leads often No lead against the pacers is safe.
Did you ever watch Steve Nash play? Haliburton's stats compare and play-stype compare well to his, and he was a 2 time MVP. For reference in his 24 year old playoffs Tatum did 25/6/6 against the big 3 nets, giannis, Jimmy butler and GSW and still gets slandered for it.
Haliburton is not mvp material... However idk wtf you are smoking. Please share I want some We are still not seeing peak haliburton. He's had a nagging injury all year. The sample size isn’t the same
Cool, I’ll throw away all the west teams record versus the east
It wouldn’t make much of a difference in the standings over there
30 vs 50 is a dramatic sample size difference to you? Please explain.
It’s a 60% difference. Can you do statistics?
Damn not familiar with the concept of diminishing returns.
Yeah I'm saving this comment to come back a month from now

I fully expect BOS to show up and play down to their opponent. That's what showing up is for them.
idk how true that is anymore considering the last two series have both been five games
Did you watch Cavs series? Game 5 was really close throughout and it was Celts vs the Cavs subs, I think Marcus Morris had 25p? celtics had a net rating of 17 in the wins they had last series(8.1 for the series, including the 24 pt loss), it was not “5 close games” lmao
They averaged double digit wins without their 3rd best scorer lol
Celtics tend to what? You have it completely wrong. The Celtics ONLY show up in big games and then take their foot off the gas for games that don't matter as much.
That ECF series last season really opened my eyes to the Celtics game. I would be surprised but not terribly surprised if the Pacers win the series
Don’t get my hopes high
i fucking hate the celtics but im fully expecting a sweep

Porzingis is arguably the 2nd most important player on the team.

I also didn’t look at his profile, also assumed the same. Someone else informed me, most visited sub, r/NYKnicks LMAOOOOOOOO, cry more lil bitch
KP coming back for the conference finals??
why rush him they seem to be doing ok without him so far. "break glass in case of emergency" type of thing going on with him.
Yeah I hear ya I was just wondering when he’s expected to return..
Toward the end of this series. Not before game 3 at the earliest.
Don't know if that's the best idea. When KAT came back from injury, he was atrocious for a bit. KP isn't missing as much time and his game is easier to step back into but can still vote you pretty bad
Tatum and Brown to miss 3 games each with the luck they're having.
Why can't they make that a meme for the Celtics who played a Cavs team without Mitchell or Allen, and a Heat team without Butler?
Because the Celtics win those series easily regardless.
Take your sore losing to the NHL meme subreddit. At least the Rangers are still in it
