Pink Floyd is the GOAT! No doubt. There isn't any band like them. If there was, it would only be a cheap imitation, or a tribute band; Brit Floyd.
However, Tool, albeit much heavier than them takes me to the same unknown places where PF does.
Edit- huge fan of Led Zeppelin too!
It's hard to look past LZ IV, this album is goated, so many great songs.
Their first album isn't rated as high and doesn't get enough love, but it has my favourite song; babe, I'm gonna leave you plus Dazed and confused, communication breakdown, good times, bad times etc.
They were so raw and young, and loud and rebellious. Other albums secured their legendary status, but they made their mark with this one. I'd say this is the one- LZ I.
Meddle and Obscured by the Clouds are hugely underrated.
People should listen to more unfamiliar songs from PF. Marooned and Anisina for example. Also, Fearless.
God, I love Pink Floyd!
You should immediately download **Pink Floyd live at Pompeii** and watch it all. Download in Director's Cut version. Do it now!
They do a live rendition of Echoes and several other songs in Pompeii in an empty amphitheatre. It's the best out there and one of a kind.
Yessir!
I'm usually so caught up with 27 minutes version of Shine on your Crazy Diamond on repeat that I hardly have time for anything else. I do dig through their lesser known songs though.
Yep. Mine's The Dark Side Of The Moon too. But the second place is a 5 way tie 😹. The Wall, Wish You Were Here, Meddle, The Final Cut and A Saucerful Of Secrets. Cant rank them.
Have you tried Pearl Jam? They’re an alternative rock and grunge band. You might like them. Babbal guitar solo haru ta Van Halen, Metallica and Deep Purple ko huncha ali tara jhan explore garni bhaye metal genre tira dherai hernu parcha ekdam babbal solo.
Ahaaa, Camel, King Crimson, Yes, Rush ni dekhna paiyo.
One more Red nightmare ta mero ringtone ho yaar.
I'd add Gentle Giant, Van Der Graaf Generator, Genesis, Nektar to the list too.
Love em' all.
Pink Floyd is absolutely the GOAT. I've been listening to them for 4 years now, and they've greatly shaped my taste since then.
I think you'll love pop rock bands from the 90s. Oasis is currently my favorite.
Check out their album 'What's the Story Morning Glory'.
type o negative, system of a down, pierce the veil, paramore, bad omens, oasis, ABBA, fleetwood mac, eslabon armado, bad bunny, third eye blind, the killers, foofighters, the 1975, twenty one pilots, gorillaz
if you are into pink floyd then i suggest
"april"- deep purple (very psych guitar and saxophone)
"no quarter" - led zeppelin (pink floyd like tone and fx's)
"starless" - king crimson (insane guitar)
Explore Porcupine Tree if you love Pink Floyd.
You can start with songs like Lazarus, Trains, Arriving somewhere but not here, The start of something beautiful, Dark matter, etc.
Damn. Why am I getting downvoted? Porcupine Tree is one of the best progressive rock bands of all time if not the best and has many beautiful solos that OP is craving for.
There's some mofo with multiple accounts downvoting every single comments. Tamil Bhojpuri song ko fan hola muji, Pink Floyd ko kura garya man parena hola.
not only hotel california, there is still a lot of good music to be explored,it is just tip of the iceberg if you intrested in nepali songs I recommend saurav bhattarai
The aftermath darjeeling = Aarohann (A nepali band with progressive rock genre) , Alter Bridge - Broken wings (similar nature but obv international band ) . Similarly , I recommend listening to GF Blues by 1974 AD (seriously underrated ) and samjhi baschu by them is also mine favourite .
Sorry for the shift in genre . From prog rock, country rock and folk music i recommend you give it a goo pal !!!
Don't speak- no doubt, how am i supposed to live without you- michael bolton, take what u want- maroon 5, not coming home- maroon 5, man in the mirror- michael jackson, heal the world- michael jackson, jolene- dolly parton, let it be- Beatles, man who sold the world- nirvana, wish u were here- pink floyd, hallelujah- Jeff buckley

What's your favourite Floyd album?

Gonna Listen to Obscured by Clouds tomorrow.
The last song Absolutely Curtains ends with a hauntingly beautiful alien ballad.

I've watched echoes of Live In Pompeii. And maybe Careful with that axe eugene too.
Yes, that's the one! Great bro! Keep discovering! Another suggestion is **Atom Heart Mother**
Yeah. I have listened to that once. If is my fav from the album.
Yessir! I'm usually so caught up with 27 minutes version of Shine on your Crazy Diamond on repeat that I hardly have time for anything else. I do dig through their lesser known songs though.

Krazy!
Watch Pink Floyd live at Pompeii.
There's no question about it, man. The dark side of the moon, not only their best but probably the greatest album ever!
Yep. Mine's The Dark Side Of The Moon too. But the second place is a 5 way tie 😹. The Wall, Wish You Were Here, Meddle, The Final Cut and A Saucerful Of Secrets. Cant rank them.
Listen to Tool, Dream Theatre, Porcupine Tree, Opeth and progressive sides of Gojira and Mastodon. They won't disappoint you.

Polyphia since mentioned guitar
Playing god matra suneko chha tiniharu ko maile 😆 🤣
Not good music. It is flashy, complex and impressive but it’s boring. The only main good thing about their songs is their signature guitar riffs.
Nahh the drums and bass are also good
Porcupine tree , steven wilson , antimatter , perfect circle , tool , dream theater, alice in chains , my bloody valentine,
Check these songs from Pink Floyd Green is the Colour, Is there anybody out there, Arnold layne, The gunners dream.
