It is due to their political integration under the Hausa states and Sokoto Caliphate after them. That's why its Hausa-Fulani(have also heard, Halusi) and not Hausa or Fulani, separately.
My people are the absolute definition of a minority. I think we have about 3000 speakers in the whole country and that number is already reducing due to many outside factors.
We are a minority tribe in Nigeria according to my information. We are Ewe people, located throughout west Africa, Benin, Togo, Gh etc. if you didn’t know. I was just trying to confirm it jor. That’s what’s being asked
I don’t know. I would like to find out that information, part of the reason why I post these comments. They say we were in ile ife etc a long time before we came to gh.
Apparently edo is not a common tribe, however, I have met many since moving to Lagos. So perhaps it's a bigger tribe then I thought? Although I'm not nigerian, I just live here, so I could be wrong.

Home sickness and I have a few businesses that require my presence.
You really picked the worst time to relocate.

How is Nigeria treating you, have you been able to invest?.
Itsekiri here. Full blooded Warri
Hardly minor !?
Is the Efik/Ibibio considered a minority?
I think all except Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa/Fulani are considered minorities given that they make up around 70% of the country
Just so we're clear Hausa/Fulani is a misnomer
its not. They have the same elite class thanks to the Sokoto Caliphate.
So then what's the correct?
They’re both different tribes, i think due to their similarities and integration over time made them to be seen as one. From what I understand.
It is due to their political integration under the Hausa states and Sokoto Caliphate after them. That's why its Hausa-Fulani(have also heard, Halusi) and not Hausa or Fulani, separately.

We are a minority tribe in Nigeria according to my information. We are Ewe people, located throughout west Africa, Benin, Togo, Gh etc. if you didn’t know. I was just trying to confirm it jor. That’s what’s being asked

Edo’s exceedingly common. There’s a difference between common and majority-tribe. The latter is mostly political.
Yoruba boy ☺️
