There are certainly specific products which are exclusively made in one country (e.g. the most premium football boots) but I imagine an apparel product like basketball shorts could definitely have had a wider manufacturing footprint during that time, especially within Asia. If you still own the same pair and the SKU (product code – formatted 123456-999) on the listing is the same, I can't see the eBay pair being fake. Anecdotally I own several examples of the same jacket from the early '90s (albeit different colourways and seasons but the same year) and they are made in 2 or 3 different countries.

Thank you for this response. Thought it would be better to ask just to be sure since I happen to have an original pair that I know is authentic. Didn’t think a difference of China v Thailand could be a big deal but this all makes sense.

Yeah it's a valid question! I actually really wish there was a more accessible resource outlining where certain categories of product were made. I'd suggest they're probably fine, but feel free to DM me a link to the listing if you want a second opinion.

You’re way awesome. I think I’ll roll the dice to save you the time but that’s very generous of you to offer. Thanks again!
