The destruction, merging, and loss of the golden weapons created an unstable outcome of the traversal through time. The goal stated in the show of getting the megaweapon and undoing the damage garmadon did isn’t exactly what they accomplished; the ninja definitely didn’t MEAN to combine 2 sets of golden weapons and shoot them into space.
The result is an inconsistent mash of events wherein they most likely still occurred just were forgotten by some people like lloyd

Yeah the consensus seems to be that the weapons “destruction” created a merged timeline instead of completely overwriting the original. Events in the time traveled past at this point in the show are part of the overall present, while HoT has Back to the future rules strangely
The ninja don't destroy the Mega Weapon. It reacts with the Golden Weapons.
So instead of neat time-travel resolution, the resulting mass of powered-up Gold gets blasted into space, and the timelines snap back kinda messily. It's notably not a stable time loop.
