Unicorn Overlord! Loved the demo and cannot wait to keep going without a time limit hanging over me. Just need Amazon to come through and work to end. Happy Friday!

Molwar

I'm excited about playing this over the weekend too. I pre-ordered mine digital, and it's been looking at me for 3 days. Just need to finish my work day and I'm good to go!

Sea-Constant-9251

Picking up my copy from Best Buy today. I haven’t played the Demo. I got it based on reviews and everyone saying it’s great.

Nalfgar123

I just played until stage 2 and that was all I needed to buy the game.

olosniffer

I’m right there with you! The game mostly flew under my radar until January. I was sold after looking more into it and realizing I needed more Vanillaware after 13 sentinels.

RetroRocket80

Me too! Game is a masterclass in how to do a tactical strategy RPG and very unique, yet familiar at the same time. Strong GOTY contender.

StormMalice

I wish I were more excited. It is clicking but the sheer number of characters to manage is time consuming. I kinda wish it was relegated to the main cast like Triangle Strategy. I get it though as I imagine there will be huge battles to engage in.

WesleyTheDog

That game looks so intriguing. I'll def be following reviews and threw it on my wishlist.

TheFracofFric

Reviews have been overwhelmingly positive so far. I love strategy games in general (Tactics Ogre:Reborn esp) so this was always going to be a good one for me but it’s getting a lot of praise in general so far. If you can look past some silliness in the story and dialogue the gameplay is really strong

jonnoark

My Amazon copy is in the mail, and I am (im)patiently checking if it's been delivered yet very frequently...

TyrionTheBold

Tears of the Kingdom!

markercore

What's going on in your totk at the moment?

TyrionTheBold

I beat the wind temple a few days ago, haven’t had much time to play since. But my next few things are…. Figuring out the great fairies, and getting the travel mediallion. Oh and I REALLY need to find some little fairies. Getting a little tired of dying. lol.

markercore

Lil fairies can be found on random sky islands!  Good luck with the great fairies, oh that entire questlines starts at the stable just across the ridge from the hebras. The one with the newspaper headquarters. Sidenote the newspaper side quests were one of my favorites in the game. Now I'm second guessing myself on the great fairies, but I'm pretty sure.

TyrionTheBold

Thank you!! I’ve found some before up there and in random caves. I’ll have to get up high and look for circular pools of water in the sky. And you are half right on the great ones. You have to start the newspaper quests (which agreed, are great). And I randomly found one of the musicians and rescued him. But haven’t yet found the stable that kicks off this whole thing. But I only have a couple left. Well hopefully, I have a horrible case of “OOOO SHINY!!!!” When playing this game and always have to go back to each location 2-3 times because I get distracted and forget to check everything. Like the well in the center southern stable that takes you under the southern mountains, clear down almost to the southern beach… it was like 2 days later before I realized that the well was the first thing I did when I got to that stable and I had to go back and talk to everyone. Lol

markercore

Ohh yeah that's a good one! The Wells and caves were a fun surprise this time around. I found so many caves, but I guess it was only like half of them maybe. And I found only a fraction of the Wells.

Gogo726

Nice. Just finished a replay Wednesday. Hope you're having a good time with the game.

ajd578

Ori and the Blind Forest. I started this week and I’m obsessed. Glad I already have Will of the Wisps .

LucaThompson

Those games are both masterpieces

crimson777

Ori 1 has the win on story but imo 2 improves on the gameplay a lot. But both are incredible. The music and animation are pitch perfect.

Moses015

Ori is SO good. First one is one of the few games that made me cry. But by god do you ever get into like a flow state with that game especially once you get powered up near the end.

Lunar_Lunacy_Stuff

**Unicorn Overlord**. Waiting on my game to arrive from VGP this week. Also gonna check out the e-shop for any smaller titles I may have missed. Been craving something similar is scope to **Gunbrella**.

Whopper744

**Splatoon 3** - Going to do the last full run I need to do and participate in the Big Run. **Penny's Big Breakway** - This one is good fun. Some side missions are a little annoying since you have to start the entire level over if you fail, but still a great game. **Scroll my Switch menu and never fully decide what else to play** - Yep.

markercore

The infinite scroll is a worthy for, it defeats me on most streaming apps as well

Precious_Tritium

How’s Penny’s play? It looks so good but I’ve read it’s buggy.

Whopper744

A few worlds in and fine so far. Maybe one bug walking into something but wasn’t game breaking. It’s been good fun. Took a level or two to get used to it though.

amourmeg

Persona 5 Royal, I think I'm getting close to wrapping this one up. It's been such a fun game, I don't want it to end!

Clifely

play it again and go for a walkthrough to achieve 100%. It‘s worth it. Plus you can fight additional enemies and go for several incredibly powerful personas

ryesposito

NG+ is very worth it! And P4G is also great on the Switch. I finished P4G twice recently and I’m currently playing P3R via Xbox cloud on my iPad!

Budget_Process_164

Balatro

TheReelPliskin

It's literally all I can think about. It. . . haunts me

GoldenAgeGamer72

The Oregon Trail.

markercore

Ford those rivers! Don't catch dysentery!

Silverlynel1234

I want to buy the game, but it doesn't look like it is worth the cost

GoldenAgeGamer72

I caught it on sale for $19.99 plus I had like $3.50 in Nintendo credit so for me it was absolutely worth it.

ResponseAnxious6296

It’s so worth the cost and more, but it goes on sale a good bit. You should wishlist it to on deku deals so you can get a notification when it goes on sale next!

BrodyMC83

Just getting started on Shovel Knight and Balatro. Both are really enjoyable so far.

Edyed787

Animal Crossing Dark Souls 3 Secret of Mana Remake

Low-Meaning-1609

Finishing up Luigi's Mansion 3 and then undecided on whether to begin Dredge or Streets of Rage 4

Kitchener69

Heard a rumor that Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD could be released this weekend for Mario Day. I would be thrilled although it would be a much better Halloween game…

The-student-

That's not the rumor. The rumor is they could be announcing new details soon, I.e. a release date. Not that it would release this weekend.

rabbit-girl333

Finishing up the Princess Peach demo, afterwards Harvestella, AC, and Dragon Quest Builders 2 are on the list.

Gogo726

Harvestella was a pleasant surprise. Demo didn't grab me, but when it went on sale I figured why not? Ended up loving the story and dungeon crawling.

echoess84

I think I will finish Persona 3 Reload (I'm at 20/01 so I'm near to the game end) and today I bought Unicorn Overlord, so I will play also it

Locoman7

Mario Wonder and Slay the Spire

on_the_nod

Final Fantasy IX

astro-noodle

Love FFIX! I am stuck in Treno doing the dang card tournament lol. God speed!

WenaEsaOficial

Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley Started it yesterday and it is already one of the most charming games I have played on the switch. The art and music are amazing.

thebanzombie

Sorry guys I'm a huge traitor, I just got a PS5 so my Switch will be gathering dust for a while 😭

Molwar

Haha they have good games too, Horizon FW is a must play.

Nalfgar123

I want one for Helldivers 2!

kcfang

So worth it! Been playing it co op with my brother for the past week since he just got his PS5. He got it for FFVII Rebirth but spent most of his time playing HellDivers2 lol.

animepig

No shame, those Sony first party games do be good. Highly recommend Rift Apart

Proof-Research-6466

My favorite game on the ps5!

markercore

Nah I've been wanting to grab one for Alan wake 2 and rebirth and a couple other things. Just keep trying to justify the purchase to myself. Enjoy!

__sonder__

Considering the Switch is 7 years old and the Switch 2 just got delayed again, I don't think you need to apologize to anyone for this lol.

Moses015

And here's me trying to justify keeping my PS5 because I pretty much just play my Switch. Though for clarity - I play the Switch mostly because I don't make it down to my man cave much as I'm usually busy with my wife. And I like to chill on the couch with her while gaming. I just haven't wanted to sink the money into getting a Portal as I would rather something that could play games locally rather than just a glorified streaming machine. So been more looking towards getting a Deck.

Cardboard_Waffle

Trying to get back into Persona 4 Golden but I think I’ll end up getting sucked into Ballatro again.

Paranoid_Android_777

Unicorn Overlord as soon as it’s delivered!

[deleted]

**Unicorn Overlord**, I'm loving it, not a huge fan of tactical RPGs but this one has me hooked, the story is a bit generic but still enjoyable, and the gameplay is really fun. Also I'm playing FF7 Rebirth on the PS5, it's a good game but has pacing issues

markercore

How many sides can you choose between in unicorn overlord?

Asleep_Crew8072

**Fire Emblem: Three Houses.** What a masterpiece!

piracyisnotavictemle

same! 20 hours into my first playthrough already planning my second one lol

Fluid-Employee-7118

Guacamelee 2, just finished the first one, great games!

Christoaster

Pokemon dlc indigo disk before i dive into Helldivers 2

Dukemon102

I'm playing **Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe.** Whenever I have time or I feel busted I pick up the Switch to play a few levels. I'm having so much fun, this game is so much better than Star Allies. And I'm also playing **Yakuza 0** on PS5. It's my first game of the series and I'm loving it.

The-student-

Agreed much better than Star Allies. Just a really nice package overall, especially with the minigame land and the post game mode.

LucaThompson

Smash bros lol

tmntmonk

Still on the **beat 'em up** grind. Just finished up **River City Girls**. It was my second playthrough. I'll be moving onto the sequel soon. As always, these games are in rotation: **Streets of Rage 4**, **Dead Cells**, and **Shredder's Revenge**. Crossing my fingers that we will be getting a Switch announcement for **Spiritfall**; it looks right up my alley.

Kids-Menu

Dead Cells is always on rotation. It’s a must.

tmntmonk

Absolutely. One of my favorite games of all time. There will be periods where I don't play it for a few months, but it always comes back around.

Kids-Menu

Have you played ScourgeBringer?

tmntmonk

Yes! I just recently downloaded the demo and thought it was great. I was obsessed with "single screen" games for a while; I love seeing what can be accomplished with minimal design. It is on my ever growing list of games I need to play. I also want to eventually revisit Have a Nice Death, since I didn't give it enough time; are you familiar with that one?

Kids-Menu

I’ve heard of it! I’ll add it to my list and try it out when it goes on sale (the only times I ever get games haha)

hustleorstaybasic

DQ11S!!

DaveLesh

Starting Super Mario Bros Wonder on Sunday

hermanbloom00

The project begins! After going through **Penko Park** (pokemon snap basically, good fun) and **Time Travellers Guide to Past Delicacies** (very, very weird) my backlog was done. So I have started the **Atelier Ryza** games. The entire trilogy. Here we go! And **Boomerang-Fu** of course.

markercore

Huzzah backlog defeated!  I'm intrigued by the title of Time Travelers guide, but it was more weird than fun?

hermanbloom00

It's just a bit bonkers. Pythonesque a bit. And janky. Kinda fascinating though, as never really seen anything like it. Which for a guy in his mid-40s is saying something.

FuzzyHero69

I’ve been bored with gaming lately. Constantly searching for something to dig into. I have some backlog like Octopath 1, Mario 3D World, Sakuna, but I can’t get enough traction in anything to get hooked. Sorta spent the last year playing Hades and Stardew, but I need a break from those since I’m so deep into the post-game content for each that it now feels like work to play. Last game I bought was Mario rpg, but I beat it really quick. It was easier than I remember as a kid.

ChoirTeacherRog

Gonna try Balatro shortly. Other than that and FFVII Rebirth, honestly not sure

TanJovi18

Forever battling my backlog! On the last case of the first Apollo Justice game and really enjoying this trilogy so far. These games have become all time favorites for me. Just started New Super Lucky’s Tale and enjoying the laidback vibes. Got a couple of demos I want to try out mixed in to the weekend as well.

Baked_Tinker

Silent Hope, I’ve found it incredibly addicting so far

foodninto

I'll be playing games that start with the letter 'U'! First I will be finishing **Ufouria The Saga 2**, the art style made me think of Yoshi's Wooly World. The game is a platformer where you control four characters with unique movements as you take back the land you are in from an alien. Game is a bit wacky and it has a lot of humor. After finishing Ufouria I will be playing **Unicorn Overlord**. I didn't play the demo but I played a little yesterday. Finding the game really good so far!

nailim_ixam02

I got Mario vs. Donkey Kong this week and will try it out this weekend. Never really played the series, so I'm a bit excited

tweetthebirdy

Have fun traveling! I’m finishing up Pokémon Arceus - got the end credits last week so now I’m doing post game content and finishing up all the requests!

markercore

Thank you! Having a nice time for the most part so far.  Aw heck yeah Arceus! I'm trying to remember if I got to credits or not

tweetthebirdy

I’ve discovered it’s been nice to put a game down when I’m not feeling it and come back to it later when I am. Last time I played Arceus was a year ago, and I’m glad I got to credits this time. A lot of cool new stuff opens up after credits so if you’ve never gotten there and are ever in the mood, I’d recommend it!

jacksont8

Unicorn Overlord for sure!!!! I have a feeling this game is going to occupy me for many many months.

pipler

Unicorn Overlord ✨ As a Fire Emblem fan, I'm having a blast and I still haven't even got past the area covered by the demo. Totally feels like a lot of my FE knowledge are transferrable, though I have to play with more intuition and less maths (cause I don't think the damage calculation formula has been quite figured out yet slash too complicated). Tactical difficulty feels pretty comfortable so far. I chortled when I saw the green archer named Rolf, while Clive the cavalier is thankfully not as shitty as FE Clive cavalier. In fact, Assaulting Lance is currently the lifeblood of my army. And hey, I'm a fan of the milquetoast (or should I say, *vanilla*) knight trope and he shares one such battle quote (*on my honor as a knight*) with one of my favorite FE ~~husbando~~ characters, Silas, so there's that.

DarthCreampie

On switch: Stardew valley and Metroid fusion. Stardew has been so addicting. Fusion is my first 2d Metroid. I’ve only played prime remastered and loved it. PS5:FFVII rebirth

Kitchener69

**Owlboy** (2016) on Switch **Jedi Survivor** (2023) on PS5 Owlboy is fun. I thought it was going to be a Metroidvania but it’s a 2D action “platformer.” Nice cozy and pretty game.

Moses015

Think I'm gonna pick up Sparks of Hope on the retail sale, probably download some more demos and work towards finishing Metroid Prime Remastered.

amazonite_ocean

I'm going to play The Wild at Heart. It's a Pikmin-like with gorgeous 2D graphics. Every screenshot looks like a hand-drawn work of art. I'm also checking out Fashion Police Squad. I don't have much experience with FPS's but so far it's FUN. Also trying the Princess Peach Showtime demo!

markercore

Loved wild at heart for it's cozy art style, but found it s bit hard to tell what to do/where to go at times.

amazonite_ocean

Yeah I'm definitely lost right now but it's a good kind of lost. 😆 It's not a metroidvania but it really feels like one.

markercore

It almost could be one, sometimes you can't access areas til you have the right type of guys.

crimson777

Picked up Tunic recently and gonna keep playing. People keep saying go in blind and figure it out yourself but instead, I'm just going in blind and wandering around randomly and bumping into things. I feel it works just as well hahahaha

Swinups

Mario Odyssey!! I just got the game last week and it’s so much fun!!

markercore

It's an absolute joy!

Adorabears

Planning on working on a few of my Mario games for Mario Day! I'm finishing up **Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga: Bowser's Minions** since I am in Bowser's Castle in both Superstar Saga mode and Minion Quest mode. I'm also making my way through the plus worlds in **Mario vs Donkey Kong** since I completed the time trials in the original levels and have been pecking away at earning more Mario Party Points in **Mario Party DS** since I never fully finished the collectibles in that one. Besides Mario stuff, I always have a visual novel that I work though- and right now that is **Coffee Talk**! Got to Day 7 last time I played and have been enjoying the calming atmosphere it gives off :)

markercore

Aw nice, coffee talk looks very chill. I was sad to hear one of the main creators of that game passed away.

Adorabears

It is a very chill game! It's interesting to see the stories of the customers unfold as well as reading simple stuff like the newspaper in the game. I also want to try some of the drinks I'm making in the game at some point! I was sad to hear the creator died too :( I'm surprised to see the sequel ended up getting released since he died before it came out, but I guess he must have finished it or was close before he passed away.

wonton_gazpacho

Xenoblade 3 Future Redeemed. Sold Xenoblade hoping that the dlc would get standalone treatment like Torna. That didn’t happen so I purchased the base game again when it went on sale.  But, if the boys are playing Halo, I’ll be doing that instead.

ginsataka

Gonna try out princess peaches showtime demo

markercore

It looks like a fun time!

caught_red_wheeled

Playing **Super Mario brothers wonder** but taking a bit of a break. It’s a joy to play and I just started the fourth world. I’m on my first line through using mostly flute Yoshi but I’ve also used Nabbit for levels where flinching knocks me off edges. It’s really adorable, and especially the mountain section is really cool! If I have one complaint, it’s a bit about the accessibility options. They are very good, but there’s something that could make them even better. Currently, the player can only use accessibility options if they play as the Yoshis or Nabbit. I would’ve liked the accessibility options to be a toggle for every character instead so that players of any skill level can play with any character. The reason would be nice is because I have a physical disability, and as result, I can only play with the assists on because I can’t dodge attacks. Daisy and Toadette are my favorite characters and they’re almost not available anywhere else, but I can’t play them because they don’t have the assist option. So that’s a bit frustrating but the game is great otherwise. The reason I am taking a bit of a break is because I decided I wanted to complete some older games first. The issue is that super Mario brothers wonder has assist mode which allows me to do a lot, but the older games do not. So I was originally going to finish my first one of super Mario brothers wonder and then head back to those games, but I would probably start having trouble ultimately be disappointed because I didn’t have those options even with save states. So it’s a better idea to finish those games up first. First on the docket is the **N64 NSO online.** There’s a couple things I basically want to clean up there, but I’m starting with the first Mario party. I’m almost done with it after having a played it a long time, and I just have a few maps that I wanted to clear normally. It’s still a joy to play, but the gameplay is a bit slow and clunky. It is nice to see it again, though. I’ll head onto the sequels after that, but I know I’ll be able to get the first one done in probably a day or two. I’m on the rainbow castle so I only have a few more maps left. Another game I have also been playing is the **Game boy color Pokémon trading card game!** I’m doing a starter deck challenge with the Bulbasaur deck, and I plan to do that with all three. I’ve never actually used Bulbasaur at all, even though I’ve beaten it Charmander repeatedly. I’m also planning on doing a complete 100% after narrowly failing to do so with the 3DS version and not even trying in the original. So far it’s required an extreme amount of luck. Recently, I lost to the electric gym leader around 10 times and finally beat him after almost running him out of cards and then having him defeat his own Pokémon. It’s just crazy things like that. I also had a fire type gym leader that lost to me in about two tries because he didn’t bring any fire types, but I would’ve been destroyed if he did. There’s a lot of breaks and lucky strikes, but it is really fun! I did the **Princess Peach Showtime demo** but I have mixed feelings. The game is charming and I’ve been wanting Princess Peach to have her own game since forever (I missed the DS one initially, and didn’t do too well when I finally got access to it), but the gameplay feels a bit awkward. The controls feel clunky and the graphics seem washed out. The game is surprisingly tricky, with me failing about three times. for example, I died on the sword section because I didn’t realize I could jump to attack or should because of the lack of explanation. I also didn’t realize what the criteria was for failing the cooking game and barely made the time limit. I still had good time, but I’m not sure if it’s enough to buy it. I’m still going to go with my original plan for watching the whole thing and then deciding whether I want it. it might be a case similar to detective Pikachu where the game was great to watch, but I didn’t want to buy it because it wasn’t the type of game for me. But I’ll see later on when it releases this month. Finally, **Various Daylife** was completed as an idle game. I can see why people didn’t like it because the core gameplay is definitely there for a square Enix game, but it has a pretty nasty grind that can be a bit slow. I’m really into the characters and the classes, so I’m hoping I can complete it or at least get close (as a regular game). But it won’t be until later on after I get some faster things out of the way. I might still play it on the side while doing other things, but there’s something else I would like to do first on the side before I go back to it (has to do with basically finishing some books as part of what’s basically a library subscription that will be ending soon, and I can’t interact with the game and read at the same time). It’s the definition of something that’s in the middle of the road. It’s not the worst game I played, but not the best I got it on sale for 10 bucks, so I think it was worth it at that price, but probably not much higher.

quey211

Hopefully finishing up BOTW, had the game for years but couldn’t really get into it (mainly due to stick drift). Finally copped a wireless controller and haven’t been able to put it down for about 3 weeks. Also got Mario Odyssey last weekend, didn’t get too far into but I’ve had a lot of fun so far. Any recommendations of what to get next? I was thinking about finally trying (and completing) a Metroid game. I already have TOTK and probably gonna jump right into that after beating BOTW. How’s ultimate alliance 3, really loved the first two when I was younger but didn’t really hear too much about this one.

KiloPro0202

I just beat God of War: Ragnarok, what a great game. I’m pretty sure my 5 year old daughter and I are going to be beating Mario RPG remake tonight or tomorrow night. It’s been so cool how excited she is while we play through my 2nd favorite game of all time. I’m also finishing up some loose ends in Baldur’s Gate 3 before trying to move on to Act 2.

[deleted]

Metroid Dread!  I recently bought it and it’s been loads of fun exploring the beautiful 2D planet. The gameplay is so smooth and the controls are so tight. The bosses can be challenging at times but it’s nice to learn their patterns and beat them.

Mitsugichi

I just finished Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, now I'm waiting for Peach Showtime. The game looks cozy in a way, and that's exactly what I need after the intense battles of Rebirth.

rafaelck

Still on Diablo 2. 4th week in a row.

shhermes

Pokemon Scarlet, Princess Peach Showtime! demo, and the demo for Unicorn Overlord.

The_Long_Blank_Stare

*Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game* Sure, the Switch version has the least-attractive graphics of all the console versions, but that portability factor is wonderful…and despite the graphical trade-offs, there is a solid game there that has you planning/purchasing/deploying/rock-crawling/winching/etc. all towards the goal of discovery. It’s a game I’d been waiting on ever since first playing Mudrunner, a game themed more around exploration than hauling…and I finally got it. :-)

DoggieDMB

Another Splatoon 3 Big Run weekend!!! Gonna no life it and hope to get my last 28gold scales

TidalPawn

Patiently awaiting my delivery of **Unicorn Overlord**. I was curious about it from the initial trailer, then tried the demo and was hooked quickly. Can't wait to really settle in with it.

tom_yum_soup

I was finally able to get **Super Mario Bros. Wonder** from the library after placing a hold on it quite a while ago, so I'll mostly be playing that. I also downloaded the **Princess Peach: Showtime Demo** and will give that a try. In between those simpler, quicker games I'll probably still try to find some time for **Persona 5 Royal**, since I haven't had much time to play during the week.

Gizmo_24

Still working my way through Pokémon Scarlet & having a great time. Trying to purchase less this year and get through the ol’ backlog but Expeditions: Mudrunner is tempting me as is The Outer Worlds being on sale currently 😅

_Sensei_Sensei_

So I got around to playing Persona 5 finally, had to do a little extra work to get the Japanese version but was totally worth it, am asolutely loving it. I don't think Ive been this hooked on anything since Xenoblade 3. At some 23 hours of play time since last sunday and looking to up the numbers this weekend

oldfashionedglow

I just completed TOTK so I’m thinking of playing Mario Wonder since it’s a much different type of game. Any other recommendations for shorter games?

markercore

Yes but tired, I'll try to remember tomorrow. Indies?

mochivice

Before the Storm is on this weekends agenda.

__sonder__

What's that?

mochivice

Life is Strange: Before the Storm is a new three part standalone story adventure set three years before the events of the first game.

Pickle_juice_can2

Playing Mario party with my cousins. Also just bought Mario party superstars a few mins ago

Ok-Comb8457

I just finished getting 200% in tropical freeze, now I’m going to do another play though of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Torna to chill out. Hoping to get some different blades in the lotto to try out early game.

seadecay

Trials of Mana

happy-e

Persona 5 royal, I’m near the end of the summer holidays and am looking forward to the next adventures with the growing gang!

Downtown_Plum9772

I just picked up Graveyard Keeper on sale. I love Stardew, so I'm looking forward to tucking into that one. I started Breath of the Wild for the first time, and I wish I could say I'm really in love with it, but I find myself kind of...whelmed? I'm gonna stick with it though. I don't think I enjoy the durability system. One of my favorite things about RPG's is finding a really cool sword that becomes my ride or die, so it's odd swinging mops at people and then having to find a club or something once it breaks.

MigBird

Maybe I’ll finally start playing the MaRPGio remake… Or I might sink some more time into Infinite Adventures. It’s my first shot at a first-person dungeon crawl. I don’t know how to judge the mechanics, but the art and voice acting are… charming in a way that’s hard to describe. It feels like a game made by one of my old Skype groups, in a good way.

AveragePichu

If I can find the time, Tears of the Kingdom I have time for five things in life: - 40 hours a week at my job - ~20-30 hours a week for college - house work like vacuuming or cooking - sleeping - procrastinating one or multiple of those things (currently procrastinating schoolwork) And if I manage to remove one of those items from the list for a while, that's when I have Zelda time. I've had the game for two months and I'm maybe halfway through the main story. Last week I had no work because the school I work at was closed for a break, and wouldn't you know it, last week was the last time I played Tears of the Kingdom, because I've been procrastinating like mad.

Gogo726

Bought Prince of Persia on sale and it arrived Friday afternoon. My patience paid off because I knew Ubisoft games go on sale pretty quickly.

PointingBear

Trying to chip away at Bloodborne on PS5, but I'm terrible and really not having much fun with it. Tomorrow I'm gonna play a little SM3 to celebrate MAR10. I mostly use my Switch when I'm traveling, but I've got Xenoblade Chronicles as my next "big" game for when I give up on Bloodborne. 😀

drivingnowherecomic

I like to sample retro games I intend to pickup the OG versions of later on Nintendo Online, so I've been playing a lot of Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts on the SNES Nintendo Online library... Yeeep this game is as hard as I remember. I keep telling myself if I had a legit copy and played this on my retro CRT setup I wouldn't miss as many jumps... but I'm probably overstating that. Fun game tho. When you're alive.

amazonstorm

I'm currently playing Pokemon Violet! I started it at last last month and I'm having a lot of fun, even with some of the issues

MCben_jammin247

Probably Pokémon Violet (I started from scratch recently) in between sessions of WWE2k24

_Faucheuse_

I just started Ghost Song and have just a little time in the game. I might give Blasphemous 2 a go as well. Kind of a coin toss to be honest.

snisco92

Witcher 3

LarryDavidest

Mortal Kombat 1 is free on PS5 this weekend. So that.

Another weekend in Night City is just what the ripperdoc ordered. No signs of slowing down on Cyberpunk 2077, my choom 🤖🦾 Everything you've heard about the post 2.0 state of the game is actually true - it's beyond impressive what they've achieved here. We're talkin wizardry! To say this is the best open world in gaming is an understatement. Meanwhile, on Switch I just fired up Skyward Sword HD for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised with the visual fidelity - it looks significantly better than I was expecting. But to be honest... I just wasn't very engaged from the jump. Even actively trying to ignore the common criticisms of the game, the pacing is still slowwww, and it still lacks the epicness of most Zeldas. It feels more like a light-hearted anime than an epic adventure. Like a game Nintendo made specifically to avoid alienating the millions of non-gamers who bought the Wii. Bonus: Played about an hour of Dishonored, seems like a really mature and well thought out take on stealth. Just enough Bethesda dna to make you feel right at home, while still remaining it's own distinct thing.

kaminaripancake

I’m still playing pokemon scarlet and violet dlc

spookydux

Balatro and Alan Wake 2

TobenRacicot

Picked up **Unicorn Overlord** this morning. **Vampire Survivors**. **Stardew Valley**, just unlocked Ginger Island. So the endgame begins!

Proof-Research-6466

I will probably be playing my ps5 this weekend instead of switch. I’ll be playing the Crash trilogy remake and maybe start a new game+ with ratchet and clank rift apart.

krustydidthedub

Fire emblem 3 houses!

SubterraneanSmoothie

Happy Friday! Where you traveling? Hope you have a good time! I picked up the Yakuza Origins bundle on PS and started Yakuza 0, so I’ll likely be playing that. The controls and combat are a bit dated, but the music and story are really good so far. Really pulls you into the world. Have a good weekend!

DenimChicken6125

Working on Future Redeemed right now. XB3 was incredible and I’m really feeling the DLC

Ferrocile

Balatro and Etrian Odyssey 3 for me.

YoMrWhyt

Ayy enjoy your trip! Where you visiting if you don’t mind me asking? I just bought some brand new Joycons for my Switch after a long consideration. I haven’t had a pair since the ones that came with the Switch and those got destroyed by drift years ago so I’m excited to finally play these games again in bed! As for the games themselves: I’ll be playing **Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope** ! I bought it like a year ago physically cause the price was so good but I never got around to it. Excited to finally play it now that I’m on a turn-based roll even though I typically dislike turn based games. I’ll also be continuing my playthrough of **Steins;Gate** I was really enjoying the story! This is more of a “hour before bed” play through though so I’ll be playing it for a while. Finally, I’m playing **Yakuza Like a Dragon** on my Series X! I’m about 22 hours in. The story has really picked up. This is my first ever Yakuza game and it’s sooo good. Characters and humor are great. Definitely recommend it.

snailenkeller

FF7 Reborn for me!

Zima2k

Still Balatro, my most played game as of today (80h) and still counting, just got back on eShop today and got some patches, its a blast to play

WesleyTheDog

I'm nearing the end of Sea of Stars. It's been fun. I wouldn't say it's a 10 out of 10, but 9/10 for sure. Next up: Not totally sure yet. i need to get back to P4G and Skyward Sword. I also have Hogwarts Legacy, SMTV, and Mario Rabbids Sparks of Hope in my backlog.

trashday89

Kirby and the forgotten land as well as the princess peach demo

Temporary-Hotel131

Red Dead Redemption.

politirob

I've been playing all the Pikmin games since January and am halfway through Pikmin 3! If I have time this weekend I'll get a few more hours in to that game

GooberGrabbers

Hogwarts Legacy

tbettz

Just finished the 1st game of the Advance Wars remaster and I'll probably dive into 2 at some point. Excited because I only ever played 1 as a kid.

bja567

Cobalt Core! It is such a delightful take on spire-like deck-builders with a dash of Into the Breach / FTL. I am thoroughly enjoying it, even if it is slightly less challenging than STS.

The-student-

I've got two chapters left in Advance Wars 2 so I think I'll be trying that. I'm sure that's at least 5 hours of gameplay though so we'll see if I finish it up. Had no idea a Big Run was this weekend so ill be playing Splatoon 3 for sure.

Silver-Ad-8918

Feeling very cosy with Pokemon Violet. Filling out the pokedex a bit more and finally getting really into it after being initially disappointed.

karlan

iupz0r

donkey kong country return

HG1998

Completed TOTK (100% map, most armor pieces, I'm not going to use the ones where Electric Lizalfos tails are needed) so it's gonna be Super Mario Wonder. I got that months ago and never played it that much. I also haven't booted up Disco Elysium in a while. I might just start a new save as I have no idea where I was when I stopped.

DuskWing13

Working on a replay of Fire Emblem Awakening! Also going to start Unicorn Overlord and will use Granblue Fantasy Relink to break up the tactics games

piracyisnotavictemle

bought Fire Emblem Engage a couple weeks ago and beat it in a few days, had the entire internet tell me that Three Houses is so much better so I’m currently playing that. About 20 hours in, and it definitely lives up to the hype.

WhatsThis_Now

Finished Metroid Prime Remastered last weekend (rolled credits anyway... not a completionist run). Decided to mix things up this weekend, and have started Yooka Laylee and the impossible lair as well as South of the Circle. Enjoying both so far, didn't want anything too in depth beyond some tidy platforming and a narrative experience, both scratching their respective itch for me!

Kids-Menu

Visiting some classic titles via NSO: Finished EarthBound, started Link to the Past.

SailFinancial7102

i just got cult of the lamb and has been playing it for a while now

Garfield_slay

Skyrim

moleculariant

Back into Sonic Frontiers. I've been busy and only got to play for about an hour all week. Planning to fix that shiz tonight!

ilikedatunahere

Final Fantasy IV on the Switch & Resident Evil 4 on the XSX

kcfang

Hey Markercore, delightful weekend write up as always. Hope your traveling is safe and fun. I gota get more progress down with Yakuza 8, it’s just jam packed, I need to set all the side games aside and push for some main story progress :) HellDivers 2 has also been like genuinely awesome, haven’t had this much multiplayer fun since.. Monster Hunter World I think. Wish everyone a great weekend.

HoneyInBlackCoffee

Probably acnh, mario kart, and arceus. My switch arrives tomorrow hopefully

Whens the next nintendo direct?

HeftyNerd

I’m playing Balatro and Brotato. Balatro looks very fun, Brotato I own on PC already.

ChubbyChevyChase

My wife is deep into TOTK and hasn't shared the main switch in a while. Luckily, my in-laws had a spare switch lite so I bought that off them and am playing Pokemon Legends Arceus for the first time.

walksintwilightX1

Hiya marker, Oh cool, have fun traveling! Isn't it great to get away for a while and experience some different surroundings. I'm still on my fantasy RPGs as usual. I went back to **Dark Souls Remastered** last night and made some progress in Blighttown, found the red robe armor set and a new ~~staff~~ catalyst. But I can't wear it in Blighttown because you've got to have stuff with high poison resistance down there. Those blowdart guys, I swear. It's always satisfying killing them. Then in **Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning**, I found some sweet unique robes that boost frost damage, which is excellent when my rogue-mage already has daggers that deal frost damage at night. So nice when a build comes together. And outside of the Switch, I just saw the announcement that the fifth Kingdom Rush game is coming soon! I'm *so* excited. These are some of the best tower defence games out there, I have fond memories of my cousin bringing her work laptop home just so we could play the first game. I've gotten back into the fourth one and it's just as fun as I remember. The first three Kingdom Rush games are on Switch if anyone's interested. I don't know how they perform though, I've only ever played them on PC and mobile.

--Petrichor--

I haven't been playing video games much recently, but just picked up **Balatro** and it's been lots of fun! I love both **Dicey Dungeon** and **Slay the Spire**, this is great when I want to think more than DD and less than StS.

ohglory7

Started my first route in Radiant Tale today! Idk if I’m going to get around to Unicorn Overlord with me being glued to RT. I’m thinking about going back and finishing Fire Emblem Engage. I stopped playing because I burned myself out grinding for supports. For some reason, it’s been on my mind lately that I want to finish it.

burritosandblunts

Idk man. I'm just not feeling it lately :(

chilldood_22

golden sun

Kopratic

Just beat **Spyro 3**. My verdict: It's the best of the original trilogy. I love how they took elements from the first game (finding dragons and treasure) and the second game (the permanent & temporary abilities and the other cast of characters), while adding in something new (playable sections as those side characters). I liked how the flying sections were actually bearable. My issue is that it doesn't feel like the third game in a trilogy. It feels like the first two were beta versions or tech demos for this game. There were differences, but it felt like I played the same game 3 times. (Quick note about the remaster itself, great graphics and had no trouble on the Switch.) Spyro has a lot of potential as a franchise, and I know the original trilogy aren't the only games. But I'd love to see what a brand new, modern Spyro game would be like —even changing up the formula. I just am not confident it'll happen any time soon ~~despite it being the year of the dragon~~.

Ilan01

First weekend since 2022 where I dont have my switch with me, had to send it to fix :') But I'll most likely watch Splatoon 3 and TOTK videos in the meantime!

[deleted]

Started Sifu. I’m ass at this game. 10/10

Thewizardz7360

Theivish

Animal Crossing New Horizons, totally awesome

DoctorTide

Dragon Quest 11 to honor Akira Toriyama

mizukohachidai_VT

I was playing Clubhouse Games 51 Worldwide, trying to beat Riichi Mahjong and other games, it's a fun game cuz if you don't have people to play board games, you can play with robots and beat their levels of difficulty

AlpineSummit

I just got **New Star GP**! And after watching the Grand Prix tomorrow, I’ll do some races of my own!
