Nintendo cannot just port ActRaiser and Chrono Trigger, they don't own those games. It depends on Square-Enix, and it seems Square-Enix doesn't want to support NSO, as they didn't add a single game on the service.
Nintendo ported Jelly Boy because it was probably cheap to license.
Square Enix is just the worst! Them not porting their good games like Chrono Trigger is just as bad as Game Freak not wanting to port their mainline Pokémon games, like gens 1-3!
I saw the AVGN's review of it yesterday and it was just "okay". The AVGN's golden age is long over and the people still attacking him on the CinemassacreTruth subreddit fail to realize that. But anyways, it's too bad EA won't let them put the SNES version on there, since Nintendo made it. I mean they also made the Game Boy version of Tetris and that's on there.
Yeah, in middle school I went through a SNES Simcity stage and a PC SimCity2000 stage. Pretty fun.
During Covid, I got to work from home for a year, played SimCity2000 a good bit on a 2nd screen whenever I needed a distraction
His golden age ended around 2012-2013. Then we had the AVGN movie and that just made things worse. The stuff from 2014-2019 was at least decent to meh. However once the pandemic hit in 2020, things have been on a constant decline.
He needs to review Chrono Trigger and give it the same treatment as EarthBound and Final Fantasy VI. He seems to not be reviewing a lot of bad games, as of late. Most of the games are decent, like The Goonies 1&2. His review of that shitty anime dating sim mobile game, My Horse Prince wasn't that good at all! It was actually one of his worst since the Shrek one. The Black Tiger one wasn't awful, just not that good and very mediocre. At least that had the final appearance of the late Gilbert Gottfried. He died less than a year after that review and that was one of the last things he ever did in his acting career.

It’s interesting that Xbox game pass doesn’t have a problem adding EA, Square Enix, or any other developers new or old games to the service.
