This for me. Use settlement tech and make each station have a lower deck that's procgenned with traders, pilots, quest NPCs etc Move the Tainted Metal merchant down there because he's so out of place. Really those guys should be in Pirate stations.

More varied gravity levels (maybe some high-gravity planets that impact your life support usage, jetpack, and amount of fuel needed to take off), multiple biomes per planet (e.g. forests & plains in one part, desert in another, maybe some tundra near the poles, etc.), rivers, better & deeper lakes & oceans, and maybe a city every now and then--like a planetary archive site but bigger. Oh and maybe some multitool mods allowing us to earn the big bucks scanning rocks like how we can with flora & fauna.

I’d love to see better interaction with existing (and hopefully new) alien races. Townspeople should have multi tools to help fight back against the invading sentinels. You should be able to do bounty missions where you have to track pirates and ne’er-do-wells on foot and they shoot back. Running across random huts or groups of aliens in the wild would be new and fresh, especially if the groups have some kind of differentiator like this group keeps cattle, that group mines this particular resource, the other group is bounty hunters looking to track down a scofflaw, so on and so forth.

- Controversial, but add ships physics of Elite Dangerous or a more realistic combat system for those who want it - more ship customisation - being able to summon ships in galactic stations - an inventory of your ships to easily compare them - gravity - high and low tide system - fix the underwater bases please no more fishes inside - underwater combats - possibility to populate your bases - wars or being able to invade, manage a galactic empire or a criminal guild spreading terror - characters and mini-scenarios, written events - better game optimisation - weather that varies depending where you are in a planet, how can it be sunny everywhere in a planet ?

Living ships could use an update as well. Like all they really need is a couple new weapons (or just a their own version of old weapons) the ability to add inventory slots and maby its own version of a economy scanner.

To go with the living ship theme since we have exotic Multi-Tool, a Living Arm Cannon, has similar traits to Samus Aran's Mode changing mechanic. Just like the living ship expands when being used. So much variety of colours as the Living ship. Since I know they like reusing assets, utilize the thrusters as the blaster part. Neutron Cannon would be so sweet charging up that tool, giving that Metroid Prime feeling!

More than anything I'd love for the big flying birds etc to officially become part of the games companions instead of needing to use mods to get them or to get an egg from someone who has, and if you could call them and have them have them land so that you can jump on or interact with them that would be epic.

I would like to be able to place the Mud Hut without placing the base computer and claiming land. Just want a temporary survival shelter where I can place a couple refiners and whatnot and get on with exploring the surrounding area, then take the shelter with me when I leave the planet.

Should be able to drop a beacon that lets you build a camp within say 50u radius but doesn't register as a base. You can interact with the beacon to pack it all up and claim your resources back, otherwise it's not permanent and just disappears when you leave the planet/system.

The ability to reset missions, for whatever reason, if you have not done them properly, you forgot something or there is just a bug. I have not played for awhile, but have been seeing all the updates on YouTube and Twitter. When I stopped playing I was rage quitting over the Expanding the Base, Overseer bug. I posted in this about a year ago, asking for help, and didn’t get a response Has this been solved yet?

The ability to reset missions has been in the game for years. Just travel far enough away from any system that the mission is in and you will get a prompt to reset it on the log screen.

I would looooooooove if they would ad more interactable stuff like for example. I can sit on a couch and on a chair, why can't I lie on the bed? Also, what I would ad to EVERY game that has base building mechanics: Dragon Quest Builders 2 has a really great system of putting stuff together to get something official out of it. For example, you place down a table and a chair, so you can sit at the table, but when I ad a plate and silverware it suddenly gets declared as eating table and people will start bringing food to that table, sit down and eat if they are hungry. When I put down a toilett and a towel into a closed room it becomes a basic bathroom and its possible to use the bathroom etc. And in the end. It would be really really cool to be able to change sizes of every build item. Not only specifics.

Tough choice Big one everyone else would agree with is a new class of flyable ships that have a proper interiors, not something as extreme as a freighter, but just kinda getting bored of having just a fighter seat all the time. The other is just straight up fishing. Or at the very least having the ability to make aquariums and capture-release aquatic life into other areas so we can make aquariums.

I want to be able to pirate the frigates that other players send on missions. You could scan the system to see if there are any potential targets and then see if it’s worth trying to attack them. It would add a cool dynamic that is similar to pvp without actually being attacked by other players.

I dunno, the NMS flight model drives me nuts on a regular basis. Thankfully, there's really little to no need to actually fly much other than quickly getting from point A to point B. But I generally avoid space combat because it's such a colossal pain in the ass (that and it's so mind-numbingly easy).

Having not played since the beginning, and just finishing the new timed event. The stations all have a couple of varied outer looks but are so static inside. If HG doesn't want layouts randomly generated, I can get that. Makes it easy to get what you need quick and back out there. The color, maybe even textures, of station walls though? Being chosen from a few set options seems a good compromise. With the outside of the stations changing with a few tweaks it would add a lot of illusion of variance without a ton of work. In an ideal world each species would have several station designs specifically for their systems, and slightly subtle shifts in furniture types. Keep the clean split layout universal, but changeup the background fluff to make them feel occupied by that particular group. We've already seen pirate stations flipping the normal layout of one but still being usable. I hope thats a good sign of things to come.

I would love an a actual evil faction in the game instead of just pirates. They are just criminals. An actual organized invasive antagonist would be great and they too get attacked by sentinels. Ships that can hold up to 4 people. Exocrafts that can hold multiple players. They already look like they can.

Two things. First, in theory it should not be difficult to add some form of procedurally generated alien race tied to different regions of space. Most of the mechanics are already in place including (but not limited to) trade opportunities for locally produced/found goods, the procedural generation process, settlements, clearly defined and mapped regions in each galaxy etc etc. They don’t necessarily have to be technologically advanced, but they don’t have to be barely evolved proto-Gek either. Second thing: I run a LOT of derelict freighters. I do enjoy the variance of the interior layout but it does get a bit methodical. I would absolutely love if we occasionally found, let’s say, a derelict capital class, non-static random spawn, with different/varied enemies, multiple floors, dozens of rooms, save points and actual locations where you harvested up to maybe three different modules. They’re always S class and you always get a cargo bulkhead for each module you harvest, but if you WANT the hyperdrive module you have to go to the engine room and if you WANT the fleet combat unit you have to find the command center. I suppose for that matter if we are redoing derelict freighters I might as well put in an ask to redo our own freighters; I get the need to have a consistent layout but I wish it was more interesting with some crew quarters and maybe, I don’t know, the option for windows that don’t require some really creative building.

\+1 imho this is the most important one thing that Hellogames could add. An epic mission and journey which takes you beyond the centre of whatever galaxy you are currently in. Give us something meaty to go after, for us many long term players. Its taken me nearly 6 years to get close to the centre of the first galaxy, I would love if the game gave me another hook to go much farther and strive to achieve. Anyone remember the original Elite missions?, the final one took real life years to get to for those of us dedicated enough. I think No Man's Sky community have proven we are dedicated enough to warrant such a long term mission, instead of the effort going into just another expedition. Take time out from those, catch up on bug fixing the game sorely needs, and add in a long term mission.

Sentinel freighter update ! Make them worth fighting ! And even able to board them ? Better aiming mechanics , the laser and some starship weapons can’t lock on properly and always miss . But definitely sentinel starship updates . More technology in settlements. Anti pirate defense turrets for your settlement ? That would be so good . Maybe make the hired pilots actually do something instead of just like 1 damage at S class .( maybe even allow them to be shot down ) . Better galaxy names , keep the references going . Make something worth continuing on with the galaxy list ! ? Maybe even an actual list !!!! Teleport location favorites ! ( so you don’t have to scroll pages and pages for one base ) . And lastly , maybe add more features to the starships weapons . More weapons in general .

We have bases, colonies, frighters. Next step could be your own space station (maybe solar system/economy). Make a poor system rich. Can be some thing similar like the colonies. You can make a pirate station, or a normal one. Even in regions without a space staton, or clean up a broken one. The next step woul be your own galactic empire.

There's so many things I would add. Bigger ships like the size of the Millenium Falcon or Shuttle Tydirium that can have multiplayer or multi-NPC crews. I would love a replica of the NASA shuttle with the Canadarm and crew on board. Orbital Bases. I know there's already a way... but I want a way built into the game. They could make special ships to construct them. Like a NASA shuttle with a robot arm :) Bigger space stations. It annoys me when ships entering/exiting are going through the ceiling or their wings are half stuck into the wall or upper walking area. Space battles, like Freighter vs Freighter. When the Sentinels are at 5-stars in space and they're calling in the big Dreadnaught, I should be able to call in my Capital Ship and fleet of combat and support frigates. Then huge space battle ensues. The ability to own more than one Freighter. Sometimes when a fleet of NPCs warp in there's 3-4 Freighters in the fleet. More storage. 10 vaults ain't enough. Make the vaults bigger or give us more vaults or both :) Water overhaul. This game is gorgeous, but the water isn't the best up close. More wave variety instead of the always calm waters. Deeper oceans. Rivers, Lakes, waterfalls, etc. A landing gear/ship upgrade that lets you land on water.
